To prevent the minute hand jumping like that, try moving it an hour forward then moving it backwards to the minute you want to set it to, then push in the crown. Not sure it will work on that watch but it’s worth a try. Great video as always Tony!
@@talkingtimepieceswithtony Very cool strap Tony. Worth the wait and luxury experience unpacking!!! Thank F*^% the strap was actually in the package too 🤣
I've always been an Oyster bracelet fan and not so much a leather strap, BUT I have to say that is a very unique strap and makes the entire watch totally pop. Congrats, man--gorgeous piece!
I just purchased a Cartier Santos WWSSA0030.. I’m so in love with it.. I just ordered a black alligator strap from my AD.. I’m curious on how you order a custom strap direct from Cartier?? Great show Tony!! I’m a new subscriber 👍🏻👍🏻
Regarding the minute hand jumping. I'm sure you know this but just incase, if you turn the crown backwards a tiny fraction (not enough to make the second hand move but just use the gear back lash) then push the crown in it might be ok and not jump. Let me know how you get on.
@@talkingtimepieceswithtony Also, you can try like getting the minute hand like 5 minutes over the accurate time, then get it to the accurate minute time, and then push the crown back in. In the new oris inhouse movements that is the easy fix that works! Hope I explained what i tried to say clearly. If not, let me know and I'll try better.
Hi Tony, not sure, if you read this. I ordered my leather strap, too. But not sure of sizing. I ordered the smaller size, which is smaller, than the brown you get with the watch. I’m in the last but one hole. Not that much material inside. When I close the clasp. It’s perfectly centered at my wrist. When I’m using the bigger size from the brown strap, it looks like yours. Like sideways at the wrist, and a lot of strap inside. It’s the converse direction than with the smaller size. My wrist is ~17cm and I got the medium version. What to size up to the bigger strap? Thanks 😊
Hi Tony, awesome video. Just wanted to ask you a question regarding the material of the strap, i know you said it was calfskin but Cartier offer different types of calfskin. Just to name a few, Calf Like Toile De Voile Without Finish, Grained Calfskin Semi-Matt, Smooth Calfskin Nacre, Grained Calfskin Irise, Nappalk Calfskin Shiny, or Vegetable Calfskin. Can you please confirm which one you used to customize your strap? Thank you in advance!
hey buddy thank you for this thorough video. The watch matches you quite nicely and the strap really blends in nicely with your tatt. If you dont mind me asking, what size is your wrist?
Hello sir, I have no idea if I have a right to ask this question, correct me if I don't. I was wondering what do you, and other watch collectors do for living because as I'm carefully watching, most of the people can't even afford on of your watches to feel the enjoyment and it is so annoying! Are these kinds of watches really for high society, or if not, how could you guys possibly manage to afford them? Thanks

I assume this is an “extra large” santos.
Nope, just large.
