Not being funny dude but low balling him $450 would wind me up to. Negotiation is a two way street. If you wanna pay that low, order online via a rep dealer. You got what you deserved which is rudeness from him to match the rudeness of your offer…
fakes are getting so good i honestly dont trust anything other than the AD same thing happened with sneakers. resellers trying to get 3x retail prices on shoes that are knockoffs
Yeah StockX became so cooked, flooded with "authentic" fakes - then again sneakers made in China reselling for 3-5x the retail tag was stupid to begin with
Totally true. And you can TEST DRIVE the watch before spending 15-20k on a pepsi. A rep is great to be wore outside the house and not worry about scratches or suffer any loss in a robbery. Knocks on wood.
You mean “surely”. I tried to get my grandfather a birthday present, walked in asking about an OP 41. They made me feel like I’m an idiot for not knowing about how sought after they are and it would be best that I look at other brands.
Clean GMTs are going for about 580-590 USD on websites not including international shipping. So 600 USD in hand for the watch is absolutely solid and fair
Yes you're right. I think he was just being penny wise and pound foolish trying to get it for 450.00. No wonder the owner was mad and threw him out. HAHA
@@mirijevac1312no you can’t. The best GMT replicas are produced by one single company and they are not selling them for $200. If you buy one for $200, then you are getting a big piece of crap.
I bought a replica Panerai when I was in Thailand back in 2005. I was there with a group of friends and our taxi driver/tour guide brought us to the store, and we all bought fake watches just for fun. The result was that I loved the way it looked but seldom wore it since like you, I felt like an impostor whenever I did. Not surprisingly it broke within a matter of months anyway. The one good thing that came out of it was that it inspired me to buy the real deal as soon as I could afford one, and I gifted myself an authentic Panerai 6 years later following the successful launch my business in 2011.
I bought a Rolex a few years ago and I feel like an imposter when I wear it. In fact I think I'm going to sell it and get and Oris. Then I'll spend the rest on pussy and beer.
Funny, I bought a fake Panerai about 16 years ago here on RUclips. Not even knowing it was a fake, because I didn't know the brand back then. It broke down 2 years later, and after Googling I learned it was a fake. Couple years ago I bought a genuine PAM024.
There's a very significant technical advance since 2005, even good fakes looked like a laugh, compared to how scaringly accurate they are now. Actuoally, the technological level of superfakes shows, how much extra Rolex gets for their stuff, especially in the case of simple steel Submariner.
I think there has to be a reminder on WHY the fake watch market is booming especially in the past few years - and that's because of brands like Rolex where trying to get a watch for retail has become impossible for most people. Regular folks might have the money to actually buy a Rolex they want at retail but you guys know how that works at this point. So, where do people turn to instead? The replica market. It's obviously much cheaper, convenient, and hassle/drama free. Yes they're not authentic but people are just tired of playing the game that Rolex has set us up to.
Try taking your clone in for service and see what happens!. All mechanical watches needs service eventually and unless you have the skill to service that clone yourself you have to service your watch at a watchmaker. And guess what!!!...When they discover it's a fake Rolex they will destroy the watch and contact the authorities since it's illegal.
I ordered a clean factory GMT-Master II and replaced the crystal and bezel with better equality and the new DD3285 movement with a 70h reserve. If you don't care about using it as an heirloom or anything, there is no reason for going to a AD and having to spend 5k on jewelry before you can buy a genuine GMT, or going to a grey market dealer and paying a big markup.
I’ve never been asked to buy jewelry from a Rolex AD before buying a watch. Rolex is very strict on the guidelines that they require their ADs to follow, and they would drop the AD in a heartbeat if they caught them leveraging their brand in order to sell items from another brand. Rolex also secret shops, and checks in at their ADs regularly so if their is an AD conducting this type of business, then chances are that they won’t be a Rolex AD for long, and will have to switch to being an Omega store, or something similar. Just go into an AD if you want a watch, talk to the employee for a bit while trying on their exhibition models, stay in touch after leaving, and you’ll get a call eventually without having to buy a bunch of random stuff. I’ve purchased a Pepsi, Starbucks, black Submariner Date, and a GMT Root Beer all from an AD, and the only other thing that I ever purchased from them was a wallet, and a ring which both came after my first two watch purchases.
@@kelbyvaldez4141 How recently did you make those purchases? I’ve spoken to 7 different ADs in my state. They all have variation of “our waitlist is closed for GMT II” or “we don’t have a waitlist, we do have a client list.” ADs know that the watches are selling for 2-10k over retail on the grey markets. They only get a handful of the hype reference numbers, so they use them to reward their loyal and profitable customers. If you don’t believe me, the internet is replete with similar stories.
@kelbyvaldez4141 that's because it was introduced this year and now you've already established a purchase history at your AD before this. Rolex is creating scarcity right now by buying back watches like companies buying back stock.. Rolex can suck my dick before they get my money.. I'll wear my 1k super clone in stride. I'd rather save my money and save up for a Valcheron Constantine where I don't have to deal with any prepurchase bullshit while I wait until my time comes for the v4500
I used to work overseas for the Gov, and I would buy replicas for me and my guys. Having a nice watch is one of many tools you keep in your toolbag because it can get you out of almost any jam. Rolex name is recognized anywhere in the world, but obviously, I didn't want to potentially lose 10s of thousands of dollars. Replicas to the rescue. Personally being a watch guy, I understand the hate towards Replicas, and what they do to the watch world. But this wasn't that. I wasn't trying to feel cool or fool somebody when selling it. It served a purpose. Thats it.
Yep. As long as your are not trying to scam anyone I dont see any issue with it. If anything, reps should make genuine brands try harder to make things that cant be replicated. If your product can be replicated for a 10th of the price you charge and thousands of people are happy with them then you should re-evaluate your strategy a bit.
@speedmaster001 Def not. Seiko is great, but doesn't carry anywhere near the same weight as Rolex. You can't trade a Seiko for a car if needed. You can't stake a Seiko for multiple thousands of dollars in cash if needed. Again, Seiko are great watches, but objectively don't have anywhere near the same clout or value as Rolex. I don't feel any guilt wearing replicas in a case where you may need to abruptly part ways with. That's just basic common sense. I'd rather lose the $300 on my wrist than $10k.
@@chadgraber4575 I beg to differ. There is no imitation nor look alike is better than the original. A FAKE is a Fake. I own multiple watches and wear the type of watch specific to the activity and places I go. I wear formal Swiss dress watches for formal occasions, my Omega Speedmaster Broad Arrow GMT as a daily, Seiko SSK GMT for hikes, Certina DS Podium in rose gold chronograph for parties, etc. But I definitely will not wear replicas or fakes and that’s the end of it.
I've unfortunately bought 2 replicas, one was a Cartier in NYC ($30) and another GMT Master from China ($100). Both looked and worked great, but both got fog on the underside of the crystal after wearing them for a while. In each case it was a waste of money and the right thing to do would be to buy a reputable brand like Seiko or Citizen if you want somthing solid in the lower price range.
It's not always necessarily about looking richer than you are. I live in London (UK) and I don't wear anything over 1k, otherwise there is a very real risk of getting it stolen especially at night. A fake would enable people to wear a perfect replica without being too scared to lose the real one.
I guess I'd have to say that a thief could obviously be fooled as well thinking they're getting the real thing and the victim could be injured in the process.. probably just doesn't pay to wear either at all, and that's a shame. I was in London last month and have to say it seems safer than NYC, where I used to live.@@F-xe1gt
I’ve had replica’s for years and they ALL still work well and keep very accurate time! The horror stories of them being unreliable and inaccurate is simply not true and plain old scaremongering, probably by those that have paid huge sums for genuine ones and don’t like the idea of people being able to buy something that looks identical for a fraction of the price! If a replica does stop working you throw it away and buy another rather than pay £650 for a service which is what a friend has just been quoted for a service on his Omega!
Below 300$ they are "fake" not "replica". There's no decent watch for the price you paid, those are just as bad as they can be: bad movement, mineral glass crystal, brass case with a thin layer of chrome on top... Just trash stuff. You do NOT find the "good stuff" in markets in the USA or in random web sites, you need to know where to get the good ones and learn a bit before to spend.
@@ces69 let me correct you: if a rep stop working you can have it serviced too... Or learn how to do it. I now repair and service genuine multi thousands dollar watches, but I learned over (good) replicas starting from around 2014 :)
Great video! Very interesting experience. I have a 16600 that I bought new in 2008 but I totally get the allure of a super fake. Don’t have $11,000 to throw at a Rolex? Then buying a $500 replica Rolex that is nearly indistinguishable from an actual Rolex makes a lot of sense.
It doesn't give the same feeling people who work and save get. Like thinking watching porn is the same as having sex with a woman. Without the feeling it isn't close to the same thing
@@anthonyw7237 I get your point but your analogy would apply if comparing the experience of owning photos/videos of a watch to that of owning an actual, physical watch. But the comparison here is between two actual, physical watches. The Clean fake Rolex is a substantial, high quality watch that closely rivals the Rolex in appearance, fit and finish down to tiny details. Is it a Rolex? No. But for $500 It’s an impressive watch and for many who cannot possibly afford to drop $11,000 on a watch, a high quality fake Rolex is an awesome option.
I purchased my replica because over the last few years, in Spain, I have been mugged three times, specifically for my watch. The real one is under lock and key, in the UK. It's ironic that the watches cost less than the Ray Ban sunglasses I was wearing, which were authentic! I actually get pleasure from my replica, because it looks and feels like the original, but carries none of the risk. It's not really any different than the super rich having replica jewellery made to wear, whilst keeping the original in a safe deposit box. I think I'm justified in wearing my Rolex clone, simply because I actually own the original.
Where did you get your replica? I have a couple of genuine Rolex’s. But London has gone crazy now too, not worth it anymore. Considering getting a really good clone to wear around and not be too worried about it. Cheers 👍🏻
I never bought a Rolex for the exact reason you mention. It’s a magnet for muggers. They don’t know it's a clone and personally I don’t want to be severely beaten up because I was “showy” with jewelery.
This ^^, $500+ is the price out of China no overheads, that shop is not free. $700 or a bit more is fair I'd say. I know of a top end fake shop in Soho (London), you're paying £900 there for a top end fake, but you can get your loom out and choose the best one.
@@fontyyy Any way you can tell me where that place in Soho is? I have a couple of genuine Rolex’s. But London has gone crazy now, not worth it anymore. Considering getting a really good clone to wear around and not be too worried about it. Cheers 👍🏻
Thanks for the great comments. I agree, when the shop owners treat you like crap it just isn't worth it, for any item, even the most authentic of items. I have had some of those experiences lately and just walk away. Even though I wanted the item, the treatment wasn't worth spoiling the experience
My issue with Rolex is that they're just way overpriced compared to their competition (Omega, Breitling, etc.) While I certainly get their appeal, IMO, there's a TON of watches (not fakes) that are as good (if not better) than Rolex at much more realistic prices. Buy (for example) an IWC, and you significantly reduce drawing attention from the nefarious types 'cause most of 'em probably never heard of IWC, LOL...
They don't have competition such a rest down because those name brand watches you just spoke of. You can walk into a store and buy you cannot do that with a Rolex sooooooooooo Rolex has no competition. They are over priced for a reason because it takes one year to make one watch learn some facts before speaking like a poor uneducated sheep.
Like it or not Rolex really is that watch to own to show success. Which is why it’s the most replicated watch. Even the Bugatti of the watch world RM doesn’t have that same universal appeal. Spec wise You can argue they are overpriced but the demand for them is so insane that they can just price it however they want.
$600 is actual their bottom price. I bought a clone in Pattaya, Thailand from an actual watch store with real watches, like seiko and Oris, and the guy only deals with high end replicas(under the table). I bought the submariner for $600, it was 904L steel and almost indistinguishable from my actual real one I had but what you said about the crown and movement is correct. that's only the thing that gave it away because I'm telling you it was literally indistinguishable from the real one, except mine is a no date so I couldn't mix them up, lol, even how it wears and weighs. It also ran 20 seconds fast a day so I gave it to some Thai guy who had helped me out with a few things around town. He's was pretty happy with it.
I will be in Pattaya in November. I'm interested in getting a replica. Can you direct me to the store that you bought the super clone from? Your help is greatly appreciated.
I bought a submariner replica in MBK in Bangkok. It has rolex logos under the case as well, and supposed to have a Swiss movement. I paid 13000thb after some negotiation. Which is 350dollar or so.
Watch collector for 30 yrs and I have been buying reps for over 10 yrs and I feel fine (I tell people and colleague) ! I had paid off my mortgage than wasting money buying gens at grey prices where people profit from me. This hobby used to be geeky now everyone wants to flex on Insta. It kills the hobby. Buying reps opens up a huge level playing field where everyone can enjoy the design without taking a mortgage on it.
do you buy the reps to deal in them ? I found chinese replicas for around £150GBP can be scary good. I left one in to jeweller for link removal and they complemented me on the watch (root beer replica) clearly didnt know was fake. I notice most Chinese fake Batman/Batgirl have white numerals on bezel where the real one is more off white first give away
I've purchased several replica watches, and agree the quality is pretty impressive. My latest one was a John Mayer Yellow Gold Daytona, which the seller re-plated with a Genuine-matching 18K gold. Apart from the weight difference from not being SOLID gold, I doubt anyone would be able to spot it as a fake. As far as how I feel about it... I just love the look, and I think Rolex the company and the Rolex AD's are as big of scammers, as the replica makers. If China can make these watches so convincing for pennies on the dollar, then WHY should I pay the exorbitant prices for a genuine watch? And don't get me started on the gray market prices for Rolex... 😂
Eventually when you're trying to sell off these clone watches one day...the resale value is Zero..many fake watch owner's told me that these watches won't last very Long..😢
@@ngengtat3541 the Replica market is much more developed than most people realize. There are reddit forums dedicated to reselling used Rep watches, and watchmakers that specialize in servicing them. But you're right the cocky Rolex dealers are terrible to deal with. ROLEX NO LONGER SELL WATCHES. THE SHOWROOMS ARE LIKE MUSEUMS NOW, DISPLAY ONLY!!
@@ngengtat3541 I have real and fake watches and honestly I don't expect to sell the replicas, they are just for looks and fun, not an investment like a real watch. But mine have lasted for 5+ years without problems.
At this same market I had a lady hit me and say "you're a bad man" for my initial counter offer on some dumb little thing. Ultimately she ended up accepting something within like $2US of that price haha.
If the clean bezel color matched your "gen", then you don't have a gen... The bezel color is the absolute #1 tell on the Clean factory pepsi's. It looks like brick red in the sun, which is why I only wear it at night.
nope, did you ever owned a GMT (or just worn few)? There's like 3 grade of red (and blue) on the pepsi gen, and they changes accordingly to the production year, and that's true even for the CF replicas (V1, V2, V3)... so you would see two gen with no matching colors and so you could compare a gen with a CF rep and found the exact match color (depending of the production as said) like in this case. The bezel color is the least thing to check to identify a clone VS a gen.
When I first got back into watches, I came across the reddit community around the replicate watches. I did consider buying a super clone (though I didn't), and there are tons of really good vendors online that you can buy from for affordable price tiers. I would have to imagine that the guy you dealt with likely bought the watch from some other source and not the actual clean factory which is probably why the price was so high. The super clones are getting more and more convincing every year, though from what I understand, its not uncommon for the factories to bake in some kind of flaw that makes it easy to know that its a fake if you know what you are looking for. Some of them do this deliberately as a kind of calling card. Honestly, I kind of wish some of these factories would make their own watch designs because they clearly have the skill. I suppose they just are not likely to make the same kind of money off of selling their own watches vs some replicas.
The real interesting market, though, IMO, are the homage smaller brands. Often they take a basic Seiko or ETA movement and drop it in the clone as it's cheaper than the premium movement. So is it real? Well, about as "real" as all of the other companies that use the same movements and have huge markups. Basically they are superclones but have their own brand name on it instead. San Martin for instance, comes to mind. It's an obvious clone, but not branded as such, so it's OK? lol.
Hey could you tell the shop location in which you found this super clone. it ll be really helpful since I'm travelling to Vietnam and Im looking for super clone for GMT Pepsi as well.
Hey! I’m not sure what the name of the shop is but its the one nearest to one of the entrances. It’s a big store compared to a lot of the ones inside Ben Thanh. You need to ask multiple times for the super fake. Good luck!
4:49 the magnifier that shows 17 is blue... Thats what gives away these fakes usually, takes like 10 seconds to notice it. That being said, I'm not opposed to the fakes, they look and feel incredible, and for the money, the craftsmanship is kind of worth it.
Yes because I'd be more than happy to buy the real thing at it's regular MSRP but I refuse to pay 10 to $15,000 more than what it originally cost and even the suggested retail is way way too much in all reality for what you were getting I mean honestly I own seven or eight vehicles and didn't spend that much for all of them lol
@@eustab.anas-mann9510 honestly I would have to say no I don't have any kids the vehicles only want stuff every now and then crotch goblins on the other hand want stuff daily all the time 24/7 so I would have to say crotch goblins are much more costly
and the "original price" when the GMT-II was sold in like the late 60s (I don't actually know if it came out earlier than that, but still) was about $2500 in today's money. An expensive watch but not unreasonable for someone who wants a nice heirloom piece that they wear everyday. I mean I've spent more than $2500 on cell phones in the last few years, as I'm sure many other commenters have. I'd 100% pay it for a watch that I know would be buy-it-for-life, and I wouldn't feel bad at all about wearing it everyday. $10,000? $20,000? No way.
Before continuing watching the whole video. I could tell that watch is a fake by the 0:01 mark of the video. It's good to know the fakers still have work to do... To all those people who say $600 is a good price for a watch that nearly looks like a Rolex, $600 is enough for you to get a REALLY good quality watch from a genuine brand, with warranty. The fake not only won't run ANYWHERE as well as a Rolex, you won't be servicing it nor repairing it. You also won't be selling it. Be honest with yourself. Did you want a good watch, or did you want to appear to have the wealth of having a good watch? Do you add extra exhaust tips to the back of your car?
HAHA...NO reputable jewelry store keeper, jeweler or goldsmith is going to "refine" a replica watch especially a Rolex...unless, he/she is just sketchy themselves. Remember, it's not a car, it's a timepiece. Cheers!
@@RJ-ez4ne Service, regulation, waterproofing, silencing the rotor, changing the crystal, spring tension on the bezel etc etc. A lot of jewellers and watch makers are grateful for the work.
I buy reps before I buy a genuine. It's actually a good idea for myriad reasons, especially living in a crime ridden shithole like Los Angeles. The rep goes on the wrist when I'm in the city and the genuine is for work, family, and nicer areas.
Hi CB, I ran across you channel and I just want to tell you that your content is very good. You are absolutely correct about the multiple levels of replica watches and the different price points. Calling them replicas sounds so much better than fakes, and for you to get the service you got from the Vietnamese street vendor is to be expected. Remember he is selling as many "Fakes" as he can so his integrity and professionalism does not surprise me one bit. As a watch enthusiast I own many real pieces and like you I want to see how close the replicas can come to the real deal. In your example, I want to point out to you and your viewers that yes the CLEAN model with those CLEAN stickers currently is the very best clone, however they revamp and have newer versions each year. Version 3 is the latest and the difference is quite shocking. Your street vendor would not open up the back because he has Version 2 and how I am sure of that is when I watched your video and you move the crown out to the first position and change ONLY the hour marker did you notice how the GMT hand (the red needle) kept shanking when you were moving the hour hand? The hour hand movement is designed for us to change the date quicker instead of going all the way around. In the Version 3 the GMT needle stays firmly in place without any wiggling. And if they opened up the back the Version 3 is a 1:1 replica of the internal stamped items. Of course Im sure the materials may differ but the 3285 and all the other stamped items are in the same place! I just returned from a part of Asia and they sold Version 3 to me for $550.00 USD, after lots of negotiations. If you saw it you would buy one just for informational purposes for your viewers. Again, keep up the great videos as they are really informative and to the point. Thank you
Usually these places don't allow us to film anything. However Im not sure if he had a hidden camera and he was talking the entire time. Are you suggesting he is faking it?
You can get the same CF clone shipped to you for less than 600 and that’s inevitably marked up based on the dealer and shipping etc. buying in person should a been 350 easy
If you had waited till 2 weeks ago, you could get your hands on the latest Clean clone V3, with the ridiculously good DD3285 movement. Bezel colour is slightly off from gen, but overall its amazing to look at. Well worth the 600+ and 3 months of wait time.
I’ve been thinking about getting a replica, because I’m on a waitlist at a couple Rolex ADs but people have told me that they are never going to call me, and I’ll never get one unless I pay +50% on the grey market
if you just want a submariner, gmt, or daytona. Is not worth buying a real one imo. Honestly since I got my first rep I started questioning life and how everyone has been brainwashed into thinking a stainless steel watch could be worth $20k+ when people in china are making the same watch for $500 minus the waterproofing and refinement quality under magnification. The crown can sometimes be gritty, but just get it cleaned and lubed like any other watch and youre good to go.
Even people will think your gen Rolex is a fake one if you wear in public 😂 Why bother than to wear the gen one? Even the gen one needs winding, so why bother +- 2s per day?
This video is incredibly well done with a lot of information. Really shows that you did your homework which very few peopleon youtube do about this topic. THe fake you had in Your hand in vietnam is an outdated one with aclone of the previous generation 3186 movement, which isnt as smooth as the current 3285 one. These fishy vendors also buy not from factories themselves so their purchasing price of the watch is probably very simmilar to what an end consumer would pay if he bought one online (~500$), so its pretty impossible to get a good deal on them in an in-person store.
Super clones are just great. I have fake Batman I wear all the time for couple of reasons. I keep my genuine Rolex in the safe and it’s a good investment watch. I don’t have to worry about scratching it or getting mugged. And for all the practical purposes clone is as good as the original except running at -4 instead of +2 seconds a day. I can live with that.
Where did you get your replica? I have a couple of genuine Rolex’s. But London has gone crazy now too, not worth it anymore. Considering getting a really good clone to wear around and not be too worried about it. Cheers 👍🏻
@@Aaro578 I’m not sure if mine counts as Super Clone but it is a good clone for £700 with Swiss Movement. How do you know that you won't get mugged for wearing a fake?! Muggers are going to say, 'oh sorry, I thought it was the real McCoy - sorry about me stabbing you?!'
You might get mugged all the same. The financial loss might not be big, but you could still get seriously hurt and traumatized im the process. Just saying.
I would buy a super fake before I bought an original, absolutely. If it had the same water resistance and the same looks that made me want the original to begin with, why not save $10k. I just don’t have any desire to own a watch that expensive anymore, nor pretend that I do. I think the super fakes are fine until the person wearing it or selling it tries to pass it off as real. It would be impossible to trust a person once they pull that move.
Got a couple a 41mm Tiffany OP and a Black GMT 116710LN,the GMT is unbelievable, having owned both a Original and the Fake there's no difference until you shake the Bracelet and it Jingles, they're my Gym Watches so doesn't bother me 😜
Thanks for posting this video. I agree that the quality of the top fakes today is insanely good and you really need to know your stuff if you are not buying from an AD. To answer your question, yes, I have bought several replica watches and do so without guilt because I also buy genuine watches. I have been buying luxury watches for over 25 years. I used to travel to NYC frequently and always got approached by the street vendors selling really bad fakes. One guy had a shop where I bought T-shirts and other tourist crap. We got to know each other a bit and one day said he noticed my watches and asked if I ever bought replicas watches. I said no because I'm a watch guy and I can tell the difference but he insisted that he could get top quality fakes that pass the eye test. About a month later I had a genuine watch stolen while traveling on business. On my next trip to NY I went to see my friend and told him what happened. My thought was, if the replica was good enough I would buy one to wear when I traveled and leave the real ones home. He went out to his car, came back with a box and asked me to follow him to the back office. This was my first introduction to top quality replicas and I was surprised. Needless to say I bought one (16610 Submariner with a Japanese auto movement) and expected it to fall apart in a couple of months. To my surprise it held up well and was pretty accurate. I ended up buying 5 more replicas of all the rolex and omegas I owned at the time. After that, I only wear replicas when I travel while the real ones stay home in the safe.
If it had a Japanese movement it wasn't a top quality rep. The very best 16610 rep is the TC and it used a clone 2824. This one is discontinued sadly as the maker went on to make his own watch company called Ginault. The next best ones as in ARF, RAF, JF, use a clone 3135 and most people who buy them do some sort of modifications to them to make them better.
People often buy super fakes to leave around the house in case of theft to throw off criminals. I also know people who wear fakes going out certain places, and they leave their real ones at home in case they get robbed. Keep in mind that it's becoming more dangerous in the US. I live in a rich area, and my car got broken into, and some high-end shops got hit. Cops don't care anymore, and I can see the need for this, but I never wear or use fake products.
I happened to meet a source boss on a business trip to Guangzhou, China, and bought a high imitation watch from him. Even someone like me who is a professional in design details can’t tell the difference between real and fake watches. 😂😂Now I will take turns wearing them. If you need a channel, I can recommend his contact information to you.elbowcough
Just buy a fake one people 1) you are paying 50k for a 3k worth of material or do you want to pay 500 for 100 worth of material? 2) you will get robbed of your watch. Better lose 500 than 50k 3) you ding your watch? That 50k watch will lose 5k of its value. The 500 watch? The scary thing about buying a 'super fake' is that if it's a scam, you can't go to the authorities saying that you got ripped off while trying to buy a fake (insert luxury brand here).
For me, I've just purchased one... the full intention that one day I will have a real one. I personally see it as a bit of test drive to see If it's something Im going to wear in the future and If anyone asks, it's fake. If I did purchase real in the future, Id probably put the real one in a safe for special occasions and wear the fake as a daily.
I was already in Vietnam and was curious to see if they have these available at Ben Thanh Market. I wasn’t in the market for a super fake so I figured why not? Lol. I hope you enjoyed the video!
great video. I did buy a replica Breitling 10 years ago in Hong Kong. Similar story as you, I went to a recommended person. They should me some cheap copies, I said no I wanted the real one. Finally, they showed me a really nice one and asked me to come back in a few days for the real one. I must say I have compared the replica to the real one and unless you are a watch expert, you wouldn't know. I am not a collector and I would not buy one again in the future I prefer to have the real one but the reason I bought it was because I always admired a Breitling and knew I could never afford a real one. At the end of the day, it tells time and works the same as the real one. 10 years later never had an issue. One day I will be able to afford a real one.
Obv no white gold indices or hands, probably not platinum on the bezel. Not solid gold links on the gold models. Mechs on top clones are 1-1 (except the free sprung balance which is very expensive to replicate. Also the jumping hour mech on the GMTs is a weak point but can be swapped for OE. However once serviced the replica mechs are very good indeed inside Rolex levels for accuracy and as the watch itself including a service does not cost what one service from Rolex will is it an actual arguement? I always wonder is anyone actually claiming a real street value used Rolex 126610LV at say £14k is better value than my VSF 126610LV on a well known rep watch forum was at £430, serviced, regulated and water proof tested? Picked up in person, no postage, no scary payment method. We met in a coffee shop, I held the watch before I paid. My boss has a real 116610LN (ie a maxi case black date sub) and to our 50 y/o eyes under normal light you'd not be able to pick the fake out if someone said one was fake. The weight, the edges, the feel, all the same.
So it poses a moral dilemma to some to buy a rep that might feed a Chinese watch maker’s family for a week rather than supporting a Swiss non-profit with huge mark-up that benefits charities in one of the richest countries on earth, while they already sell everything they make without a problem? Okay fine, buy the genuine article. It won’t be any more accurate, durable or attractive, nor will anyone notice or care. It's your money, do what you want. Don’t get me wrong, I believe in paying homage to the original designers and/or founders, but they are long gone. I mean, if you’re driving an Escalade, you own a rebadged Tahoe. The badge only means so much, so why not just state what it’s really meant to represent? Steinhart and the rep factories are both selling clones but only one is honest about what they're copying.
Great story. In the early 2000's, I purchased a replica 5 digit Submariner in Chinatown, Manhattan. I did my research, learned how to find the best replica and how to negotiate. After rejecting a few bad ones, a very convincing replica with an automatic movement was offered to me for $270. After some serious haggling, where the seller walked away a number of times, we finally agreed on $70. I wore it for over a decade, until I bought a Rolex Submariner from an AD last year. The replica fooled everyone who saw it, even friends who owned luxury watches and tried it on. I never had an issue wearing the replica. However, I have now "seen the light" and will never purchase another replica, nor wear this one again. We live and learn. Cheers!
Amazing. Great story! I’m glad you ended up with one from the AD in the end. It must’ve felt amazing. Thanks for sharing and glad you enjoyed this video!
I have seen a Submariner clone. It had a few issues, seriously easy to tell it was a fake. But looking at it on the wrist it totally looks fine.I absolutely support the clone industry. Super Clones for sure! Why worry if it looks the part why not. The watches are accurate timepieces. If Rolex can’t be bothered supplying watches then let the counterfeit market do the supplying. 😊
Hate to break it to ya, but you bought a fake clean (yeah, they make replicas of replicas). See when you set the time? Turning the crown downwards should make the hands move clockwise with the proper movement. Yours move clockwise when you turn the crown upwards, ergo no dd3285 and no clean watch.
SUPER CLONES are the best trust me, I bought the same Rolex from Wristova and it's been a few months since I bought it and it still works like magic!!!
Good video. I agree. I bought three homage watches from China, to see which one I would save up for (a Speedmaster, a Yachtmaster and a BB Chrono), it’ll eventually be a BB Chrono, as I just like the color combo best.
waste of time, just save up and get one off the grey market or get your name down at an AD. Bluesy Sub took me 9 months had it 4 weeks its an amazing bit of kit, just feels nicer than my Omega's. I'd be interested to see the comments from people who buy these SC's and wear them daily just to see how long they last...
600 is the going rate, I got a sub date and it’s appearance was spot to the genuine with minor flaws you mentioned and I got it for $600 but after wearing it for two weeks it kept 20 fast a day and seem not to be able to regulated to cosc standards so I just gave it away. These new clones are nice but they still don’t hold up to a real deal. But they are water proof and I used when diving and held up fine.
I have looked for a Rolex clone from and honest dealer. Impossible. They are from Pakistan, India, China and look good on line but read their reviews...nothing but scam artists. I am not willing to spend $600 to $1,000 on a gamble that I may never see the product or receive one of poor quality. I give up.
Brilliantly done. Buy or no buy. Bad sales people shouldn't be supported. Personally i'd go Homage before i go fake, then save for the real watch. Keep up the great content. Cheers.
@@ClickyBezel Homage is still stealing a design that one company invested massively in. Unfortunately most of the best known watch brands have been using each other's designs for decades and companies like Rolex practically encourage it. At the end of the day it's just not very cool to wear a copy except if you're doing it unwittingly or (maybe) if it's a fairly generic design. Would you drive a cheap Ford that looks identical to a Ferrari F40?
This will always be a controversial topic and there will always be different opinions about it. My personal standpoint is that I draw the line at fakes. Fake is lying and deception. I have several homages of brands like San Martin, Cronos and Steinhart. Yes, Islander is also more or less to be considered as a kind of homage. But it differs from the other by being an improvement of the original.
If I would have the money to casually spend on expensive brand watches I would still buy a supper replica because otherwise I am just blowing away money on something that loses value. Also if the original would gain value for certain then I would still buy a fake so I can wear it every day and keep the original in a safe. It just makes most sense for me !
I bought a fake Franck Muller Crazy Hours in Shanghai for $100….it looked amazing and ran perfectly for nearly a decade….got my money’s worth for sure!
Thank you for being serious about it. I've been going through RUclips video's of people joking about fake and real watches. I want to be educated when it come to watch buying.
Gosh, this really makes me ask the question. And before I ask it, this is coming from a guy who has two Daytona’s, one submariner, 2 yacht masters … yeah I’ve got a problem. OK I get that Rolex has intellectual property which I do definitely value. But they need to get their guys to learn how these other guys can produce something at a profit so much less. Obviously the answer is they’ve got a tremendous markup. Then you start to think from the buyers perspective what kind of leverage do we have. And the only answer I can think of is… Consider buying fakes. Anyway, I just thought I might spark some conversation with this outrageous comment. Wish you all the best. Super interesting video. You deserve far more views.
It's an interesting question, though I suspect Rolex's precise understanding of the hugely elastic demand for their products means leverage from buyers is unlikely to come from the purchasing of fakes. But it's an interestingly unusual economic phenomenon, wherein Rolex are in the commercially enviable position of being able to sell their products to a large number of less discerning customers simply BECAUSE they are so highly priced. Although it's an outrageous - I'd say unpalatable - thought that someone would be prepared to pay so much for a Rolex watch without any particular care or appreciation for their aesthetic value or quality of workmanship, it's nonetheless true that it does happen (ask any person on the street who they think makes expensive watches, then which model they'd buy? Most would probably just say "a Rolex)), so I doubt the buying of fakes is likely to have any effect on Rolex's pricing - if anything, I feel it would be more likely to increase the prices of super fakes. That said, you have to question the "tremendous markup" Rolex enjoys when you consider scarily good super fakes can be produced and sold at much lower prices - I mean, they can both be great watches in their own right, so which one represents the best value? With that in mind, I'd say that if you really like the design of the watch, yet can't afford the real thing (and aren't interested in pretending to be rich), then super fakes offer the best compromise. So would I buy one? No, because I'd know it was a fake, but I can understand and wouldn't judge others for doing it - unless they were trying to pass it off as genuine in an attempt to impress that is.
For those people who said they are cheap fakes or will never buy one, these people have not seen the super clones in person. In fact, no one would know you are wearing a replica just by looking at it. Yes, they are that good. BTW, I would never buy anything from a rude sale person.
I'm buying one because the watch I want is £10,000 and my local AD won't sell me one. I'm not paying £16,000 grey market when I can pay £420 for a rep NO ONE can tell is a rep.
People get too hung up on replica's, if you like the watch then buy it and enjoy it, you are buying it for YOU , I have had gens, reps, homages, etc I but them because I like them.. It is very very rare that anyone would "call you out" or even be bothered by what you are wearing. Buy and enjoy... Have a great day everyone 👍
Very good info. Took my years to really understand rep world!! Yes yes I have purchased 1. I kmow rich guys who swap the rep bracelets to gen. Also many wealthy guys want to own a AAA rep with their gen. . Then let's say you get into the FRANKEN WORLD. That gets addictive you start swapping GEN PARTS TO THE HIGH END REP
Im getting a CF Rolex Explorer 39mm.. i never wear my Gen Explorer because it brings too much unwanted attention as of late! Surprisingly i do wear my Gen Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra alot and people dont really notice it.. I will happily wear my Rep Explorer knowing my real one is safe at home.
a REP is a great DECOY. You wearing your GEN in Vietnam is like asking for robbery in daylight. DO NOT WEAR GEN in developing countries. Actually even in EURO, lots of robbery on Rolex wearers. So wearing a rep gives you a peace of mind. Also, buy directly from TD and save yourself the trouble with negotiation. Pricing is very transparent online.

No doubt. An AD would have turned around and walked away without a word...or a number on a calculator.

*We bought a Saigon Superclone for $350 during rainy season. Russians with money ruin the market during the weekends.*
Good point.
I'd rather buy a Tudor or an Omega if I can't get a Rolex. Buying a fake one is silly.

Where did you order from
@kelbyvaldez4141 that's because it was introduced this year and now you've already established a purchase history at your AD before this.
You could achieve the same purpose with a Seiko. Everybody knows Seiko and you felt guilt free wearing one.

Whats a best place to buy a superclone Rolex GMT 2 pepsi and patek nautilus 5711?
I can source you one from the factory let me know if you're still interested.
Where to buy super clone
Then cost recent version clean factory is really good
$100 isn't going to change anyone's life . Should have just bought it . This story with no video and no watch seems fake news.
Interesting…
$600 is Not “So high!”

It's an obvious clone, but not branded as such, so it's OK? lol.

and the "original price" when the GMT-II was sold in like the late 60s (I don't actually know if it came out earlier than that, but still) was about $2500 in today's money. Do you add extra exhaust tips to the back of your car?
the other scary part is that you can take the superfake to a jeweler who will go in and refine the watch to scare you further.
curious how much is to " refine" the watch?

Thank you

So where exactly can I find this dealer? am heading there soon.
Super clones are just great. I have fake Batman I wear all the time for couple of reasons. I keep my genuine Rolex in the safe and it’s a good investment watch.
What the price for the replica?
If it had a Japanese movement it wasn't a top quality rep. The very best 16610 rep is the TC and it used a clone 2824. This one is discontinued sadly as the maker went on to make his own watch company called Ginault. The next best ones as in ARF, RAF, JF, use a clone 3135 and most people who buy them do some sort of modifications to them to make them better.

If the super clones are so good they are hardly discernible from the real thing, does that mean the quality is very much in par as well?
Obv no white gold indices or hands, probably not platinum on the bezel. Not solid gold links on the gold models.
Mechs on top clones are 1-1 (except the free sprung balance which is very expensive to replicate. Also the jumping hour mech on the GMTs is a weak point but can be swapped for OE.
However once serviced the replica mechs are very good indeed inside Rolex levels for accuracy and as the watch itself including a service does not cost what one service from Rolex will is it an actual arguement?

Thank you for being serious about it. I've been going through RUclips video's of people joking about fake and real watches. I want to be educated when it come to watch buying.
SWISSAREX has become my go-to for high-quality replica watches. Their selection and customer service are excellent.
Getting "mad" and/or walking off is a sales tactic in these markets.
And the only answer I can think of is…
Consider buying fakes.
I can source you one from the factory let me know if you're still interested.
I'm buying one because the watch I want is £10,000 and my local AD won't sell me one.
I'm not paying £16,000 grey market when I can pay £420 for a rep NO ONE can tell is a rep.
Agree
The reason the fake looks as good as your real one is because they are both fakes.
If he paid 15k for his Rolex he definitely got ripped off.
For real, it's hard enough to know what watch someone is wearing, let alone knowing if the watch is gen or not
@@jonathanyng I absolutely agree, 👍
Very good info. Took my years to really understand rep world!! Yes yes I have purchased 1. I kmow rich guys who swap the rep bracelets to gen. Also many wealthy guys want to own a AAA rep with their gen. .
Then let's say you get into the FRANKEN WORLD. That gets addictive you start swapping GEN PARTS TO THE HIGH END REP
It’s actually pretty easy to notice this is fake. The engraving positioning in the rehaut doesn’t match. That’s a dead giveaway.
Are there any guides on buying high-end super-fakes? 🤔
It’s apparent that bro never dealt with counterfeit store owners before ;)
Lack of professionalism firm a counterfeit dealer? Are you serious?
Yes
You only feel like imposter because you know if you bought a super clone without knowing you'd die with your Rolex proudly on wrist lol
I'm sure your wife was like, "no , I think you need the $17,000 watch!"
a REP is a great DECOY.
