There's actually a better version than this one available. Funny how far the factories have come along with this- a few years ago it was all about who could mod their bezels with the best platinum fill. There were all kinds of formulas and tricks but today, there's no need for that.
3:26 The triangle on the bezel seems to be narrow so the dot feels out of place on the left watch. But I can't tell if it's geniune or not, it just look better on the right watch.
The AR coating is the most obvious giveaway. Knew at the beginning of the that the left one is fake because of all the glare it gives out. If they fix that you'll literally have the perfect copy
I chose correctly. What gave it away for me was when you compared the bezels of both watches. If you look carefully the bezel knurling going around the watch has very slight striations on the left one on the concaves. The watch on the right did not.
The right has the proper circle at 12. The circle in the triangle should always be inside the triangle 1. Start with the numbers at 6 o'clock under the glass. Fakes usually have the numbers laser inscribed on the inner side wall. A real Rolex has them embossed into the wall with nice smooth sides and polished edges. 2. Check the Rolex crown on the inside of the glass at 6 o'clock. It is made of precisely placed dots. 3. Check the date numbers. The Rolex numbers are precise with clear well-defined paint edges. Fakes are usually smudgy under high magnification with raggedy edges. 4. Dial Colors usually don't match exactly. 5. The 12-hour circle should be inside the triangle on a rotting bezel watch.
The E'S in watch #1 also differ from the real one. "OystER PerpEtual RolEx. Each has different width in the way its spelled and line thickness. hope im right!
This is why Grand Seiko just can’t be copied unlike Rolex. Its just so hard to replicate fine hair brushing, zaratsu polishing and micro perfection of GS.
I bought a black dial, 2 tone stainless/gold 'AAA' Sub back in 1999 and it cost me $US870 and I still have it and it still looks very nice. I've had it serviced a couple times and the watchmaker said the movement was of good quality and it still keeps time within about 3 sec/day.....but its NOT the real deal and I never tell anyone that it is.
.......and now, the secret is OUT! My advice is to sell the POS watch, buy a classic car and splurge on a nice dinner in a flashy Hollywood restaurant. Who knows......you might even be offered a part in a B-Movie.
I can always tell fake straight away from the 6 and 9 markers. Fakes have sharp edges and the real Rolex makers have softer, almost rounded edges. Easy to spot and works every time.
The crystal’s AR coating gives this one away. I’ve seen some superclones good enough to fool me by their exterior though - but when all else fails check the balance. I’ve been in this field almost 30 years and I’ve never seen any fake go to the extent of replicating a proper freesprung balance and paracrom hairspring. There are Frankens where people will swap a genuine movement into a clone though.
The fact that the pip was slightly higher, thus making it ‘off center,’ for me was the kicker on watch left. The engraving on watch right was impressive, but the fact that the pip wasn’t right was a dead giveaway away for me. IMO. Nice job on the video. Thanks for doing it..
What does the movement look like? Chances are the fake has had real parts used along with fake parts. Lots of stolen rolexes prob get used to build fakes because they are hard to sell in some markets.
I have a real 126610 sub and a *amzwatch* super clone and they are nearly identical. Even with my loop. My local Rolex dealer was shocked and actually couldn't tell the difference which is scary!!
Not to toot my own horn but I called the fake out at 1:04. However, that is with the benefit of having a real one to compare to. Without that, I don't think I would have been able to tell.
At 0:26 you can already recognize the fake. Just look at the reflection compared to the real one when it is under the camera. Either they have messed up the AR coating or there is none at all.
I've watched your videos for years and noticed today that I've not seen a video of yours in months! That I had been unsubscribed from your channel. Just thought I'd let you know. Have a blessed day ❤
I don’t think I agree with you what you said about Rolex themselves because in the tens of thousands of hours that I watched videos on these watches I’ve actually seen Rolex turnaway watches saying they were fake and they turned out to be not so it really is tough but then again someone like me who could never pay 10 or $20,000 for a watch ever in my lifetime to buy a watch that nice for $1000 which I did and they say only one percent of the entire population would ever be able to tell it’s fake is cool. I think I’m not gonna resell it. I just bought it so I could wear it.😜
@@donxman3365 I just remembered googling premium copy until something came up. That looked the very best that I wanted. I don’t recall the actual place.
The 'ever so slightly' rough edges on the hands was the first giveaway. Then the pip being slightly high , then the 'rough' finish on the grooves of the bezel. This is a great rep but the standard Submariner reps are now even better. The price point is about $700 USD for one of these which is still a very expensive watch for a normal person.
My son purchased a super Rolex copy and it was perfect. The giveaway was when the back cover was removed and the balance wheel is compared. There is a huge difference between them but the rest of the movement is the same.
My goodness! I too thought that "Right" was the fake due to the lack of clarity of the "Rolex" wording. Would have been incredibly interesting to see the movements! Have they literally mechanically cloned a Rolex?
I've recently began my obsession as a watch collector. And i must say- out of all the luxury brands I've been researching, for me the amzwatch's watches are the most intriguing.
Great fun video. Loved it. I picked the fake immediately... From first image.. Maybe I should be in 'the business'? Hands were not perfect with rougher edges, the bezel marker at 12.00 was horrible and misshapen, and overall it definitely looked a bit chintzier. Alone without a comparator it gets very tough, if not impossible.
I was once scammed by rolex too. I went to my local AD and asked for a steel Sub. Sure, they said, it will be 3 years on a waiting list. It was around 7 years ago.
It's always about machining because putting the excellence of Rolex in machining and finishing costs the money they ask for. Bezels was enough to tell it was a fake + color different. It gets tricky with frankensteins.
The lume pip on the bezel is a "dead giveaway". The lume pip on the right watch is completely center, so the right one is real and the left one is fake (I also compared it with my 2023 Rolex DeepSea James Cameron watch). Also the Rolex engraving on the clasp is very sloppy (Thick and jagged) on the one on the left. It looks like somebody took "a dremmel tool" and engraved the Rolex logo on the clasp. Another dead giveaway. Great video and thank you!
On 3:34 you can with 100% certainty say that left one is fake. Its just the finish on the metal and triangle on the bezel that is absolutely fckd up on the left one.

There's actually a better version than this one available. Funny how far the factories have come along with this- a few years ago it was all about who could mod their bezels with the best platinum fill. There were all kinds of formulas and tricks but today, there's no need for that.
@@TheOtherMisterRogers I always wanted to modify my bezels, but finally quit after years of trying.
3:26 The triangle on the bezel seems to be narrow so the dot feels out of place on the left watch. But I can't tell if it's geniune or not, it just look better on the right watch.
Rolex engraving on a genuine Rolex is Flawless
The AR coating is the most obvious giveaway. Knew at the beginning of the that the left one is fake because of all the glare it gives out. If they fix that you'll literally have the perfect copy
Lots of rep owners will send the crystals out to be AR'd
The rolex masterpiece tgats discontinued has to be the best rolex ever made. It looks perfect. Meteorite is a stunning dial wow.
👍 just saw the meteorite Pepsi’s are going for ~$59k!
@@WestCoastAce27 my dream watch is the rolex 40mm masterpiece meteorite dial discontinued.
I chose correctly. What gave it away for me was when you compared the bezels of both watches. If you look carefully the bezel knurling going around the watch has very slight striations on the left one on the concaves. The watch on the right did not.
This was so good to watch Michael. I chose the wrong one. I was absolutely gobsmacked! Thank you for posting.
Just started watching vids about how to tell the difference, and this one actually taught me something, AND was entertaining. Thankyou. 😊👍
Would be nice to know who manufactured such a good rep.
A link and a producer Michael promo code for the fake would be awesome!
Lmaooooo
The question is if they can make them that good why are the real ones so expensive 🤷♂️
Because Rolex is overpriced.
It's nothing but branding.
Which replica company website did the watch come from... Asking for a friend...
The right has the proper circle at 12. The circle in the triangle should always be inside the triangle
You can immediately tell that watch 1 is fake. Just look at those jagged edges on the triangle. 3:35
Yeah, but the real one had real crappy engraving on the clasp too
This is why Grand Seiko just can’t be copied unlike Rolex.
Its just so hard to replicate fine hair brushing, zaratsu polishing and micro perfection of GS.
True value in GS. Rappers bling Rolex.
For a reason why Rolex is losing ground to other Swiss watch makers like Omega.
You’re so cool lil bro
@yamafanboy5514 find me a rep where this is not true. Even the best 1:1 noobs etc all have this issue.
@yamafanboy5514 genau so ist es#!!!!!
This replica is almost better than the original ...
you probably should stick with $200 watches.
@@DonLee1980he’s not a dumbass like you blowing thousands on a watch lmao
why copy a watch brand if you're that good?
because the value of the watch is the brand, not the materials or manufacturing
The watch mechanism is different they can't replicated it's too expensive to do that
Butt boy
@@nabilzouitini5054They can and they do.
And even a superclone costs only 1000$
Money…
I thought Rolexs policy was upon receiving a replica watch was to destroy it .
What an absorbing video. well done guys, so informative. So, the upshot is, don't buy a Rolex unless you buy it from the factory!
It always amazes me how much beauty and precision are added to the parts of *amzwatch* 's watch 99% of people will never see.
Right so where do we buy that from then ?
I just bought it so I could wear it.😜
Where did you buy?
@@donxman3365 just punch in super clone you’ll find one
@@donxman3365 I just remembered googling premium copy until something came up. That looked the very best that I wanted. I don’t recall the actual place.
Michael flexing with a meteorite on his arm😂🤝🔥🔥
The last watch i bought from AliExpress was the steeldive 6105. Aways looking to add to the collection, winning a watch is always good. 👍🏼⌚️
I really enjoyed that it was thoroughly entertaining and educational 😉
My son purchased a super Rolex copy and it was perfect. The giveaway was when the back cover was removed and the balance wheel is compared. There is a huge difference between them but the rest of the movement is the same.
That is very tempting. Good that I don´t know which store is selling the fake.
An interesting comparison of real vs fake, but I was disappointed that we didn’t see the actual movements side by side.
My goodness! I too thought that "Right" was the fake due to the lack of clarity of the "Rolex" wording.
Would have been incredibly interesting to see the movements! Have they literally mechanically cloned a Rolex?
How much for the replica Michael? You accept paypal?
i am stunned. I picked the wrong one.
I've recently began my obsession as a watch collector. And i must say- out of all the luxury brands I've been researching, for me the amzwatch's watches are the most intriguing.
Maybe they are both fake?😂
Right
Great fun video.
This is the most detailed comparison video ever seen .Thank. I will sure buy it from ad
Vs and clean factory...are very good at rolex replicas....
Immediatly I can see how the light shines off the crystal differntly on 1 than 2. I would think 1 is fake but we will see
Where to buy these copies?
Clearly the fake watch on the left has a lower quality bracelet which looks not so aligned, the green writing is also not in correct scale
