Henri (Pauli Toivonen) sum it quite well "really fast from the beginning" - this is Group B, WRC - some of the fastest, most powerful, and most sophisticated rally cars ever built and their time is commonly referred to as the golden era of rallying, eventually leading to its ban blamed mostly on their outrageous speed exacerbated by the lack of crowd control at events.
"In essence, they are the formula 1 cars of the mountains and forest roads..." this is what Group B is about- the unadulterated and sheer power that is unyielding but in the end - succumbed to the flaws that is of man and not the machine, without control comes responsibility. Michelle Mouton quipped "If I have some emotion..." is all indication that she's trained to not feel BUT to obey the call of the wild ... "of course, is the noise of the 'coche' (car)" the guttural feel that is in her and the sound of the fury of Group B resonating in her blood as it hums the musical 'mezzo soprano' the perfect sweet spot to awaken her rally calling.

Thanks for those very kind words, I try to capture what rally & motorsport in general meant to me growing up in the 80's and my choice of music that I felt capture the emotions, drama, excitement, thrill, disappointment and agony of rally motorsport at the time and hopefully convey this in a music video as opposed as a documentary which a lot in those fields has covered. I might do a modern WRC in the future and hopefully I can do justice to the younger audience.
