this is the first i ever got to install RGB fans and although this was informative, I wish I could've seen the installation process on the motherboard step by step. Cheers.
for everyone asking how to control the fans, you have to plug the fan controller into your cpu fan header to be able to control the speed of them in the bios
They might not look the best and I do wish they could drop to 500/600 rpm, but boy, the static pressure on these is nuts. There are many other fans I would pick over this depending on the case, but if your case has fine dust filters right up close on your intakes and then case mesh on top of that (like my Lian Li Dynamic XL) these fans are way better than others out there. But again, this is only if you need very high static pressure.
@@hussammarzouk3159 TBH I got rid of them. I wanted the best of all worlds and ended up with a random one that shocked me. The Deepcool CF 120 Plus, are the best 120s I have had IF you want the best all round use. They have great lighting, their air pressure and static pressure is better than almost all similar fans (more than lian li). Their speeds can be dropped down to 600rpm unlike Lian li fans. I would say they are fairly good sound wise. Not the quietest when they hit high speeds, but I would say in the top 5 for similar rpm fans. If you can, buy off Amazon and give them a go, and if you don't like, send them back :-) just make sure it's the CF Plus ones.

Love the fans bro. They are available here is Australia as well and they retail for about A$69 which is not too bad for those fans. I don't have them myself as I have the Thermaltake Pure Plus 120s and they seem to do a good job for me. Love the reviews that you do and I look forward to them. Keep up the great work bro.
I have 2 sets of these exact fans and was wondering if it is safe to daisy chain all 6 fans to one ARGB header on the motherboard? It would be plugged into a 3pin RGB header which supplies 5V. Awesome video btw!!

Its a bit bummer that the hub/controller that the Lian Li Case already have on the case does not control/change the colors on the fans, just the front strip. Another thing that i miss is to have White solid on all. (as you comment too).

I have this fan kit. I LOVE the fan effects the controller has, but it's impossible to use the controller convieniently. For those who have this and use the controller, where do you put it? Behind the motherboard tray? In the basement with the PS? If ONLY there was an option to make this wireless like I've seen with other fan kits. Oh and what about software control of RGB for this fan kit? Which ones work with it?
@إبراهيم المفلح yes you can use whatever motherboard software you have to set them all white. I don't think these fans have there own software so just have to use whatever motherboard you have. If possible I recommend the al120 unifans, fewer cables and they come with a hub
Hi noob question, how do you change the fan speed? I have 3 of these in the front that is running too fast. I also have the galahad aio on the top, fans are running normally.
You’ll need to plug the 4pin cable connected to the SATA into your MOBO (any pwn fan header port) to control your fan speed and set it to PWM in bios. I had it running at max when I first plugged it in too.
Do you need a fan hub for 9 of these if mobo only has 1 argb header? Or can you just connect multiple argb splitters to the mobo header and plug all 9 into that chain?

Mine did the same! Lian li replaced for me and since then one of my other started to flicker. Either bad luck or just bad qc. Is yours still flickering?

The fan header controls the fan speed. I have this fan kit and I can hear the fans speed up when computer is under load. Of course, it also depends on how your fan headers are set up

I connected the rgb wires together from 3 of these and the 2 on the galahad 240 aio which are identical fans and it started burning the wire coming directly from the motherboard header (yes its a5v header) anybody know what the deal is with that?

Holy what happen to your computer.... do you have a really cheap PSU? did you plug the ARGB cable into the fan header by accident? It needs a male to ARGB 3 pin cable, you can always use a ARGB hub or splitter.
@@Sunkan69 Nope 800RPM is minimum because they use shitty motors. PWM or Voltage mode doesnt matter. And 800RPM shouldnt be loud but actually with those it is sadly.

you can set it behind the gpu output slits; that's where all my cables go out for the LED strips.

As long as it’s less than 120LEDs per header. That might be specific to my motherboard but that’s the limit for me.

Send warranty they give u new fan.. i have 9 st120.. 1 fan start to flicker after a month and 1 after a year.. the rest still ok..

they come with splitters and as long as you don’t overload the headers you’ll be fine. you can use multiple headers too
