The thing we read and heard (Dutch cycling fans) about Rabobank was that it was a banker's toy. Besides, Dutch cycling was in dire straits back then. Winning the Gold Race was like the 'classics' straw Dutch riders were clinging to it. I can't imagine Boogerd was proud of the way he won his Amstel Gold. Would be interesting to hear Lance's view on that race; there were a lot of stories going around about the score that had to be settled back then.

Clip 17:30 - 100% agree with Lance here. Even mentioning his win statistics at the start of the show, with 5 wins, is not comparable with the top 6 riders in the world.

What does Armstrong know about current cycling, from Austin !! They only look at road racing.
Tom Pidcock is as versatile as MvdP, WvA and Pogey :
Tom Pidcock is the current olympic champion ánd World Champion and a former european champ on the Mountain Bike . He is a former worldchampion CX. He has won Strade Bianche (which Lance still has no idea is one of the most coveted trophies in the season ..) and now the Amstel. These are big trophies.
additional to that he is a junior time trial world champion (2017).
And Pidcock has won the legendary TdF ALPE D'HUEZ mountain stage !!!! On top of that he is one of the best mountain descenders of the peloton ...
at 24 that is A LOT more than Lance, Johan or George had won that age !
Even MvdP had only won 2 cycleX world titles and his legendary Amstel win at 24.
For a 24 year old Tom Pidcock has been pretty impressive.
Pogey won more, but he is the exception...

@@lws7394 With all due respect, why do you feel the need to dig in, to put it mildly, on the hosts of this podcast?l Tom Pidcock is an amazing athlete, yes he has won on merit last Sunday, however…. unfortunately for your hero he was born into an epic generation of riders, as a result his current palmares does and his future palmares most likely will look accordingly. Wikipedia is a bitch amigo:
      Pogi:
      @
      MVDP:
      @
      WVA:
      @
      Tom:
      @
      Remco:
      @
Yes, he’s 4-5 years younger than WVA and MVDP, but he’s only 1 year younger than Pogi, Remco is a year younger and there’s a shitload of talent around that might make his cycling life difficult in years to come.
Having said that, Tom deserves our utmost respect! But so do the hosts of this podcast! Life’s a biatch and the truth hurts especially for fanboys! No I’m not talking about opinions, we all know opinions are like assholes.. Facts are facts and if you can’t handle that.. Well, find yourself a safe space or go f*** yourself with a cactus for all I care! Up to you amigo! But pretty please refer from questioning the accomplishments of others!

Pidcock hasn't won much but he what he has won were big wins where he showed his talent, like that Alpe D'Huez stage. And he's pretty consistent, always there in the final of big races. He's just unlucky that the "big 6" are racing too, so winning is not easy.
