@@clos2132 Lactate threshold is where there's a "jump" in a person's blood lactate concentrations--so, it's not exactly dependent on 2, 3, or 4 (or 5) mmol... if you graph it, it's where a spike occurs in lactate. It'll be different from person to person (at least moderately).

Most riders back then was doing all kinds of drugs to enhance their performance. Even steven. And many of them are in the pro teams in diffrent positions today.
So i doubt the sport will be clean, ever.
Testmethods has improved, and new drugs is out on the market that hasnt been detected yet...
One way to get any result is to give lifeban for the entire team, not just the rider caught. From suits down to mechanics.
    Collectiv punishment, unfair? No.
One rider using drugs, he didnt get those from amazon or stumbled over them on the sidewalk. Lance got his from the teamdoctors, and the entire team knew about this. All riders was on the juice.
That culture inside proteams is not gone.

i could buy the "everyone's a cheater so not that bad" thing if lance didn't actively destroy the lives of honest people trying to correct the problem. And he was above and beyond what anyone else was doing.

Imagine how many people would watch cycling if my paltry 3.4w/kg were racing. The fact is, everyone wants to see fast riders flying all over the place, including down the mountains, but then they wanna cry and say "I could do the same thing if I had the same steroids."

You too can hire a dodgy doctor and get multiple tour de france wins erased from the record books. Come on guys this is pathetic. Plenty of great clean athletes out there to interview.
