i cant be the only one that rewatches this alaska/yukon series. This channel was the one thing that got me into overlanding/offroading right after getting my 2013 tacoma brand new. It is and will always be my favorite series of theirs.
They visited, I moved there!! Much better and seriously adventurous. Changed my life forever. Clay can’t say that;( Some people’s “passions” run deeper than others!
I really enjoyed it. No manufactured drama, no excessive acting for the camera, good videography, nice scenery. Nice to see wives participating in the adventure. I also appreciated that no one feels the need to have a potty mouth in order to be "tough" or "cool"...so far it's a video I could sit down and watch with my adventure-interested mom. I hope that continues in subsequent episodes. Nice work!
The General AT2 tire proved to be the perfect type of tire for this trip. We ran just over 9,000 miles on this trip. Much of it is highway or some sort of improved road. Mud tires would have been nice for those few times but overall this tire was more than adequate.
Wow. Just, wow. I would give anything in this world to be able to do what you group of friends were able to do. The vehicles, the freedom, the wilderness and the unknown. I have wanted to do something similar since I was a child. I am truly envious and absolutely thankful to be able to live your adventures through these short videos. Thank you all for this.
No sarcasm, but for me it's funny to see such preparation and equipment tune up. We go to Yukon every year with 2-3k $ vehicle, bad tires and leaking boat but it is always great adventure [many times being on the edge] and we always somehow manage it to come back. having such equipment for me would be like sleeping in hotel Hilton. haha :] good luck on your travel guys!
You, my friend, know how to adventure. Taking tons of gear seems like over preparation but I guess training is training and a lot of overlanders really just want to pack up and go quickly.
Watching this series for like the 10th time. Can't wait for the new series! Working to pay off student loans now so i can get my rig ready and do some overlanding of my own!!
I've never adventured more than day trips. Though I did take trips so far out that the roads were almost gone and only good nav skills got me there and back. Was up in Alaska, south east of Fairbanks. I drove out to old gold mine claims and abandoned cabins. Nothing like the out back of Alaska. Unfortunately, my trecking days are all but gone. Time marches on for us all. I will live again through you guys. Sounds a little sick but when you can't walks very far without braces, well, there it is. I gotta live with it. Love and piece guys. Love the fact that the ladies are into it as well. Makes the trip that much more special.
These videos are right up my alley...You're giving me Ideas of how Id like to outfit my FJ Cruiser someday when I can afford it. Seriously great stuff guys I cant wait to see the next episode.
Did extensive surveying in the Hanksville , Moab area late 70's for father in laws mining it's a wonderful area I had a GMC Blazer up fitted with skid plates, suspension everything you could imagine. back then there were no cells, gps or any of the modern tools we use today. Spent many nites in factory butte canyons and the Moab dwellings. Enjoy your travel videos. Currently preparing for a sailboat trip around the world several years out from that. Thanks for sharing your trip.
I love your channel!! Your expeditions are my favorite. I was getting all excited to try some overland adventuring myself until last month I was diagnosed with cancer, so my adventuring has been modified. So I have to use your adventures as mine, until I get better. Please keep the videos coming.:D
david coan So it's not longer an adventure because the gear was used somewhere else first? I once used a toilet in Irapuato Mexico that was definitely used by others, yet it was an adventure in sights and smells to last a lifetime to me. It's not about the toilet, its about how and where you use it that you remember.
guys I know y'all are getting some good comments and bad but you guys have it going on. I'm on ep. 3 and this is amazing. I get that you guys are sponsored for all this and others don't get that. I see what's really going on though and I hope to be on my own adventure one day. this is what the outdoors is all about. keep it up and live life to the fullest.
While it is said the destination is the purpose, the adventure is getting there. And it's not suffering though mishaps. But its struggle to make it a memory. I do indeed enjoy your productions.
Inspirational film, production quality is discovery channel nat geo stuff. Vehicle choices are spot on, you guys have access to amazing equipment. Time to kit up my 100 series.
This is the series that made me a devout follower of your adventures. I'm hoping to get into another rig eventually and go see all the things I never have yet...your videos are absolutely inspirational to go out and explore. Thank you for sharing all this with us
Please hurry and get the other episodes up! These are great! Sort of the new Warren Miller moves, but just dirtier! Nice work! Have fun and rubber side down at least on 2 wheels!
My husband and I just returned from overland touring from Vancouver British Columbia to Anchorage Alaska and back... It was my first time and the adventure of a lifetime!... We managed in a stock 4Runner that only had a snorkel as a physical mod, a roof top tent and our fridge, cook top and supplies and tools, and a 2 year old tablet for navigation.. No fancy high tech stuff except our battery set up.. Not knocking your setup, but it seems overkill lol.. Great show though i'm definitely subscribing
I drove L.A. to Alaska 7 times, mostly before they paved the Alcan. Also drove the Cassiar. You can drive ANYTHING up there providing that it is in reasonable shape. You can even drive the Dalton to Prudhoe Bay. It's no particular challenge. If you choose to off-road, it's no different than Montana or Colorado. If you just want transportation and easy dirt roads, the Subaru is the best. If you want to haul gear, you're better off with independent front suspension on a heavier vehicle. Keep the length down and carry a winch that you can place front or back,, or on a tree.
Man i remember learning all this stuff with the exception of such extensive documentation and production and that is a huge exception but learning this stuff all my childhood then putting it to practice in places like Ramadi and Kunar province. But I guess we all learn and grow up our own ways and thats what its all about. Awesome stuff guys!
As I’m watching this video, eating my Chinese food, wishing I was able to do these things and living vicariously through this series. I open my fortune cookie to read “you will travel far and wide, both for pleasure and business”
A top video there, I enjoyed the back story and lead up to the trip. Very relatable with the starting off as a rookie learning as you go along as everyone started off in a similar way / not knowing much 👍
Great video! Can't wait for the next episode. Loved the Pryor Mountains episode in Season 1. Amazing, magical, and underestimated place. Keep up the good work.
this video is absolutely awesome. I've always wanted to get into overlanding and this is so informative and explains a lot for me! your filming is awesome guys great job! these videos are fueling my spring fever fire for adventure! lol
This is a fantastic series, a real eye opener for me. Here in Western Australia we have the total opposite landscape. It would be awesome to tour / overland with snow covered mountains as a backdrop.
This is my dream- I want to overland large portions of the west- the pacific coast, the sierras, the ruby mountains, rockies, etc. and I want to blog about it. I know building sponsors isn't easy, but after enough work on my truck, enough events and blogs, I hope to be able t o get something going.
Amazing story, amazing photography, I have noticed that most expedition stories have all Toyotas as the preferred vehicles. hmmm......... good work ppl!!
i found like a treasure of RUclips ... !! always wanted to do these stuff, u guess are above awesomeness and brilliant ... !! love you all, !! big fan from now onn ...

I have watched these series so many times! Love all!!
More so than the new Alaskan series?
Honestly the early stuff was the best. Simple. Real.
Much better than what they got out now.
I've never been so moved by a television show. I could not stop watching. Thank you so much for the sharing your incredible journey.
They visited, I moved there!! Much better and seriously adventurous. Changed my life forever. Clay can’t say that;( Some people’s “passions” run deeper than others!
This is what you call life, outdoors adventure.
2023 STILL AWESOME TO WATCH!!🤙
I really enjoyed it. No manufactured drama, no excessive acting for the camera, good videography, nice scenery. Nice to see wives participating in the adventure. I also appreciated that no one feels the need to have a potty mouth in order to be "tough" or "cool"...so far it's a video I could sit down and watch with my adventure-interested mom. I couldn't agree more with you Robert!
I'll second that. Gives an air of intelligence that is lacking in the 6th grade potty mouth types.
My god. This is EXACTLY the kind of show I've been looking for. I bet these guys get a good feeling from outdoor adventures like I do.
This is the format and content I really enjoy. I go back and binge watch the original few adventures from time to time. Today is one of those days.
The General AT2 tire proved to be the perfect type of tire for this trip. We ran just over 9,000 miles on this trip. Much of it is highway or some sort of improved road. Mud tires would have been nice for those few times but overall this tire was more than adequate.

Still love the oldies.

I love these videos. they take me away from my everyday life. mesmerizing & fun. thank you for documentation of your journey
I need to find buddies like this
These videos are right up my alley...You're giving me Ideas of how Id like to outfit my FJ Cruiser someday when I can afford it. Seriously great stuff guys I cant wait to see the next episode.
My Jeep friends are into the extreme rock climbing and stuff like that. I am more into this...overlanding. I crave it. Awesome vid.

My second time I am watching this whole series. Great adventure. Gonna live it again ;)
Amazing! This is my dream to be an OVERLANDER!!
I love your channel!! Your expeditions are my favorite. I was getting all excited to try some overland adventuring myself until last month I was diagnosed with cancer, so my adventuring has been modified. So I have to use your adventures as mine, until I get better. Please keep the videos coming.:D
So impressed with the spirit of adventure and fearless crew!
That's a pretty sweet Tacoma build! Watching this definitely gives me more ideas on what to add to mine!!!
This came up in recommended videos when was watching a video about the Dalton highway. I guess I am hooked. That Tacoma is awesome!
love to see even in America you guys are using Australian products.
You guys have the most extensively proven products, and then you use it in the outback, so yeah, fairly safe bet it's the stuff to get.
david coan David, those are sony's - A-Mount cameras(formerly Minolta).

rogue109 ROFLMAO!!!!!
rogue109 I was just trying to be friendly. Also, you lead an adventurous life, I find that commendable.
This is like the most bad ass thing I've watched in a long time , I wanna try it .
This is solid. Love that you brought your wives. I need to build up my Isuzu Rodeo after watching this!
Nice how there's no yelling or stupid fake drama.

Faaaaaantastic . Great team work.
Love it guys. Congratulations, and I look forward to seeing the rest.
