Hi Phyllis! I tried making your orange rebirth jello to surprise my wife. I used chunk pineapple though and it turned out real good. I kept calling it rebirth, which allowed me to have more. Hahaha. Hey, I'm a tough marine, 20 year service and retired now, and YOU have me cooking!
I love Jello, I make it frequently, almost always with fruit or something in it (never plain). When I have friends over for dinner, I almost always service individual Jello salads which have been molded in retro (1950s) aluminum molds. It's not only tasty to eat but fun to serve -- bringing back lots of childhood memories for all the guests. It's also nice to decorate the gelatine molds with bits of fruit or veggies around the perimeter of the mold on the chilled salad plate. And sometimes a dollop of mayo on top. Jello is (in my opinion) extremely "Retro", you can do lots with it, and yes, by all means let us keep it alive. Thanks EVER so much for your fun videos Phyllis, they are MUCH appreciated!
My grandma made strawberry Jello and add chopped apples and slices of bananas. It was so good and I always think of her when I see Jello. Thanks for sharing!
I love a good jello salad. We would make one with blackberry jello, blueberry pie filling and crushed pineapple with a cream cheese based topping. It's the bomb. Your recipe looks amazing!!cannot wait to try.
Back in the 70's my mom was in the hospital for awhile and I would take the city bus to go visit her after school everyday. I always ate her jello off her dinner tray. She said she didn't want it because it reminded her of hospital food. I told her she was in the hospital and she said, oh yeah don't remind me. Hahahaha, haven't thought of that in years. 😀😃😃
Have never had anything like this but it sounds good and will try it some time. As a kid, Jello was my Mom's go-to dessert as it was inexpensive yet satisfying, but now don't see or hear about it much. A former co-worker's daughter was excited when she learned you could make Jello, not just have to buy pre-made cups from the store.
Oh my, that is so cute & kind of sad too. We've become so dependent on everything we don't even make the simplest things anymore. When my kids were little I took them & my nephews to the apple orchard. When we got home I made apple pie. My nephews were so excited when they got home. They told my sister "mama did you know Aunt Barb can make apple pie from real apples?" 😀😀
My kids and I make "homemade jello" out of Kool Aid ... Knox gelatine and sugar. Put everything and 1/2 the water in a microwave bowl. Heat till melted (30 secs or so) add the rest of the water cold. Pour in molds of choice. How much of the other ingredients are to taste. We use 1pk kool aid (any flavor works) 1 cup sugar (seems like alot but its not) and 4 pks of unflavored gelatin. Add more if you like firmer jello ....less if you dont. Works great with sugar subsitutes also.
That is so cool! What a great thing to share with your kids. My son would have gone nuts over this when he was younger. He used to love making Kool Aid pies - you just mix a packet of Kool Aid, a can of sweetened condensed milk and a tub of Cool Whip together and pour into a graham cracker crust and put it in the fridge (or freezer if you want more of an ice cream consistency) for an hour or two.
Miss Phyllis...You always seem to make me smile, & I appreciate your videos so very much! A day without you & Mr. Bucky is like a day without sunshine... : )
Here in Brazil a very popular Jello dessert is simply made with strawberry jello whipped with some pouring cream and sugar or condensed milk. It makes a aerated, pinkish flavorful dessert!
Hi Miss Phyllis,I live in the UK and this brings back memories. When I was a kid my mum used to make raspberry jelly, and pour some tinned raspberries and evaporated milk over, yum.Of course it will be frowned on because of the sugar content but we burned off the calories in those days! Keep jelly/jello alive!!!!
I agree on the jello front. I was so happy to see that jello is the favorite treat for one of my younger granddaughters (6). I am new to your channel- less than 1 month . I enjoy the videos very much and find your voice and expressions very soothing. Thank you for sharing your time, recipes, and wonderful advice and opinions with us. Please give my regards to Mr Bucky. I will look forward to your videos and trying the recipes with my husband. God bless you both with good health and peacefulness during our shared stage of life.
I gota make some of that.. I’ma lovin the jello I promise I’ll keep it alive for y’all in Australia 🇦🇺 🙏🏽💖💗💜 Thank~you for all you’re wonderful videos Miss Phyllis ~ I know you & Mr Bucky can see this up there ☺️
This looks wonderful. I love yall because you are just real down to earth people and you love the Lord like we do. God bless. Please pray for South Texas.
ive been making jello with cool whip in it, this week i added fruit cocktail, and boy oh boy is it a nice treat! i used strawberry banana jello the last few times, but the next one i would like to try the berry blue. that looks good!
Phyllis, thank you so much for sharing your wonderful recipes! You are such a blessing to me & so many others! I really enjoy Mr Bucky's Bible study channel as well! I hope he will add more on his channel! You both have a great God given talent to help others! Thank you both so much💖
Miss Philly, your creation of keeping jello a-live are easy and looks delicious! And I agree with you about using the removable bottom blender! How's about a strawberry and kiwi combination of jello next?
I'm so glad I found your channel Phyllis. You remind me so much of my mother-in-law. I miss her so much. I love to watch you make things you go at a slower pace and not try to hurry through anything. You also seem like you're such a happy person and I love how you call your husband mr. Bucky
I Love you Ms. Phyllis and Mr. Bucky. You are Both in Heaven. RIP I know you are together Now. We All Miss you. Thank God your Great Son keeps your Channel Going. Always Great recipes!
Dear Phyllis! I have been a fan and subscriber of yours for quite awhile now and I love LOVE your recipes and your demeanor! Brings back childhood memories of home-cookin' at my mom and grandma's house. Thank you for taking the time to share with the world and bringing back jello like no store-bought kind could ever do. I've made many of your recipes and my family has enjoyed them, too. Bless you!
Hey Phyllis! I'm from Georgia and it is a warm feeling to watch you cook. It's like the way my mother and grandma use to cook. Love it and keep it up! Julie
Love the recipes you have shared. Have tried a lot of them and there wonderful. Thank you so much for taking the time and sharing these recipes with all of us.
Hello Phyllis! I tried your recipe with a few changes that I would like to share. I used sugar free jello with light coconut milk. I can't have any fruit or sugar so I omitted those. Because it is milky I did not have to use my blender and just stirred it in. It worked out great. Thanks for giving me the inspiration.
I made this for my family last night. I couldn't get blueberries so I used a frozen mixed berry. This turned out fantastic! Everyone loved it. Great balance of sweet and tart. It is the perfect light and cool desert for the Summer. Thanks for sharing. Love your easy recipes. Everything I have tried is good!
I’m in! Bought some Raspberry Jello yesterday. Love it with crushed pineapple and finely diced celery. My grandmother made jello salads in the 1960’s and no one has made them since. 🍋🍊🍓🍒🍑🥕
Good morning Miss Phyllis, I totally agree "let's keep JELLO alive". I have a JELLO recipe book that I sent away for in the mid 1970's. I used to make a lot of recipes when the boys were growing up. We ALWAYS had something for dessert. Thanks for cheering JELLO on...I think I'll get my old JELLO book out and make some of the old desserts we use to have and try the ones you have been showing. YUMMM Thanks Phyllis!! ~ Joanna ♡
I adore the jello recipes, Phyllis. I just made your '50s lime jello dessert the other night and it was delicious! Thanks for another recipe to try. Hope you and Mr. Bucky enjoyed the horror movie! 😊
Hi Phyllis, I made the Blueberry Jello , but I couldn't make the way you did because I can't use Jello. I cook for my Mom, who has a kidney ailment and I can't use Jello because it has too much salt. So I used gelatin, frozen blueberrys, cream cheese and the honey crisp apple. It was delicious. Very refreshing and so good. You have solved what to give her for joint problems for me with no sodium. I did make all of your Jello recipes but ,without Jello I forgot to tell that, except for the peach, she can't have peaches. But I will try it myself.
I can't wait to try this Jello recipe. Never thought of using frozen berries in Jello before. I made the Orange dream Jello that you put the video out on. Lived it. You're so right. Jello is a perfect nighttime dessert. Thank you for sharing.
I am putting together the orange pineapple one from last week, tomorrow. I only have my Ninja, and I think that comes apart easily. I also have some silicone molds that I'm going to put it in. The blueberry looks delicious!! Have a great weekend to you and Mr. Bucky, Mrs. Phyllis. 😊🕊🌈❤️
Loving these...there's always room for Jello! I grew up loving Jello, but it's been years since I've had any. I'll try these for sure. Thank you Ms. Phyllis, you are the absolute best! Hugs to Mr. Bucky and the pups.♡
I put that packet I had of lime jello to use and made the lime cream cheese dessert - husband loved it! My Granny always made orange jello with canned fruit cocktail and called it “congealed salad” and it was always a favorite of mine. I made it a week or so ago and my kids and husband loved it too. I can’t wait to try this recipe, thanks for sharing and I love your channel 😊
Yes! I agree. We started making jello last year for dessert and will continue! Husband and I grew up on it. The children think it's fun, taste good and we can afford it!! I need to start putting carrots in.. God bless Mrs. O
I keep boxes of Jello on hand, all year long. Jello is great if you are sick, with a cold or sore throat...mixed with fruit it's easy to swallow and tastes good.....oh my, I love your Jello videos, Phyllis...keep them coming
Hey Miss Phyllis this is your Tennessee friend again. I won't always comment but I will always watch your videos. I love you and Mr. Bucky. My daughter-in-law is learning how to cook she is a young woman and I think this recipe will be great for her. God bless you and Mr. Bucky.
Hi Phyllis, Three days ago I was casually looking for jello cream cheese recipes and your channel popped up at random; I laughed out loud when I read the title "Let's Keep Jello alive." By the end of the video I found myself thinking "I absolutely love this woman's style." It is now Sunday evening and I have managed to watch at least 10 of your videos. I love the floral mural you painted in the bathroom. From cooking to sewing to creative painting to fixing your RV...is there anything you can't do?! You and Mr. Bucky are a great couple. Keep posting videos. You have me as a fan for life. Best wishes from NYC.
Good Morning Ms.Phyliss! Anudder gud'un... I've enjoyed JELLO all my life..of course, plain, topped off or should I say buried under a mountain of whipped cream...lol...then I loved when my mom made her fresh strawberry pie cause she jelled the strawberry filling with strawberry flavored JELLO...then she would always make a JELLO poke cake when we went to the parks for picnics ..boy was that good! Then of course, as a college student, who didn't *LOVE* ...JELLO SHOTS!!! Yes, JELLO...The perfect food!
The dessert looks good but the cutest most hilarious thing was at the end when you could hear the horror movie playing in the background that Mr. Bucky was watching. ❤️❤️❤️ this couple!!!!
This is a delicious idea. I've been on a jello with cream cheese kick lately, myself. Adding cream cheese and fruit takes it to another level for sure. Very cool to do the blueberry!
I love these jello recipes ! I just went this morning and bought 4 more boxes of jello and 4 more cream cheese. Thank you soooo much. I am going to try just a plain lemon and cream cheese today. I am hoping it turns out like the lime one on a bed of lettuce like you did a ways back. Have a great week end Miss Phyllis!
I keep watching and am so glad I'm not alone in my love of jello :) No one else in family here is interested lol. Today is the orange and cream cheese dessert. I'll have to put the blue one on a list with frozen blueberries. Haven't had. I did use quite a bit, mixed with yogurt in blender and put over natural cereal as a lunch. Just got tired ...ya, know....same ,same...then enough lol.
I love your videos so much! Your voice is so soothing and comforting. Thank you for your time and effort making and sharing these videos. This jello dish looks fantastic! I like how you blended the berries so you see a natural blueberry color instead of “berry blue” color.
HI Phyllis, I just discovered your channel! I love your homey recipes, love your deep soothing voice, and your simple camera work. You've sparked my jello creativity in the kitchen!
I'm a jelly "jello" have always loved it. My nana used to make me flummery . It's what every jello flavour you love , I prefer raspberry. Set it three quarters of the way add a whole can of evaporated milk whisk with a ha d mixer until it's frothy and then fridge it until completely set. Omg delish xox
(HUG) Mrs. Phyliss Made your recipe from another video with orange jello, cream cheese, and canned mandarin oranges, WOW It was so good - I loved it, thanks for all your recipe's - God has truly blessed you with cooking delicious meals, and they are also beautiful to look at -praise the holy Spirit for your gift of cooking.
Phyllis I love you ❣You are a gift from god ❣Thank you for all you share with us❣Have you ever made chicken fried steak I couldn't find it on your list of things you have made? My grandma was just like you she could do just about anything God rest her soul.
Don't think I've made a video of chicken fried steak. We've had chicken fried steak at lots of restaurants in Texas especially West Texas, always delicious. I think they have better beef in Texas than we do here in South Carolina.
Phyllis, I want to thank you for your easy to follow cooking instructions. I have 11 year old twin grandchildren that love to cook with you. Aaron and Abby said HELLO to you and your blueberry JELLO and cream cheese desert. It will be their next cooking adventurer.
Hi Phyllis, That looks good! And I just happen to have all the ingredients. I'll be making that for my grand daughter She's 3 and already loves Jello. It was introduced to her on every Wednesday visit with her great grandmother :) she's 90. So Jello no worries, Jello is alive!
I am so excited to see another Jell-O recipe. I made the orange one for the family and they loved it. So now I am going to surprise them with the blueberry. Also, all last week I served a different recipe of yours for dinner every night. Rave reviews all around. God bless you.
Oh Phyllis this looks amazing!!!! I'm so glad someone is back to Jello!!! It has been neglected for to long! I love jello and definitely will be trying this one. I can't wait to see what you come up with next!
Thank you Miss Phyllis for the great idea of Jell-O desserts. You and I are the same age and I remember as a kid Jello was part of all desserts or snacks. I can't wait to do the blueberry with apples dessert. We have tried a few of the other ones you suggested and they were great. I just came from my physical and the doctor says I'm pre-diabetic so they'll be no sugar for me. They will be made with sugar free Jell-O
You are as cute as a bug!! Those apples give us something to chew on. And lets keep jello alive made me smile. Love your soft spoken accent too.
Hi Phyllis! I tried making your orange rebirth jello to surprise my wife. I used chunk pineapple though and it turned out real good. I kept calling it rebirth, which allowed me to have more. Hahaha. Hey, I'm a tough marine, 20 year service and retired now, and YOU have me cooking!
Love to hear about men cooking and a retired Marine no less, thank you for the comment and your service to our country.
James W. Smith That's awesome! Thanks for your service 🙏🏼
Thank you Phyllis! Idk about skillets and stoves and all that... but the jello and blender I can do!
Thank you for your service. God bless, in Jesus name!
Thank you guys. I'm nobody special. The heroes are the ones who didn't come back. Pray for our active men and their families.

Such an awesome cool desert, especially during these dog days of Summer here in the South

K Sprowl oh my gosh, that's a cute story about the daughter. Made me laugh 😄
My momma would always make me jello when I was sick. It reminds me of my mother.

Here in Brazil a very popular Jello dessert is simply made with strawberry jello whipped with some pouring cream and sugar or condensed milk. It makes a aerated, pinkish flavorful dessert!
These jello desserts with the cream cheese are similar to Italian panna cottas, which use cream instead. So they are really a fancy gourmet dessert :)

Thanks to you and your previous Jello videos I am on a big Jello kick! I stocked up on 20+ boxes last week! I love it!
This was a delicious Jello dessert. It was much fluffier and lighter than I expected. It was great, thanks for the recipe Phyllis.
This makes me hungry! I have an old Jell-O cookbook. I need to pull it out and try some recipes! Thanks, Phyllis!
My husband would love this! He loves anything with blueberries in it😀😀😋😋#keepjelloalive

New subscriber. Love good southern cooking and vintage recipes. Thank you for sharing yours.

One of my favorite jello desserts was cherry or raspberry jello with applesauce. Sooooo good.
This is a delicious idea. I've been on a jello with cream cheese kick lately, myself. Adding cream cheese and fruit takes it to another level for sure. Very cool to do the blueberry!
Nice desert. Thanks Phyllis for this idea.
Can't wait to try this recipe. A great summer treat!! Love you and Mr. Bucky.
YES to Jello!!! Looking forward to a strawberry video... :D Yes, I'm southern (Florida) and love love love strawberries!!
Ms. Phyllis, I love your creativity! It looks amazing! I will try this this weekend. Thanks for your videos.
Wow..Phyllis y'all eat soooo good!! And actually jello is very healthy for you too.
LOVE new ideas. Never tried anything like this one.
Phyllis, I want to thank you for your easy to follow cooking instructions. I have 11 year old twin grandchildren that love to cook with you. Aaron and Abby said HELLO to you and your blueberry JELLO and cream cheese desert. It will be their next cooking adventurer.
Tell Aaron and Abby hello for me and Mr. Bucky, I know they'll love the blueberry jello and cream cheese dessert.
You and Bucky are wonderful people and man, does he have it made! Is there anything u can't do?? He is such a sweetie.
That looks absolutely amazing Phyllis !!! I'm trying this out very soon 💗💗💗
Hi Phyllis,
That looks good! And I just happen to have all the ingredients. I'll be making that for my grand daughter
She's 3 and already loves Jello. It was introduced to her on every Wednesday visit with her great grandmother :) she's 90.
So Jello no worries, Jello is alive!
Your jello recipes are inspiring! I love plain jello, but I really want to try these.
I'm in Florida and is hot here so desserts like these are perfect here! Thanks for sharing.
I am so excited to see another Jell-O recipe. I made the orange one for the family and they loved it. So now I am going to surprise them with the blueberry. Also, all last week I served a different recipe of yours for dinner every night. Rave reviews all around. God bless you.
Hi Mrs. Phyllis, This jello recipe sounds delicious! I plan to make it soon. God bless you and your family.
I love Jello. It will keep living in my home for sure and wow this recipe is awesome.
I am all for keeping jelly alive. Long live jelly.... as we call it in Australia
