11:29 LIFESAVER. I couldn't figure out why my macbook wasn't recognizing the AtomX Cast as a webcam. Google searching, internet surfing, all didn't help. What a champion for including that detail for us noobs. Thank you!
Do those HDMI inputs & output support 4k @60? I can't find that mentioned on the product page. Been looking into the ATEM Mini ISO line (Pro, Extreme) - and it lists 1080p maximum... that's crazy disappointing, for over $1000 :| For example, CamLink 4k supports 4k@60 in and out. I'm not sure why they don't also make a hub from like 4 camlink 4k's, even something simple to start with... 4 buttons to switch between the sources that you want to reach the output. Anyway, just rambling here, can't believe that a company wold sell something like the ATEM Mini Extreme ISO for over $1.200, but not support 4k@60 :| Are we still in the '90s?
This would be a home run if it could save the final mix to the Ninja V SSD in 4K. I'm happy with the idea of streaming in 1080, but I'd love to have the final mix in 4K.
Is it possible to just record ALL 4 CAMERAS SEPARATELY directly to one caddy? Or do I have to edit on the fly? Will there be 4 individual WAV. files? Thanks
Hey. When using the Atomos AtomX CAST with a compatible Atomos recorder (like the Ninja V), you cannot record all four camera inputs separately to a single SSD caddy. The AtomX CAST, when paired with the Ninja V, functions primarily as a switcher and monitor. I hope this helps!
I know this sounds kinda obvious, but I would have liked to see where everything was plugged in. I haven’t used mine since Covid but I have a funeral that someone wants to stream and I can’t get my unit to work.
I understand how important it is to see the setup! I recommend checking the user manual for a visual guide or tutorial on your specific unit. If you have any specific issues, feel free to share, and I’d be happy to help troubleshoot.
Hey man I have the atomx running and whenever I use it for streaming it always has a very pixelated view when someone does sudden movement. This never occurred when I had my black magic decimator connected any tips or settings that you have that can help?
Great review. Question, if you have a lower thirds but don't know which camera feed will be "live" when you need to launch it, do you need to "place it" in each of the 4 scenes?
As far as I understand it, the scenes are independent from the things like the lower thirds. So you can switch the graphics on or off of any of the scenes.
Hi Felipe. If you are looking for just a decent monitor, with no need for external recording from camera, then I would say go for the Shinobi 7. It offers a bigger display with increased brightness to your preview, which can be really useful in broad daylight conditions. However, the Ninja V or Ninja V+ still makes for a fantastic monitor and leaves the option open to you for if ever you did require external recording of a kind. Both are great, but if you know you have no need for the recording feature, then I would say go for the bigger monitor. Thanks for watching! - Shawn
I’m new to your site I’m a video who has the Atomos Ninja CastX looking to use my Ninja 5 cast X to record in 4 K and switch between 3 to 4 cameras. To have lower graphics thirds come into your production it’s great you have the funds to buy a addition Ninja 5 to plug into a another Ninja 5 and a graphic tablet I just want a work flow on us in the Ninja 5 as I stated earlier in this communication?
Fantastic overview, thanks Shawn! 🔥🙌🏼

If there’s multiple cameras plugged in, will this record each camera view separately

Would you reccomend the shinobi 7 or ninja v as a monitor for sony a7siii cameras?

Can you use atomx cast connected on the atomos Zato to stream without a PC?
Which microphone are you using?
This is part of the Rode range - now you'd be looking at a newer model I would think
If my camera source is 4k will this store in 4k?

Привет. Как удалить (заменить) уже загруженный в Cast PNG ?
Hey Alex! Not too sure sure but there are a few tutorials on YT.
@@WexPhotoVideo Проблему решил перепрошивкой 10.92.01, 10.84.00 - замена PNG была не доступна. Нигде в руководствах про это нет(
