I’m pretty sure I’ve seen I Still Know What You Did Last Summer more than the first movie 😂 (not to mentioned, Idle Hands was such a gem, totally agree... the microwave scene lmao)
The people under the stairs is one of my all time favourite films and yes please do a 80s video I love 80s horror movies I know that alot of it is cheese but I love a good cheesy horror :)
Such a great list, Emma. There are some gems in there that I have never heard of - and I'm sure happy to see some love for I still know what you did last summer 😃👍 My top 10 90s Horror are: Candyman, Scream, I know what you did last summer, Urban legends, The craft, Halloween 6, Halloween H20, Wishmaster, Bride of Chucky, The Faculty. My guilty pleasure movie would be the first Leprechaun film 😁
There's just something about movies in the 90s that just says "home" to me, mainly because I was living at home during the 90s in my teens :) These movies have a certain look and feel to them that's just so nostalgic for me. Now to go search up 90s movies on Netflix!
The craft is literally a mood. My friends and me watch it every year in Halloween. The list was really spot on with my kind of taste in movies, so I added a few to watchlist lol Emma! Stop making my watchlist bigger than it already is haha And I say that you go for the 80's list. These are really entertaining to watch.
Blair Witch is in the conversation for best horror movie of all time. Other than being so well done, it captured a moment that can never be repeated: people did not know if it was real or not. Incredible timing for that campaign, which played it as if it was real. In 1999 the internet definitely did not have all the answers, it had very few in fact. We depended on magazines and TV. Imagine that. Even I questioned its authenticity initially. But I think my second favorite horror movie from that decade came from the same year, Japanese horror film Audition. I think the horror/metaphors in the movie suggest her childhood trauma, what's happening in her mind as the relationship plays out. The final scene is her coup de grace and is definitely real, no metaphors. Loved it.
Great list of 90's films, Emma. I certainly agree with most of the choices (still a couple there I have not seen). If you do get to an 80's horror list, I would love to hear it. All my high school and college years rolled into that decade.😎 A couple of additions I would suggest would be Anaconda (1997), Scream 2 (1997), Vampires (1998) and my favorite underrated gem (or guilty pleasure) Lake Placid (1999).

I saw Exorcist 3 for the first time last year and it was GREAT! The movie really stands alone, has great acting, great cinematography, mood. Its a classic.
Two of my favorite horror films ever came out in the 90's. Nightbreed and Event Horizon. Even though they didn't make the list, they're definitely worth a watch.
Nightbreed is a cult classic I think now, I see it as that anyways. Loved it then and now. Event Horizon was AWESOME and a classic in my family watching it over and over.

I just saw "I Know What You Did Last Summer" for the first time last year, after reading the novel which it's based on. It's a strange situation where both the novel and film are actually quite good, but for different reasons. I even went ahead and watched "I Still Know...," which was not GREAT, but was a very fun watch. I haven't watched "I"ll Always Know..." yet, amidst suggestion from other horror fans.
Okay, I'm gonna have to stop and say thank you for giving I Still Know What You Did Last Summer some love. Yes, it's cheesy. No, it doesn't make logical sense. Yes, it's bad... But it's also so so so good. I have to give it credit. The 90s were not a particularly brutal time for horror slashers. The late 90s teen horror craze, while spear-headed by Scream, which IS a very gory and graphic film, were not particularly gory. I Still Know, however, was actually fairly graphic and violent, which I thought was a very cool and surprising choice. Also, it has a great late 90s soundtrack that started my childhood obsession with Bijou Phillips.
I liked your 90's list Emma. Great job. I loved Scream, The Faculty, I know what you did last summer, The Craft, and if you can believe it I do love I still know what you did last summer has well, and loved idle hands Devon Sawa is one of my favorite actors. Emma , At the start of your video I really wondering what horror films you had put on your Best of List. You absolutely did not disappoint ! I was having trouble recalling many of the films discussed. I made notes with a pencil. Oh my goodness ! One of the best "Misery" with James Cann and Kathy Bates.. so good. One of the Best films ever made? Yep its on your favourite's list ! "The Silence of the Lambs" with Sir Philip Anthony Hopkins and Jodie Foster important film for horror fans and for Academy Award best picture film history. Goodness gracious your hidden gems are out of control with awesomeness . You are the best at covering the horror genre . Thank you for expanding my mind and film repertoire. Looking forward to see what you come up with for the 1980's ! Thanks a million.
1990: Misery 1991: The Silence Of The Lambs 1992: Army Of Darkness 1993: The Nightmare Before Christmas 1994: Wes Craven's New Nightmare 1995: Se7en 1996: Scream 1997: Scream 2 1998: Ringu 1999: The Sixth Sense
one of my favs from the 90s is Disturbing Behaviour (1998) its technically a horror/sci fi but i just dont hear people talk about it enough. it has a great cast and everything about it is so deliciously 90s!
I would love an 80s list and you should definitely watch the Exorcist lll! I saw it for the first time a couple of years ago and I loved it, almost as much as the first!
My List: 1990: Misery, Bride of Re-Animator, The Exorcist III, Child's Play 2 1991: The Silence of the Lambs, The People Under the Stairs 1992: Army of Darkness, Dead Alive, Candyman, Bram Stoker's Dracula 1993: Cronos 1994: Interview with a Vampire, Wes Craven's New Nightmare, Brainscan 1995: Tales from the Hood, Ice Cream Man 1996: Scream, The Frighteners, From Dusk Till Dawn, The Dentist 1997: I Know What You Did Last Summer, Wishmaster, Scream 2 1998: Blade, Halloween H20, Urban Legend, I Still Know What You Did Last Summer 1999: The Sixth Sence, Sleepy Hollow, The Blair Witch Project, Idle Hands
Thank you! Great recommendations, I added some of them to my watchlist. I would like to add to your list the Spanish film “The Day of the Beast” (1995) and the Japanese film “Audition” (1999).
I was in my teens in that decade. Interview With The Vampire is very meaningful to me because it was the first ever horror movie I watched in a movie theater!!! I turned 18 earlier that year and I loved it
Good list. I'd definitely add The Exorcist III, as I think its one of the best horror films of all time, and IMO, better than the original. I'd also add a japanese movie, the hypnotist, its pretty original and feels different. Mimic, candyman are other possibles entries, but Id say the best thing the 90s produced in terms of horror, wasnt a movie but a Tv series. *Lars von Trier The kingdom*
I hope you have a 70s list…will be looking…so many started then! 80s and 90s are my faves though, but some great cult classics in 70s. Oh, and no Jacob’s Ladder?????????
Lol " Dellamorte Dellamore" That was great and it is a great underrated movie, My Top 5 90s horrors are 5. Wes Craven's New Nightmare 4. Scream 3. Candyman 2. The People Under The Stairs 1. The Blair Witch Project
The Exorcist III is the best of the 90s as far as creepy/scary for me, I vote yet if you haven’t already. I haven’t searched for it yet. Especially the fact Jeffery Dahmer would watch it before and during his kills up here by Milwaukee in the 90s.
Wait, Bram Stoker's Dracula is underrated? It's one of my all time favorite movies period.💖 P.S. I LOVE LOVE LOVE, I Still Know What You Did Last Summer!!
The People Under the Stairs has a great Twin Peaks angle to it, helps to have the two main antagonists going between both. Silence of the Lambs is the best movie made period. :) I love the 90s Dracula as well. I rewatch these a lot.
AHHHHH!!! I Still Know is such a fun ass movie!!!!!! I honestly have seen it wayyyyy more than the original. Brandy falls through at least 7 plate glass windows... and Jack Black wut... I’m SO HAPPY you mentioned it!!

Don't forget The Shining (1980) and A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984).

Scream, The Craft, Ginger Snaps, Jennifer’s Body. Now thats a fantastic movie marathon.
hell yeah
Teeth should go on this list
billybobtexas Would you say The Craft is a 'horror movie'?? (Just asking because I love that movie!)
Jennifer’s Body was a 2000’s movie
Dman W i know. That wasn’t my point. More that they kinda suit each-other for a movie marathon.

Thank you so much Rob, you are the best!
i love i still know. the outifts, the soundtrack, everything
So, after viewing your video I decided to watch "Trauma". My main takeaway? Asia Argento is a horrible actress and kind of ruins the movie for me.
1990: Misery
1991: The Silence Of The Lambs
1992: Army Of Darkness
1993: The Nightmare Before Christmas
1994: Wes Craven's New Nightmare
1995: Se7en
1996: Scream
1997: Scream 2
1998: Ringu
1999: The Sixth Sense
one of my favs from the 90s is Disturbing Behaviour (1998) its technically a horror/sci fi but i just dont hear people talk about it enough. it has a great cast and everything about it is so deliciously 90s!
Fire in the Sky
The Guardian
Exorcist Three; Legion
Jennifer Love Hewitt was one of my biggest crushes ever. 1 of the hottest in all of Hollywood
I would love an 80s list and you should definitely watch the Exorcist lll! I saw it for the first time a couple of years ago and I loved it, almost as much as the first!
My List:
1990: Misery, Bride of Re-Animator, The Exorcist III, Child's Play 2
1991: The Silence of the Lambs, The People Under the Stairs
1992: Army of Darkness, Dead Alive, Candyman, Bram Stoker's Dracula
1993: Cronos
1994: Interview with a Vampire, Wes Craven's New Nightmare, Brainscan
1995: Tales from the Hood, Ice Cream Man
1996: Scream, The Frighteners, From Dusk Till Dawn, The Dentist
1997: I Know What You Did Last Summer, Wishmaster, Scream 2
1998: Blade, Halloween H20, Urban Legend, I Still Know What You Did Last Summer
1999: The Sixth Sence, Sleepy Hollow, The Blair Witch Project, Idle Hands
I rewatched I still know what you did last summer, and it didn’t age very well, but I still like the setting and the familiar faces
It's not just your opinion Ghoul, I love I still know what you did last summer
Great list!
Thank you for this video! Please make a 80s one.
Another good list, although I agreed with your 80s one more! Regardless, you've earned a new sub. Nice job!
You where born in 1990? im a year younger then you i was born in 1991 We are both 90s babies. Love the video Emma. Awesome 90s list.
Fantastic channel, great reviews:)
Thank you so much!
of course we want the 80s! 70s, too. Also, shout out for Jacob's Ladder (1990)
Excellent choices! This may be a little late but here it goes: WATCH The Exorcist III
PLEASE DO THE 80's LIST!!!
Loved your list. Though I missed Urban Legends up there somewhere.
Yeah the year it came out I felt the other movies were much better. I only named two if I liked them equally as much as each other
@@spookyastronauts I completely understand that. But I loved your list. Love all of the movies you mentioned.
Thank you! Great recommendations, I added some of them to my watchlist. I would like to add to your list the Spanish film “The Day of the Beast” (1995) and the Japanese film “Audition” (1999).
Audition!! 👏🏼
I was in my teens in that decade.
Interview With The Vampire is very meaningful to me because it was the first ever horror movie I watched in a movie theater!!! I turned 18 earlier that year and I loved it
Please review Exorcist III, it is such an underrated masterpiece, and I would love to see your 80's list too :)
1990 - Jacob's Ladder
1997 - Event Horizon
Misery is more a thriller than a horror. Kathy Bates crushed it!
honestly i recommend the exorcist iii to any horror fan, i say you should watch the the first and third back to back
Good call on The Kingdom. I'm not a huge fan of von Trier, got a love/hate thing going, but The Kingdom first series is ridiculously good.
I hope you have a 70s list…will be looking…so many started then! 80s and 90s are my faves though, but some great cult classics in 70s. Oh, and no Jacob’s Ladder?????????
You know, I never hear any RUclipsrs talk about Urban Legend, Such an underrated horror movie
Great cheese fest but I think there were films I preferred from that year!
The exorcist 3 had the most successful jump scares in my personal experience, lol!
Lol " Dellamorte Dellamore" That was great and it is a great underrated movie, My Top 5 90s horrors are 5. Wes Craven's New Nightmare 4. Scream 3. Candyman 2. The People Under The Stairs 1. The Blair Witch Project
Cemetery Man!
It's one of my all time favorite movies period.💖
P.S. I LOVE LOVE LOVE, I Still Know What You Did Last Summer!!
I totally agree with Dead Alive, Trauma, Cemetery Man, The Stendhal Syndrome and The Blair Witch Project.
Please! Please watch and review Exorcist 3!! It’s very creepy and George C. Scott is monumental in that film!! Excellent Horror film!
Yes! PLEASE do an 80s list!
The craft is such a great film it’s like mean girls but with witches. It has a special place in my heart
Ms Balk
The People Under the Stairs has a great Twin Peaks angle to it, helps to have the two main antagonists going between both. Silence of the Lambs is the best movie made period. :) I love the 90s Dracula as well. I rewatch these a lot.
yeeeeessss do the 80'ssssssss
Do you think The Thing would be in first place? That's my personal opinion but I'd say yes.
@@26muca07 For me it's the best Scifi-horror film I've ever seen.
@@justindenney-hall5875 Mr. Denney-Hall. I do aggree 101% with you friend.
Thank you Maja! Come join us on the patreon chat! I hope you got the email I sent out a while ago, if you didn't please message me!
@1960s Clint Eastwood theres no first place! It's by year!
Great list Emma 👍 I love stir of echoes its amazing. You missed the best horror of the 90s though... 🙈 candyman 🐝🐝
Speaking of Dracula, you have a "Mina" look about you. You could play that role for sure.
AHHHHH!!! I Still Know is such a fun ass movie!!!!!! I honestly have seen it wayyyyy more than the original. Brandy falls through at least 7 plate glass windows... and Jack Black wut... I’m SO HAPPY you mentioned it!!
Carnosaur, hahaha. Please do a 80s/70s/60s and so on :)
spookyastronauts "If you see one movie this year make it Frankenhooker" Bill Murray
"Wanna date?"
Yes to the 80s list and Exorcist 3 review!! ❤️
se7en, event horizon, 8mm... come on
