As a person who regularly watched Sunday Morning as a kid, it's possibly THE most perfect impression I've ever heard. And the writing is insanely good.

Yes he was. He had 6 8 women that he was visiting when in the next state. I think that he had been a reporter that was CBS guy that was on call to cover anything around the country with him having to pack and catch a flight cross country in 90 minutes. He was always on Tv. Reporting from DC on Monday. California on wedsday then in Texas Saturday morning. He was in limbo at times and was in touch with small town America when things were slow. He started to get 2 3 minute clips on Morning and other CBS affiliates about this small town middle America person or company. He then was on 60 minutes and was a hit in his couple of stories. It took a couple of years then he was given info about all these places and people from rockies to Ohio Valley. He finally got a idea to let CBS let him create his own show. They balked at it saying we can't fly you all over the middle if America. He said just buy a motor home and if I find a good story you can send a camera guy and sound guy from closest place. So what guy wouldn't like to cruise around the country in a RV. With Company paying most of the bill. You meet interesting folk and find a lady that you can have sex with. Not only 1!!! 6 or 8!!!. I woke up on Sunday mornings to watch his show in early 80s. That's how I learned about polotics in the Raygun years. Meet the press and face the nation were after his show. That's also when I saw the phoney lying Trump. He would be on Shows morning noon and night. He would be asked 7 10 days later why he made this comment. It was from Sunday shows that he blurted out. He never would answer them. It's too complicated for you. Only a few people can understand. The host new he was a liar and tried to get him to explain. He never would answer, just change the subject. Just like last 8 years. Is just a mimic. SO SAD!!!.
