Well I didn’t have to scroll down the comments too far to see three people that had bought these and had numerous problems with them! There is no review as accurate as the previous owner reviews! Thanks for keeping it honest for those that are shopping RVs!! I always read the comments!!!

Sadly, you're right: Thor is one of the major American RV Crap-Makers. This poor guy has got to show it in it's best light though as it's his job as a salesperson (and really, he can't advise/comment on the OTHER "subjective" things buyers need to know).
Still, although I really DO like a Class A this size, AND would put it at (or near!) the top of my "RV Short List," I wish someone ELSE made them -- a quality RV maker/brand such as Pleasure-Way, Leisure Travel Vans for 2 examples (notice these are Canadian RV maker -- US makers are terrible) -- but not Thor. Or Forest River.
Even Winnebago is just "average quality," which isn't saying much. What's WRONG with them? American RVs should be among the BEST! They're not, and probably even UK/EU RVs are better made.
Such a great/compact design...but such poor quality/durability (materials used/fit & finish "workmanship")...not sure about the OTHER 50% (besides the product) everyone needs to consider: How Thor treats customers AFTER the sale, especially if a RV dealer is causing them grief.

I bought a new Vegas and traded it in after 1 year and 5,000 miles. It was in the shop for 9 weeks for a misaligned front cap and then 5 weeks for a propane tank leak. I don’t know about the Goliath engine but I assure you it is not a joy or fun to drive. Our micro wave fell out of the wall as we went down the road, the bathroom door did as well. Changing the oil was a pain in the butt and the engine battery was worse. The interior was dark due to more walls than windows. All in all it was okay for an entry level Class A. We went to a Travato and loved it for 5 years but boy did I miss the basement storage of the Vegas.

@@chuckwalla2967 I really don't want to relive that painfully experience, so briefly, here are some bullet points. I suppose I should have known what was coming the day I picked up the unit. I was asked by the salesman if I had any trips planned. I said yes, heading out from Toronto south through the eastern states, across to New Mexico and up and around and back to Toronto. Maybe 7500 miles. With a straight face, he asked me if I was sure I wanted to do that first time out with a new coach???
About the second time I used the wipers they decided to drop down below the windshield onto the body on the downstroke. The wiper motors were replaced twice by the dealership. I had a loud engine noise "ticking" between 2500-3500 rpm. This was looked at by the dealership maybe 5 times over the first year and found nothing. I finally took it to a Ford dealership in a different city who located the problem. 2 brake lines were routed too close to the engine and at a certain rpm, rubbed against the engine. One had just started to leak, the other was showing wear.
My exterior TV was replaced 3 times due to a poor seal. My house water pump leaked and flooded the coach. My slide motor failed twice an was replaced. The elevated bed above the drivers seat totally failed in the down position, rendering the vehicle undriveable until I took it completely off. The right side of the coach receptacles stopped working, ground issues. The left side of the coach interior lights stopped working, ground issues. Hanger bar in closet simply fell off, screws pulled through the 1/4" plywood, go figure. Numerous other electrical and plumbing issues. The last straw was a water leak behind the kitchen cupboards. When I attempted to find the leak, I found a whole pile of mold. I dropped it back to the dealership. They pulled the kitchen out and fixed the leak. When I went to pick up the coach, the cupboards had not been replaced. Apparently, the $3000 extended warranty covered the actual leak, not everything that happened "downstrean" from the leak. There are many more smaller issues, but I feel my blood pressure elevating just retelling some of these issues.
I finally signed off the ownership at the dealership, told them if they had any conscience at all they'd send me a check, and I left. A few weeks later I received a cheque for about a third of what I paid for it 18 months earlier.

@@ronhinchliffe8160 Yikes, sounds like there needs to be more ways to keep from having all these issues becoming a pain. Sorry, you had to go through all that, their warranty and other things that went on should've been longer. Sadly, it is a concern, if they treat customers less important, in my impression I am in second thoughts. Warranty in my opinion should be for everything. Shame on them for putting you through the ordeal. Makes a customer very hestitant.

nice but I'm looking to live in one of these. I hate that the bed setup is at the loss of living space. You spend more time awake then you do asleep. I think the config needs a few changes as it seems that there's not much space available for a 24' vehicle. And just how long do you spend in a bathroom? 10 hours? nah, this should have the least space of all areas. I do like the kitchen space. meh about gas.

Nor have I because it is disingenuous to believe that such a thing exists. In my humble opinion, this may be exactly why one might consider purchasing a 1 year old pre-owned RV; someone else has already worked out the inevitable issues from the onset.
