Hello everyone, welcome to my channel. Like so many others, my lifestyle changed due to the pandemic.
Before the pandemic, my families lives had become so hectic & busy that there never seemed to be a good time to travel anymore. Somewhere along the line we realized that our last vacation was in 2011. We decided that it was time we made some travel plans.
Then the pandemic hit! I no longer wanted to travel by plane or stay in a hotel. We decided that a bettter and safer alternative would be to travel in our own vehicle, one that we could also sleep in, cook our own meals in, vacation in. The rest is history!
However, the RV shopping process is not easy and required a lot of research. I want to share what I have learned along with my ongoing experiences and adventures through my channel which offers:

Great review, one note though, when you fully open both bathroom doors, the bath becomes a dressing room with access to the wardrobe and the doors are held in place with magnets. :)

Wish the shower and closet was bigger, but a pretty perfect floor plan. Love how the storage next to the grill connect is perfect for a particular portable grill.

Great review. We love everything about this RV except for the small bathroom. Unfortunately, the small Shower and bathroom is a deal breaker for us so we will continue our search for our new RV.

I like the white exterior rather than the brown dated color. Lots of good kitchen storage. Shower in these have always been a "fail." Love the twin bed setup and the fact you can stay overnight with the slide in. Hate the cheap twisty knows on outside storage. $128,000 is less than most Class B vans.

What do you mean?
I own a 2022 Thor Axis 24.1. While watching your presentation of the 2023 Vegas 24.1 which is the same as the Axis. I noticed only small changes like the accordion door in the bed and the location of the shower hot and cold valves, which is a improvement. It is a shame they done away with the cup holder and put charging ports in sofa, under overhead cabinets would have been better. Something you neglected to include, that should of been changed was the sewer compartment under the slide out. With the slide out open you have to get on your knees or sit on the ground to hook up or later on, open and close the valves. Yes you can move the slide out in and out but in order to do that the engine needs to be running, unless that's been changed. And why they put a lock on the compartment door is beyond me. All in all it really is a nice unit.

An unusual question for you. Are there any Class B vans that can be towed behind another RV, class C or A? Best scenario would be a van with a driveshaft disconnect so that it can be towed flat on all fours without using a transmission pump.
Wow, that is a tough question. In order for that to work, you would need to eliminate all the front and AWD drive platforms. That only leaves the Mercedes rear drive platforms. The only new RV that I can think of would be the Thor Synergy as it is rear drive. Thanks for Watching!
Do the cabinets about the loveseat not open more. That’s gonna b hard to get things in & out with the doors only opening 1/2 way.

If the rear part is a u shaped sufa instead of 2 beds turned to a big size bed that will be better because the rear view is beautiful to sit or sleep beside

Ruby can the driver & passenger seats recline and swivel?

There are 2 storage compartments under the driver side bed. Easy access. The passenger side under bunk area holds the water tank and BM Pro control box with no additional storage. I have had a 2031 Vegas and now a brand nrw 2023 Axis. Fantastic unit.

Great rig if on E450 chassis. E350 gives limited OCCC that makes it impossible for a whole family, despite having all those beds. Suggest Thor shorten driver side rear bed by 6 inches to make shower bigger. MSRP has gone up over 40 K in 2 years and a better shower should be doable. Note there is no pantry. This is the only Axis/Vegas that you can overnight in without opening a slide.

We had this unit in a 2021. I’m 5’5 and my toes were touching the wall at the end of the bed. Can’t shorten it any more, but I agree, the shower has to be bigger. This is one of the reasons we sold it and bought something bigger. The Vegas / Axis is very easy to drive, however, and has a ton of power (and internal / external storage for such a compact unit). Lots of room with the slide in, too.
What is the width of the R V?
Informative video. Next time could you tell us the dimensions of the bunk over the cab and its weight capacity? The RV seems well designed with the many, many compromises expertly chosen. Standouts; tank sizes (great for a small RV), couch position (directly across from seating). Negatives for me; TINY shower 27x27in - YIKES! Lack of Ford's higher-end audio system (as an option), no 4x4 available. Still, it is high on my list.

Love watching your videos. The RV looks fantastic however, a shower curtain at this price range should not be acceptable, there are other alternatives. Would love to see some innovation in the RV segment across the board. Keep up the good work Ruby. ;)

I've been looking for an American (or at least sold in US) an Adria COMPACT SUPREME
DL type or Hymer B-MC 580. There's Nothing like those models in the US that I can find. The European design is so great. I'd buy it in a heart beat. They'd sell out. What's the matter, US? Do you carry anything like those? This model you're showing is the closest I've seen. Reply if I'm wrong and you have them!

Very nice overall !!! Looks like the size of a UPS truck 🚚 - might be compatible with most drivers. Bright neutral interior. I would easily choose this Class A over a Leisure Van from Canada. My only complaint would be the tires. Don't like small tires. Prefer Big Chunky All-terrain wheels for off-roading. It's easier for a vehicle to slide out of a pothole if it has Big Chunky tires. Small wheels are always a deal-breaker even if I love the RV.

Is there storage under the bed - do the cushions come off & can the top of bed lift up for storage?
You might consider just showing us the inside first see if. we don’t like the layout we’re not gonna need to know about which door has the generator or the black water valve. See we don’t even need that if we don’t like the inside and if we like the unit will stick around for the outside tour but we just fast forward through all of this outside details anyway so I’t would be nice if you’d start with the inside all the time.

Don't underestimate the quality of this unit. This is my second one. Great fuel mileage. Tows 8,000 lbs. And stops on a dime. Appliances, floors and cabinetry are first class.
Go check one out, yourself. I have a 2018, and I have no problem with the quality on this unit.

Do your research, Thor has a ton of manufacturing issues, if you buy them new you are in for a bad surprise
Seen alot of these burned up and people buying them and trying to redo them! I wouldnt buy one ..Death trap!

I've seen a lot of burned up RVs by all manufacturers, and most models.
I don't know what caused the fires in the other RVs. Could have been manufacturer or the owner.

Like the concept and technology put into this rv. Its shameful that the bedroom bed is of poor quality and looks!! The other and most important reason I wouldn't invest in this model is the fact its on a Ford chassis! My opinion only...!
