I've never driven an RV, but I think I would be comfy learning to drive this size as an option to a camper van. Love the size of the bathroom and the driver visibility is awesome. Can't wait to become a newbie RV owner!
Recently bought a 2016 Thor Vegas 24.1 and absolutely love it. So easy to drive. I can park just about anywhere. The shower is not that big of an issue. Just keep the curtain inside the shower and no leaks. You really can’t take long showers anyway , so not a big deal. Perfect for my sister and fur babies. I’m heading out in a couple weeks for a three month trip. 👍🏻❤️
@@DonnaCrow-HealingSchool Very happy. I wish I were a bit more handy because things do go wrong. I’ve had a couple of issues with the door, including the lock, the toilet lever (just getting a new toilet now), a few other things. But nothing too expensive so far. However, I can’t seem to find any other model that meets my needs as well as this one and from what I’ve seen in RV forums, they all have some issues. I haven’t paid a lot of attention to mileage but supposedly about 10 mpg.
This guy has got to be one of the best salesman around. While I'm not a camping kinda guy I just love watching this guy do his thing. Cracks me up and if I ever decided to buy a RV I'd go with this guy. 😅
I love the twin beds too, as a single one with a daughter. it is great. Nobody climbing over the other person, or crawling down to get off the bed to use the restroom. I wish we could see more RV's with the twin bed option.
I almost bought a used one like this. Was just a little to scary for my first RV. Loved the twin beds. Felt too low to the ground for me AND I hate there is only one door.
In our opinion, this is the best small floorplan for a couple! Our RV is a 2012 diesel Sprinter version of this but the Mercedes-Benz is not as reliable as the Ford and WAYYYY expensive. What makes the Thor floorplan so great is that those are 38" wide twin beds! That's actually a big deal (no pun intended) because most if not all rear twin beds are 33" or less which are hard to sleep on. BTW Andrea, the King Bed assembled is 84"x75"! Having said that, the 2021 version of the 24.1 has been cheapened. Gone is the outside TV of years before. It appears from the sound of the toilet that it is plastic when it used to be porcelain. The cabinetry used to be curved radius. Probably the best year was 2019 when there was a induction cooktop and a one-burner propane cooktop. The TPO roof is not our favorite either as opposed to fiberglass. Most importantly though, the 24.1's are an extreme bargain! The closest RV made to these specifications today is the B+ Leisure Travel Wonder RTB at around $135K! That's probably around $50K more expensive than Matt's best price! We are not Thor fans, but we do love the 24.1. We had the choice to buy one or our present RV and we blew it. If we had a do-over, we would grab the 24.1.
Matt... the best RV salesman in the world! I only have one like. This RV is very compact and has everything that's needed (no frills). Perfect for a couple.
I love the size, I´m a solo traveler, I know I´d be very comfortable. The interior is very impressive, I agree with the opinion of the shower area, and the awning panel, so not friendly. Pretty decent counter space for food preparation. Everything else is pretty cool
We have a 2019 Vegas and we love it. It's easy to drive, tows our Ford Fiesta effortlessly, and has enough storage for us to stay on the road as long as we want to. Ours is on the E450 chassis and has about twice the CCC. We though the shower was too small initially but we have adapted to it. There's nothing we would sacrifice to get a bigger shower. I work in this with a desktop system, with dual 26" monitors on the dash. Oh, also there's more storage under the drivers side bed. Dislikes in the unit you featured include the gas cooktop, the control panel nonsense, and lack of day shades. Ours has the Lippert One Control system an it's been flawless.
We have the 2018 Axis and we’re very happy with it. I upgraded the radio to the same unit shown in the 2021 and I added Sumo Springs and a Sate-T-Plus Steering Stabilizer, but otherwise it’s great. We love the way the bathroom expands with the doors open, and the small shower isn’t that much of a nuisance. I’m surprised nobody has mentioned the great panoramic view out the one-piece windshield. I had clear ceramic tint applied and it cut the heat from the sun way down. Stay safe!
I have a 2016 axis I bought new March of 2016 after i got in the initial bugs worked out of it we love ours too. I haven't met anyone who's had one that doesn't love it . Mine is 25.2 with the rear slide you can go to a football game the absolute perfect Tailgater. you can go anywhere you want if a UPS truck and get there I can.
Poor Matt was melting. Love the overall RV. Agree with the shower, I would put magnets on the bottom of the curtain and shower itself, and that controller sucks.
Loves: the twin beds; for a small Class A this is a great motor home, the cab area has a pedestal option Disloves: shower curtain, no oven for full time RVing, that's it
Rather have an entertainment sofa...is that an option? Great little class A, heading to their website. lol LOVES: Those twin beds!!! The kitchen has more storage & counter than I thought it would, very nice I love the cockpit and all the storage! DISLIKES: Don’t like location of microwave The way the bathroom door blocks off access to the fridge The tiny shower, I don’t like using bathhouses...that’s the whole point of having a bathroom in your RV...so you don’t have to use the bathhouse. Lol
My wife and I are looking to get into an RV and this may be the answer to what we’re looking for. We love the rear twin beds and I love the panoramic view from the driver’s seat. Thanks for your insights on the rig.
I like everything about this motor home. Even the bathroom is ok with me, I wound make it work. Love the open cockpit, love the kitchen/living space and the sofa/loveseat that makes into a bed. I love, love, love the bedroom space. If I was going to buy a motor home I would look at this one. Thank you for the review...
Matt and Andrea, you two always give down to earth, lively demos! Likes: 1. How the two single beds can be made into a king size. 2. Open both doors to the bathroom, and you go from a regular sized bathroom to giant sized...and can grab a beer, too. 3. The front cab with swivel seats and laptop table. It's so open, up there, it's almost a room in itself. Dislikes: 1. When the slide is in, you can't set up the dining table. 2. Shower is small but, personally I can deal with it, and it's better than not having a shower. I think the real issue is the shower curtain. Maybe Thor can make the curtain rod extend out, wa-ay wider than the shower pan circumference. That keeps the curtain off you. Supply a slightly longer curtain with magnets in the bottom, that line up with magnets on the inside base of the shower pan...just puttin it out there. 3. The swirls on the exterior. Bring the RUV appearance into the 21st century. How, you say? Solid color paint, with black gloss paint from the front window to the rear window. Using the front side window for the height of the paint, carried to the rear window. It gives the appearance of one window, and matches the tinted windows. A clean automotive look and no swirls. See there, a nice contemporary looking RUV, to match the cleaner, updated interior, of the 24.1. If you've seen the 2014 to 2017 interiors of these models, with the yucky 1980s decor, you know what I mean. Anyway, I'm sold on this model, and my girl is in lockstep, with me, and ready to take the plunge.
LIKES: 1. TWIN BEDS ... hallelujah!!! 2. Outside Storage 3. Interior Colors 4. Sofa / Table DISLIKES: 1. Bathroom (maybe it should be a wet bathroom, then there would be much more room for showering. Also cabinetry could be outside the wet bathroom area ... just my opinion 🤷) 2. Limited Kitchen Countertop Space 3. Control Pad!!!
I was going to type exact same likes and dislikes and didn’t wanna look like I was copying you LOL Something outside storage gives you that most people don’t think about, it’s for the older traveler that has a tagalong with a mobility scooter. Virtually no motorhomes have storage for a motorized scooter anywhere with them. Somebody should also get the idea of putting in an outlet back there to charge the batteries of a scooter in the back garage
I love the back "bedroom" area because it can also be used as a lounge type space where you can hang out etc with several people if you wanted and treat it like a large sectional type thing. It reminds me of the class C leisure vans but it's larger.
I love the two-tone interior -love the two-tone cabinets ,LED lighting ,love the big windshield .... love the twin beds if needed .i agree .. needs nautilus door Edit: needs flip up counter extension. needs travel tray on rear bumper I need this in my life
Matt: Your enthusiasm is infectious. Thanks for sharing. As for THOR:Stop putting 73” beds in motor homes. 80” should be the standard. On this model, the front TV should be on the wall, rear of the sofa. Toilets MUST have sprayers. Let’s stop putting LP stoves in motorhomes now that convection is here. These guys are tripping over dollars trying to save pennies. A little more attention to details would sell lots more boxes. Love your videos.
Just met them today. Very friendly and helpful. Thanks and appreciate your video reviews. We find them helpful, insightful and definitely influencing our RV decision. Thanks again
Love the cab, don’t like there is no front doors. Not sure I like the tire size. Love it’s a v 8, love the bed over the cab and love the pop out it opens up in the sitting area.
This is a great motorhome. We had a 2016 and loved it. It’s only gotten better. I love the bedroom layout, also love the magnetic bathroom doors that create a larger bathroom when you need it. Has great storage for the size of the motorhome. The shower is small, but you can make it work. The convection/microwave looked pretty small.
I absolutely love this class A. We will be giving a call in near future. Love what you guys are doing. Me and my fiancee watch you guys almost everyday to get educated about motorhomes.Great job you guys!
Hi Matt...we have the 2017 25.5..love it! But they still havent made the seats in the front easier to move around and are wobbly...love the new radio and added Sirius radio...the vlinds up front do not totally cover the windows to conceal for privacy...love the adjustable shelves in cabinets...and the stainless sink....hope the water heater works better in the new ones..ours does not maintain temp during shower....it is not too well insulated in the cold..walls sweat and windows fog....I am glad we dont have the display for our slides and such....love the window on the back of RV...we dont have with our bath in back...the sofa is very comfortable but on enough room to move around when used for a bed. I hope Thor sees this and thinks about a few changes for the next generation!! Thanks
We have this model, purchased in 2015. We are both tall and only weekend travelers. It is lower quality but keep in mind you get what you pay for. It's easy to drive and gets good gas mileage .
Love the size of the motor home and everything about it. Do not like the dang shower curtain and yes Matt, just give me the button without having to memorize the computer. Love you guys.
I always love when you get to the back of the motor home. Between the commentary on the the “stinky slinky” and coming down off the ladder, I’m dying 🤣
We agree with you on the dislikes of this motor home. My husband is exact.y like you Matt and that computer system for the awning would drive him insane. They don’t have to make things so complicated. I totally agree with Andrea about the shower. That curtain will be stinky and nasty and water will get everywhere in that bathroom. It is not practical. Love your videos!
thanks for the great review, you are fun to watch. I have the 2017 Vegas 24.1 and love it lots. I am happy to see the 1) propane connection on the right side; 2) the access storage door on the rear; 3) you finally acknowledging it as a Class A! 4) solar connection, yippie! 1) I agree with you on the digital control, ugh!; 2) a v8 instead of the v10! why??? 3) the kitchen configuration was better in previous years. thanks again for your wonderful reviews and happy personality.
Been doing a lot of research - want to get into an RV but want something small so we are not restricted in where we can go. Can't wait to show my husband your videos - really thinking about a small Class A! Really like this one!
3 Likes: 1: Versatile bedroom area 2: Spacious cockpit and power bunk 3: Nice decor and cabinetry design 3 Dislikes: 1: Lower-end kitchen appliances and fixtures 2: Terrible shower 3: Wheels look too small
could you follow up with the dealership and find out why the awning did not go out? Did thor do away with the outside TV? Can you get recliners instead of the sofa? I am six foot seven and love this unit.
I actually love this motor home! I love the round sink a lot. But I can't help but think a larger square or rectangle one with a piece that covers only half of it would be better. That way you can have access to part of the sink while having more countertop space. Awesome bedroom and outdoor storage
I love this small motorhome. It’s cute. Didn’t like the shower curtain and the control that Matt talked about. Love the twin beds. A lot sleeping space for a small motor home. Thank you Matt and Andrea.
Such a cool motorhome for being so small.. good looking interior, and at the size and weight, that large gas motor will have zero problems going where you want..
This is the perfect couple’s rv. I love that there is not a dinette AND a sofa. Most RVs will have a dinette instead of the sofa in a small length rv. If they made this 2’ longer they could make the bathroom bigger and the kitchen longer and it would be PERFECT!!!!
Got a suggestion to make this a fantastic motorhome easy! I'm a million miler in motorhomes. Back past the couch Matt likes tear out everything on that side to the rear including the beds in the back. Put in a second couch or a bigger couch and put in a Murphy Bed. PUt a full bathroom across the back and you will have closet space, a great bed and a great bathroom with added closet space. Easy peasy and you would sell them like hotcakes!!
I love this motor home. I’ve been looking for something like this for a few years. I just want something small for my wife. She’s a front line health care worker and a fairly new driver. It would be great to have something like this for her so when the weather gets extreme as it often does here in Oklahoma, she wouldn’t need to risk driving home after work. Unfortunately we can’t afford it yet but I will keep saving for her safety.👍
Love "almost" everything about this unit. Twins, roomy feel/interior look, Ford V8....but that shower, I'm just not sure, BUT the pluses might outweigh the minuses. My minuses are the same as Matt's.
I really like the quality looks and layout. Would like to see a better shower and an extension on the end of the counter. Love all the storage. A modern nomad could really live comfortably in this unit. Nice job.
Matt, love this small coach, would be a great choice BUT, BUT, BUT there is a HUGE DESIGN FAIL which would be all three of my dislikes rolled into one: Google how you service or change the chassis battery. You literally have to take part of the dash apart, cut a hole in the dash plywood to remove or service it. The other method is to take the front right wheel off, remove the inner fender. One guy underneath to lift the battery and another to guide it out. Thor needs to simply put a access door on the exterior to make life better. Other than that issue I love this coach! Oh, in full agreement the shower sucks!!! Good vid again Matt and Andrea....thank you
Love all the storage space, inside and out, love the solar, love the new position of the toilet on the class A smallest Thor RV Dislike the small countertop space, but nice added flip up table/counter, again don’t care for the small 2 burner stove top with flip up cover. How about a flip up and Fold Down INDUCTION COOK TOP STOVE on the end of the counter and then that free’s up that space for more countertop? Also the round sink is taking up a lot of space and isn’t that practical for washing & rinsing your dishes. A small double sink would be nice, like the little prep sinks or the little bar sinks you see in model homes? Just throwing that out there! Lol love your dismount off the ladder Matt! And Andrea your a sweetheart! Keep the videos rolling, love you guys!!! Mary S
Wish we would have seen this video recording before we bought our Thor Gemini. Love this RV! Love your videos too! We are thinking of trading in our Gemini, we need a little more room. I might be leaving this message on the wrong video clip, it was the Thor video before this one! Thanks guys, Mary S
So the little pillow top between the beds-can it be removed to have a flat table? If you have a glass of water by your bed, that’s needed. Maybe a cup holder?
My first impression of the twin beds was “NOPE” but after seeing the layout, I think I’d learn to love it. The shower is WAY too small. Even if it had rounded door, I’m betting I’d put an elbow through it, and I’m small. I’d never use the front bunk and wouldn’t want to pay for that feature. Love all the storage space! Love the cockpit! All in all, I would put this model on my list of “MUST see”.
The shower needs a glass rounded door. My husband and I saw one in person and liked it but that shower is just a deal-breaker... Water will go everywhere. Other than that we could really make it work. Although it would be nice if it had a swing up counter space added.
The AXIS 27.7 has a bigger shower. Still has the curtain though but it looks like someone might be able to install a door after the purchase. Matt has a video on the AXIS 27.7. The only thing i didn't like about it was the stovetop cover, how it was mounted. EDIT: It also has a swing up counter space
True if there was a way to add a enclosure to that shower it'll be perfect. I have two small kids one can sleep on the drop down or the sofa bed. Actually both could sleep on the drop down bed because its 500 lbs. Great camper.
I took out my plastic slide curtain and put in a curtain much more room and with a weighted shower curtain no water on the floor..doors limit size in a small rig and im tall with long arms are terrible banging into...
I like more than 3: Tankless hot water heater, solar panel, pass-through storage, Apple car play, passenger work station, retractable upper bunk, nice sized deep sink, large fridge.
I love the couch! I love the beds! I love the big front seats! I agree with Andrea about the shower, don’t care the lid to the stove, & the panel is too smart for me.
I really like the split bed , because when your not sleeping you don't have to climb on the bed to get to the storage, you can sit back and read a book without climbing on the bed great idea
It’s actually very nice. The bathroom (shower) is a big negative, but it is what it is in a small space. We like the drop-down bunk, and cockpit area, as well. Good price, too!
I love the fact it is compact. I also like that it has the look of a Class A motor home but is rated at a Class C. I absolutely love the front design too! I don't like that it is not diesel. I also don't like the shower curtain either.
Like the updated interior look. Like the kitchen and fridge size but a pop up table would help. Like the bed set up. Like that Godzilla motor. Like the sofa because Matt said it didn't feel cheap. I hate cheap cushions!
We bought a Thor a couple years ago and absolutely hated it. Traded it for another in 6 months. There are a few nice things about it and Yes it has plenty of storage BUT things were falling apart inside. The driver non adjustable driver seat was so high my feet couldn't reach the floor. The rig wandered all over the road, and don't let a truck pass. I hated driving it. (I am a professional driver with 3 million + miles in my years of driving) The sofa/dinette was so far apart you couldn't reach the table and "relaxing" gave us both back aches. The twin beds were so hard it was like sleeping on cement. The outside TV door (which we never used) popped open -- the TV was not attached and is somewhere between San Diego and Tucson and try hooking up a cable of some kind to the back of the bolted on inside TV. The slide motor never was attached to the frame so the slide would not go back in. We took 3 week long trips, about 2500 miles, and the rest of the 6 months it was in the shop for warranty work. Nuff said! There is not enough space for the rest of that nightmare.
it's a great combo of Class A feel in the cockpit and comfort of a Class C ... thanks for the great review ! I want to ask... where would you store the black hose, in the bumper?
I've never driven an RV, but I think I would be comfy learning to drive this size as an option to a camper van. Love the size of the bathroom and the driver visibility is awesome. Can't wait to become a newbie RV owner!

I also thought that an extension for the kitchen counter was in order
I agree completely on the controls. Just give us the buttons! We have enough technology and it isn't necessary. I love the twin beds!
I am so sorry I missed it, oh well yes I am wrong, thank you for correcting me.
I love the big pass-thru storage with three access points so you don’t have to pull half your stuff out to get at something that’s in the middle.
yeah Thor...finally tankless instant hot water...my pet peeve!!!

I think all RVs should have a tankless hot water system.
Just met them today. Very friendly and helpful. Thanks and appreciate your video reviews. We find them helpful, insightful and definitely influencing our RV decision. Thanks again
I would have to swap out that sofa for dual recliners.
Yes I have to agree with you. I didn’t think of that
Me too
Great idea
He said that the two front seats were on a swivel I imagine they recline some.
I love the floor plan. You don't see twin bed setups like you did in the 70's and 80's.
This interior looks extremely cozy. Especially bedroom area with twin beds. 😍
I just bought a 2018 model and I love it.
Thanks for sharing that. I’m about to pull the trigger on one. 😍
what about the price???
@@angetodac buying a used one brought the price down to something I was more comfortable with.
Very nice small motorhome
Been doing a lot of research - want to get into an RV but want something small so we are not restricted in where we can go. Can't wait to show my husband your videos - really thinking about a small Class A! Really like this one!
3 Likes:
1: Versatile bedroom area
2: Spacious cockpit and power bunk
3: Nice decor and cabinetry design
3 Dislikes:
1: Lower-end kitchen appliances and fixtures
2: Terrible shower
3: Wheels look too small
I was thinking the same thing about the wheels
could you follow up with the dealership and find out why the awning did not go out? Did thor do away with the outside TV? Can you get recliners instead of the sofa? I am six foot seven and love this unit.
Matt did not have patience with that panel. Panel was not Matt friendly, therfore no awning.
No recliner either per Thor's web site.
↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑ Another flawless dismount from the ladder.
I actually love this motor home! I love the round sink a lot. But I can't help but think a larger square or rectangle one with a piece that covers only half of it would be better. That way you can have access to part of the sink while having more countertop space. Awesome bedroom and outdoor storage
Love the storage, instant hot water and V8
I love this small motorhome. It’s cute. Didn’t like the shower curtain and the control that Matt talked about. Love the twin beds. A lot sleeping space for a small motor home. Thank you Matt and Andrea.
Such a cool motorhome for being so small.. good looking interior, and at the size and weight, that large gas motor will have zero problems going where you want..
Thanks for the review you two. Love the honesty and straight up review.
Love the size, style and seats
I love the layout of this motor home very much with one exception... There was no art Deco!
I test drove one last year and really liked it. My wife would even walk through it once she saw the lack of counter space. Great review! Thanks
Amazing RV. Cab, Bedroom, Finishes, Size GREAT- A perfect compromise for the person wanting a smaller, footprint! I do agree on the recliners!!
Love the king bed....dinky little cabinets...love the all around windows
This is the perfect couple’s rv. I love that there is not a dinette AND a sofa. Most RVs will have a dinette instead of the sofa in a small length rv. If they made this 2’ longer they could make the bathroom bigger and the kitchen longer and it would be PERFECT!!!!
You are a hoot!! Crack me up. Love the review!! I like this very much.
Do the outdoor storage lock? Does the gas tank lock? That needs to happen
Love this! Esp the couch directly across from TV.
Such a compassionate, loving thought.
You are a wonderful husband! I’m a nurse and giving her a place to stay safe when she’s so tired is true love!
I agree with Matt, I would have wanted an oven and convection microwave on top there is def enough room for it, the counter space is amazing!!
Nice layout nice to see a closet in this size. Wish it didn't have the drawers below it so you can hang longer items.
I love the bed in the back with all the windows!
What a nice motorhome with an awesome bedroom.....and the price is fair.....
Nice job.
Love the adjustable bed
Good vid again Matt and Andrea....thank you
Love all the storage space, inside and out, love the solar, love the new position of the toilet on the class A smallest Thor RV
Dislike the small countertop space, but nice added flip up table/counter, again don’t care for the small 2 burner stove top with flip up cover. Mary S
Very cool just perfect! Love it.
I looked for you at the Tampa RV show but could not find you! I’ll be there on Sunday and I look forward to seeing you . Gigi
They did away with the counter extension for 2021
I took out my plastic slide curtain and put in a curtain much more room and with a weighted shower curtain no water on the floor..doors limit size in a small rig and im tall with long arms are terrible banging into...
@@arisdaddy2001 and the outside TV (unless it's an option...), Lol
I like more than 3: Tankless hot water heater, solar panel, pass-through storage, Apple car play, passenger work station, retractable upper bunk, nice sized deep sink, large fridge.
You're the godzilla of rv reviews Matt😉
I love the couch! I love the beds! I love the big front seats! I agree with Andrea about the shower, don’t care the lid to the stove, & the panel is too smart for me.
I like the length of the unit. The rear pass through is great (3) doors. Perfect for inner city travel.
This is nice wow I like this one. The perfect survival RV. Thank you guys
I really like the split bed , because when your not sleeping you don't have to climb on the bed to get to the storage, you can sit back and read a book without climbing on the bed great idea
My favorite RV! Love everything. My only dislike is the outdoor TV. Just don’t think it’s necessary.
I have a 2017 Vegas and love it!
Good to hear! Thanks for sharing that.
I LOVE this motorhome. It is definitely going on my short list.
I see what you did there.
It’s actually very nice. The bathroom (shower) is a big negative, but it is what it is in a small space. We like the drop-down bunk, and cockpit area, as well. Good price, too!
I agree with Matt and Andrea. I like this motor home. 👍👍👍👍👍
Very good price....great storage...love the microwave
I love the fact it is compact. I also like that it has the look of a Class A motor home but is rated at a Class C. I absolutely love the front design too! I don't like that it is not diesel. I also don't like the shower curtain either.
Like the updated interior look. Like the kitchen and fridge size but a pop up table would help. Like the bed set up. Like that Godzilla motor. Like the sofa because Matt said it didn't feel cheap. I hate cheap cushions!
The bed issuse other think is perfect great job
I like the cockpit, Ford, and that back bedroom. :-)
Love your videos. I am a new follower. You guys are so enthusiastic.
