You missed one point, which to my personal experience is very enriching. Wim Hof says: breathe in peace, breathe out stress. Especially in emotionally hard times this gave me a lot of support and I increased the 4 rounds up to 7, 8 or more, until I felt again all my natural power and ease. Try it out!

There are many ways/levels .When you inhale you think of the word calm and when you exhale you think of the word relaxed!
Breathe in through your nose, breathe out through your mouth. When you inhale, start with the lower abdomen and slowly fill the top of the lungs. When you exhale, let go of everything. Calm - Relax. Take lukewarm showers at first and later on when you are used to it cold showers.

Out of stress is a perquisite necessity! If you do Whim Hoff breathing correctly you can’t do it if you are accaparâtes by stress and anxiety, it dissolve it! Kitaro explains perfectly well.

3 weeks in still just a pup Padawan. It helps though. 7 years meditation and 40 of martial arts this technique from Wim Hoff is much appreciated. Thanks for diving a little deeper to explain.

There is one line that Whim says that really complements: in with peace, out with stress
I’ve found that it helps find the right rhythmic balance to make the most out of each round
Thank you for sharing, Kitaro 🙏

Very interesting Kitaro, thank you for sharing. It's interesting also that that's what I try to teach to my patients (I'm physiotherapist and I work with respiratory issues and chronic pathologies) though I think you explain it better, and that I should put more emphasis on the importantce of conscious breathing and awareness. What's also interesting is the effects it has in the brain as attention and awareness develops the frontal cortex and gives it more strength to counteract the power of the amigdala's influence in the brain functions

Your ability to produce excellent content never fails to impress me. For the longest time, I've been curious about the intricacies of proper breathing techniques. After years of practice, I finally experienced a breakthrough this weekend. I was able to truly comprehend and feel the sensation of a complete inhalation for a full round, achieving an unprecedented level of mind-body connection.

I find in especially interesting to feel and (kind of) control my heartbeat. In the breathold-phases it tends to slow down at first but after about 2 minutes it trys to speedup slightly or at least the pulse feels a bit stronger. To stay calm but not forcing too much is key here and this is my (second) favorite sensation.
The absolute favorite stays the tingeling after the last inhale + 15 seconds hold of corse.

Another very practical and helpful video breaking down Wim Hof breathing into simple yet detailed elements. Posture, “filling the cylinder”, exhaling through pursed lips, utilizing the breath hold time for meditation/mindfulness, explanation of the function of the diaphragm to more efficiently use it to good effect, all provide easy to understand tips for improving and deepening one’s practice. Thank you! 🙏🏽

I’ve really been struggling to get back into breathing after taking a few months off. After watching this video, I’ve realised I’ve been arching my back and have tense shoulders when I’m breathing. I’m struggling to hold to 1:30 now whereas I was holding for up to 4 minutes a few months ago. It just doesn’t feel as good anymore. I think my technique needs some work. Thanks for highlighting things.

This is really great, thank you so much. I to use the minutes between rounds of grass for meditation, shirt, focusing on sacred shapes or areas where there are blockages or sending love to family and self are very powerful ways to spend this unique time while holding your breath. It says, though the whole void is focusing and a minute or two brings so much energy to what you’re giving attention to

These tips are excellent. We have all been blessed with your graciousness and knowledge to help improve our lives. I can see making these breathing exercises what I need instead of a one-size-fits-all. However, can you give me any insight as to doing these breathing exercises at 6700 feet elevation? When I go down to sea level I can do them great, but at home I struggle. Do these exercises need to be modified for people who live well above sea level? Yes I can see that I concentrate too much on the breath hold time I need to chill there. Thank you so much.

I just discovered your videos. I notice you inhale through your nose and exhale through your mouth through pursed to lips. But I had been practicing with Wim Hof video and observed he inhales through mouth. After reading the book Breath I’m aware there is a significant distinction. Can you clarify or is the answer in another video or your website? Thank You✨
