The judge messed up worse. She permitted the plaintiff's attorney to play a segment of AJ insulting the jury which was not evidence relevant to the claims of the case. *This without question prejudiced the jury and gives him yet another set of grounds for an appeal.*

The idea of a law that you aren't allowed to inform the jury of is absurd. If the punitive damages cap stays in place, I hope at least that this law becomes common knowledge to the extent that it fails to work anymore.
the big thing though is that if you inform them of that law, they way-overreward on compensatory damages even on cases where it's not warranted, thus making for an even more broken system.
The whole things is just an corporate protection mesure to ensure the average person can’t do too much damage to those with lots of money and power.
Brilliant work all round. Thank you.

Completely agree with jury. Never expected to be entertained. He'd popped up twice from his chair and his attorney would have to politely push him back into the seat. At one point, when only attorneys were in the courtroom, the judge gasped, "oh, no" like how much more do I have to endure? She corrected herself, but it was a gut reaction. Alex jones' attorney was just as full of crap as jones is. They are two of a kind. He did not serve his client well just like jones does not serve his fans well. Jones totally deserved it.
I cried and cried watching the news that day, wasn’t it right before Christmas too. I couldn’t believe how young those babies were, my nephews age. Me and my mom sobbed like babies. 🇨🇦
At the time, my son was in first grade. It was a Friday. I remember watching the news that weekend nonstop. I had never bawled at a news report before, but I just kept seeing my son in all those sweet childrens’ faces. What these parents have been through is sickening.
Me Bankston has good taste in music
The fact that Jones’ supporters haven’t realized that he is just using them to depart them with their hard-earned money is the most bafflingly thing to me. He will say whatever he has to say to get them to send in money….that’s all. Jones has admitted to being charlatan and a “performance artist” and yet this doesn’t cause a moment of pause.
That's because they're fools. And we all already know the phrase - A fool and his money are soon parted.
Just like any establishment that’s open for business, you can’t run a business without money... wow you libtards are fkn intelligent 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Nobody pays him anything except the government. He’s a member of military intelligence. You don’t know what’s going on. This is an attack against the truth movement. Alex Jones is a red herring to distract people from really what is going on. He covers for the Jesuits and the Catholic agents.
No matter how much he's been correct about anything there's still people who willingly just don't want to look into what he has to say because of cognitive dissonance. You're bit about him being a performance artist is true, however, if you are actually genuine about what he said he meant that in the fact that part of his broadcast is having segments where it's not serious mixed in with actual news which is how public broadcasters usually run their show. No matter if it's Epstein, the side effects from the shot, the hunter Biden laptop story, the fake Russian collusion hoax scandal, or any other number of stories he's talked about, nothing besides personal experience will wake you people up because you're just that brain dead.
Jones doesn't love his audience, he hides from them at every opportunity. I guess looking at his audience, I would too.
“He got an entire generation of millennials to Google who Perry Mason is” Gen Z myself but I still feel called out
He and the judge did s great job, faced with a total snd dsngerous nutcase.

I lost a good friend to Jones' lunacy. Jones hasn't worked a day in his life, and the 1st amendment has never protected against charges of defamation.
Great discussion. But why, WHY did the jury not award the parents the full $150 mil?
Because No one likes to see people who’ve been bitten by the greed bug, especially parents.
Because there was no evidence for that amount of money being awarded and there is a cap by law that limits how much they can get.
Juries especially in Texas are pretty stingy. 4 mil for compensation is a lot of money for you and me, but for Alex is a couple months revenue, and normal people can't really wrap their head around that.
I agree 75 mil for compensation was appropriate but you always ask for more than you think you'll get
Of course this badass has amazing taste in music.
Guys, why do you keep cutting to the interviewer while the lawyer is talking? Just let the guy talk and keep the shot on him ffs
Yes! It's bugging me more than it probably should.
Sure wish I had a lawyer that actually worked for me. My daughter was killed in a MVH it was so corrupt that when I called them all out ...the DA quit his job & is now working for my law firm. corrupt corrupt. But this case was not a good representation of laws 🙄 😕.
Do not know what an MVH is, just want to say keep fighting for your rights and for others. May God bless you Janet C.
@@jeffscott2528 Motor vehicle homicide. Thank you for your kind words. I gave up after 5 years. Justice is never coming. But it is in God's hands. Have a good day.
So much more to come for Alex! I confess I may be a little sad when Alex’s downfall comes to a shattering, unrecoverable end. Only bc I’m rather enjoying the downfall part. Riveting. Can’t wait for season 2. Stocking up on popcorn.
This lawyer became a legend in that cross examination. Jones literally compared him to Perry Mason. Unreal. HOWEVER... With Jones losing this case, it sets a bad president for journalism. Alex Jones was just asking questions and having an opinion on the facts of the shooting. So being someone who questions all sides costs you $50 million now? Got it. Jones won't have to pay it anyway. There's a cap on slander. Who has the last laugh now?
The ruling on the cap will be in season 2 I believe. We got a sneak-peak about the cap toward the end of the video.

Can you imagine how many people Jones rubs up the wrong way?
Bankston is a great guy.
LOVE this attorney!!!
He's got awesome taste in music!!
This seems relevant: Norm Pattis (disgraced ponytail lawyer) asserted 5th amendment protection in his show cause hearing. Expect him not to be an attorney much longer.
I really hope Norm does his stand up comedy routine in the court room.

I have no doubt the judge will take it in the spirit he intended (i.e. contempt)
Mark was an absolute knight in that courtroom. Big props to him for destroying Alex Jones right to spread false information.
I loved the way he just openly cackled once he had Alex backed in a corner.
