How Easy is it to Use a RotopaX Gas Can?

- STAY TUNED TO THE END FOR BLOOPERS! I have had a TON of questions between RUclips and Instagram asking about the ease of use with this RotopaX gas can. In this video, I try to demonstrate that it really is a nice gas can and is very easy to use. I'm impressed.

Thank you - I needed the "Push". I was missing that step.
Thanks for the great video. Love your Jeep! (and I'm a 5th Gen 4runner owner)
It's real how many takes are needed to produce a video. Keep up the great work.
Mark Randall thanks Mark. Yeah, it is definitely more complicated than I first thought it would be. It’s funny, though, to see myself and how tongue-tied I can get 😂
Good video... I’ve never seen anyone actually use one of them. I enjoyed the bloopers. Haha! It’s funny how an 8 minute video takes 6 hours of footage isn’t it. 😆
Awesome CJ !!!
Sweet instructional video, but even sweeter jeep.
You can get new lids with out the sprinloaded spout thing. At least here you can.
Good video, could the tank fit against the tailgate wall, if you do not have a tailgate?
Any fuel can will build pressure if it gets warm. If it doesn’t, it’s because it leaks.
I hear some talk about the self ventilated spout what do you think of that. Awesome Jeep
I think i'm going with the 3.5 gallon rotopax for my roof rack and only keep 3 gallons in it for expansion purposes.jim
How do you vent them when in high elevations or rise in temperature?
Central PA??? I’m in PA and I’ve been looking for some cool spots to go “soft roading” and just explore or in VA.
*I used this on my 2006 Troy Bilt Pony (MTD) tractor **Bestfor.Garden** also recommend it was an easy swap. It's very light aluminum and seems sturdy enough so far; I assume you really only need to replace the idle pulleys once so if these wear out anytime while I have the mower I'll update the reivew.*
Did you leave the spout inside while it was full of gas?
How do you relock the spout? I can't relock mine.
Never owned rotopax, but it looks cumbersome.
Can you get a better spout for it ✌️🇨🇦
The locking feature is very cheap for cans that cost anywhere from $80-200. Need to get with their Chinese manufacturers and rework this feature. I have two cans of different sizes and have trouble on both. Got the cans because they are slender and my truck bed is full of moto gear, but may have to go back to regular gas station no name brands.
The question I had is not so much filling the car's tank, but filling the Rotopax can itself. There is a perforated white filter in the can and the velocity of the typical gas pump causes the gas to back up quickly causing a spill. The filter doesn't appear to be removable. Am I missing something here. Tried to fill directly from pump. Should I get a regular Jerry can and fill the Rotopax with that so I can more readily modulate the pouring velocity?
The older ones didn't have that filter you mention...I have 3 and the newest one came with the filter. It's a bit annoying but you just have to go easy on the squeeze when you fill it up so it doesn't trigger the overflow valve on the pump.
@@joecerda630 thanks. Really depends on how much control you can get with the pump handle. I found one that I could slow to a very slow stream, but another one was off or full velocity.
Where is the vent?
Love their product however hate the nozzle it’s not the manufacturers fault but man I had to replace that thing it just pisses me off
Man I just bought 2x 2 gallon Rotopax, the spout is such a pain in the ass.
I wonder why it's not a full 5-gallon Jerry can
I thought of that lol.. I was like why 4 gallons. They do 2.5 gallons and go to 4 gallons lol
Buy the water spout for your gas can. No safety crap and pours twice as fast!
I'll look into it, thanks!
the bloopers tell how difficult it is to use it
Achisachis73 not really? Only problem I had was my own dumb fault, not the can. Only trying to be fun and real, showing how difficult it is to produce a decent video by yourself from start to finish.
65SEEJAYFIVE lmfao
Yeah I think I'll stick to my Wavian jerry cans with the "normal" nozzle, legal or not. Good luck not breaking that plastic nozzle when you put all the weight of that container on it.
Just use a electric fuel pump with long gas hoses and positive and negative wires with bigger alligator clamps to vehicle battery. Simple fix
Thanks for there idea!
Stretches a 60 second video into 8 minutes
Do you know what’s nice? If you don’t want to watch the video, you don’t have to watch the video. Thanks for the ignorant comment.

Those nozzles suck , you can thank the government for those!!!
Would have been great if I could have gotten the gas out. Horrible design on spout. Needs to be replaced, total garbage (if you want to get gas out)
