God ❤ jeeps all ways from Australia
You probably need a 4” lift to keep most of the stuff from rubbing. 😂
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
awsome video! been wanting to do this conversion! your the only 1 with this video!
This is a crap top for a 1966 cj5 Kaiser. They say it fits but nope
I can not find any video anywhere to tell or show how to change the setup to auto… I watched you go into the setting but what knob or button do you push to make it mover over to change.
Love your videos my friend, thank you 4 sharing. I love my old TJ but at this point, to many 'little' things are starting to break and while it runs great . . . these little things start to annoy me so I dicided that something needs to be done. I started collecting new parts so I can start restoring it this spring, but there's one thing that seems problematic to get where I live. The ingintion switch! So after a lot of calls and mails I dicided to buy an after market unit and put it in. This ignition switch comes with 2 simple codeless keys. The ignition switch works great but when I start the engine, it runs for 2 seconds and turns off because the new keys aren't programmable. In order to start the engine and keep it running, I have to start the Jeep while holding the original key against the lock. After that the engine keeps running fine but it's very annoying. Is there a way to your knowledge to turn this code confirmation off in the Jeep itself?
What did you expect. It's bound to run, it's a Ford.
What seats are those?!... they look great & I'll be replacing mine in my 98 TJ soon😎
👍🏻
Based on the rollbar I'd say it was a 1980 - 1983 (in some cases a 1979). If you choose to repair the parts Jeep tub, there is a company, (Classic Enterprises, (USA made)) that makes excellent replacement body pieces.
Looks like your hood, front fenders and grill are salvageable, tub is obviously scrap. Go full-in and get a new tub, windshield frame, seats, complete new wiring kit, top, and you will have a very nice, sought after Jeep. If you put a 4.0L head, and engine wiring/computer on that 4.2L, it will surprise you how powerful/well it runs. Doing the entire 4.0L swap is another option of course (which is what I am just now finishing in my 1983 CJ5) but all you really need is the head/ wiring/computer. No point in giving up the larger displacement of the 4.2L.
I'm about to do a 4.7 stroker conversion, guess it'll be a titan now.
Thank you. I was about to buy the same head and definitely won't be doing that now because those issues are important to me too. We need to stand together against the big corporate companies that don't care about us.
That’s a good looking Jeep! I think a 2 inch lift with some 33/10.5r15s would look great too. Just my opinion though. Enjoyed the video and merry Christmas!
New tub 🎉
👍👍😎🎉
can't believe you sold the TJ after all that engine work you did to it. I was just checking out your channel since I haven't seen a Jeep video in a long time. Whatever happened to that old one you were going to fix up?
Wasn’t a choice I really wanted to make, and I don’t owe really anyone any reason other than my wife and children will always come first. When life happens, sacrifices have to be made in the short term for a long term benefit.
@@65SEEJAYFIVE You are right, you don't owe anyone any reasons, I was just asking since you put so much money and effort into it, I was watching your channel because of the engine swap, Didn't mean to get you upset man. Good Luck
Que rines son??
Desert Rat Tracker 3
Really nice color, blue patriot the best color in a Tj.
Now that’s a nice TJ
Where’s the jeep?
Love it, that's a good lookin Jeep. I have a moss green 98 Sahara, great color. Welcome back to TJ land! Merry Christmas!
Beautiful truck! I love my 86 F150 4x4 and i used it for hunting
Love it! Glad to see you back in the Jeep game! My Jeep game has been on hiatus for a while now. Finishing graduate school has taken a priority lol. Glad to have caught this video Jason!!
That’s going to be a awesome build! Love the color and the seats!! Are you sure they’re not aftermarket covers? I’ve never seen the camouflage!
Duratrac RT's hands down, great truck!!
I'd keep the engine and lose the rest. That ain't a REAL Jeep, like you had. I live in Tioga County, P.A.. Did you get that from Sunbury?
Have you ever looked up newcomer racing, they built nice engines for jeep.
Edelbrock head & Harland sharp rocker, did notice any performance changes?
Looks like a great TJ! Congrats on the new rig!
Thanks!
Glad to see y'all back in the (Jeep) saddle. Ain't nuthin' wrong with a TJ. I believe they're only bettered by the LJ. Moss green? Makes it harder to hide in the winter. Kinda like a black Jeep in a snow storm. Tires? YES! They're like me, old, tired and waiting to take a leak. I'll give you a nod to the 2 inch and bigger tires. Just enough of a change to make it your own, without blowing the budget this early. Looking forward to a new year of content involving this Jeep becoming a narly rock crawling, road eating, river swimming monster. Or somewhere in between. God bless, Merry Christmas, and a wonderful New Year! (And, may the mythical gods of Jeep, Willys and AMC smile upon your adventure.😉)
Tj is quintessential jeep. They are definitely my favorite. Look forward to the jeep build videos. Glad to see a stock one starting fresh for modifications
Score!
Can’t wait, I’m have a 2000 Sahara first green exactly the same condition as this. Bought it once I saw your blue tj
Looks great lots of potential. Good luck with it!
Great new TJ. I really like that color.
So happy for you brother! Good looking TJ! Excited to see it on IG and RUclips and see what all you do with it. Merry Christmas back at ya! 🙏🏼👍
Like you, I have been searching for a set of these wheels for years. Finally found a set for my TJ. Could you tell me what valve stems you are using? Full rubber? Full metal? Metal & rubber combo?
Awesome. Thanks Bro.
Fantastic. I just picked up an F-150 Platinum with the same issue. Thanks for showing me how to access the running board controls in the system as well. I will try this fix tomorrow.
Happy to help!
When I did my 4.6L stroker a few years back, I first worked out what I wanted and then acquired all the parts over about 10 months or so prior to getting it built by a reputable engine builder. Doing it this way, I knew all the parts were quality and the it just came down to the engine builder doing a quality job. Price wise it cost me a little more because buying aaa quality parts is not cheap. I’ve had my 2005 TJ since buying it near new well over 15 years ago and it’s the one vehicle I will never sell.
These look exactly like the injectors I got from Injector Planet's eBay store (and paid a whole lot less for), which I also don't believe to be genuine "Bosch" parts (just like the ones in this video). There are also much better things to lube the O-rings with than petroleum based Vaseline.... Where is your heat shielding on the intake manifold...? 🤔
I’m confused as to what exactly the point of this comment is. How exactly have you contributed to the RUclips community? So you bought injectors that “look” like mine but for a whole lot less. Ok? And what would you lube the o-rings with, good old fashioned spit? And the heat shielding is off due to the job that’s being done-it is a DEI heat shielding kit, but you probably found one that looks like it on eBay much cheaper 🙄
I went with rc4wd rhino 1.9 rims with rc4wd 4.19inch GoodYear tires.
But, after taking a second look and doing some research, I've decides to go with the same rims but use the 4.75 Goodyears. Thanks for making this video. :)
Thanks for the video! I am considering the same engine how has it been running the last couple years? Any issues?
You got beat. Newcomer racing builds the best 4.0 strokers
Mighty brave running that winch cable in with no gloves.
It’s synthetic rope, not cable. I also don’t have dishpan hands, so there’s that.
Caden ain’t listening to you!
Be careful! Ha!
I would have just built the purple one!!!!
