    Hate the loss of the TT but the new one is a nice looking unit.

    Good people have a positive outlook, even when they hit a big bump in the road. I love your attitude, that will carry you far in life. I'm 68 and my wife and I are in our 47th year of a happy marriage. Only because we always look at the positives. Great content! 😊

    Don’t get all the hate on cable slides. I have one that has cables and have not had an issue at all. Even if a cable snaps it’s not difficult to change and adjusting if needed is not bad either

    Crazy wrecker lol; congrats on the new TT; Personnaly would never buy a TT with a cable slideout. They're the cheapest and the worst in the industry. I have had to deliver many to get repaired simply from the cable snapping and the slidout collapsus when cables go bad. Other then that it's really nice TT.

    Glad it all went well. Who did your electrical work? Couldn't resist as a fellow electrical contractor from eastern NC. Opened doors in 96. Nice camper brother. Best of luck in your business too.

      I did, I’m a licensed electrical contractor in South-Central PA. My dad started the business about 40 years ago, crazy how time flies! Be safe 👍🏻

    I had that same Lippert track slide mechanism. It was a nightmare. Something cause it to bind up when it was hot out and it would not retract. I replaced the motors and that didn’t fix the issue.

    • @65SEEJAYFIVE
      @65SEEJAYFIVE  4 месяца назад

      You can bypass the synchronizer or whatever it’s actually called. If one side moves faster than the other causing a bind, it stops. It’s down in the bottom left corner of the slide inside.

    your wrong on the motors. there are only two motors . one on each side with a drive shaft from top to bottom rack. there is a set screw holding motor in if you peel back the weather strip on top both sides and motor comes out

  • @FlawedOffroad

    That’s crazy that amount of damage totals it. But I can see how it would be a royal pain to fix that slide

    • @65SEEJAYFIVE
      @65SEEJAYFIVE  4 месяца назад

      The damage doesn’t look near as bad on video. It was over $6,000 just for new slide motors and tracks, no labor. Then there’s the whole new slide, metal, decals, windows, squaring up wall framing…It all added up quick, wasn’t my decision.

    So why would the insurance company upgrade you to a bigger and better trailer for no reason or without additional cost

    • @65SEEJAYFIVE
      @65SEEJAYFIVE  4 месяца назад

      They didn’t, all the insurance company payoff did was satisfy the loan. I went out and bought the new camper with the extra cost coming out of my pocket.

    Anyone who bought a New RV between 2020 and 2024 model year is not smart. Across the Rv industry it was fraught w quality control issues. Yes every manufacturer suffered from lack of staff, materials and everything in between. I do know what 8m talking about as to date I’ve owned over 31 RVs. Right now I have a 5 slide toy hauler 5th wheel 40’ and for shorter jaunts a 34’ travel trailer. During the pandemic Rv buyers overpaid for junk Rv’s nuff said

    • @65SEEJAYFIVE
      @65SEEJAYFIVE  4 месяца назад

      So, if you had your 40' toy hauler parked in your driveway with the slides out/set up because you were emptying the camper from a trip, and a box truck plowed into one of your slide outs without stopping, it wouldn't do any damage to your camper because you bought one before 2020?? What does that have to do with anything? Your toy hauler was not made to withstand a freight liner box truck plowing into it. But I'm "not smart" because I bought a camper to make memories with my family at the "wrong time" ? My financial situation has nothing to do with this video.
