Thanks, Maria. I'd go back and perfect the front bodice. One thing ...? I have always believed that the arcs in the front and back, should be taken differently. I've mentioned this in a comment before, bu-t I do appreciate your efforts at precision in contours on the body. A take away from this video...? How I'd construct my shoulder dart. Question; Do I need to put a dart as well in the front block? It looks like it should have. Waiting for a guide from you.
Hi Maria, Thank you so much for the clear instructions to correct the under arm and side seam issues. I spotted that link when I pulled up the bodice videos to watch again. I'm eager to put your concepts into practice.
Hello Stitchknit Sorry I haven't had a chance to finish the back instructions yet. Of course I'm also wanting to redo the whole video with the corrected instructions. Unfortunately I have been rather unwell for quite some time now. I'm on my way back to normal I hope, and will soon be able to get back to making videos.
I have watched your videos several times and am excited to try out the bodice. I already have the pants ebook & love it. I keep checking to see if the bodice ebook is up. I am so eager to make a new bodice block using your instructions, but starting and stopping the video is a pain.
Hi Stitchknit I may have already mentioned to you that I've been out of action for a couple of months due to ill health. I have such a lot to do and hope and at this point I'm unsure when I'll be able to finish the Pants Book, the updated videos and the pattern instructions that people are waiting on. Sorry.....
@@Dresspatternmaking So sorry to hear about your health challenges, Maria. Bu-t can you consider adding a bit of Acupressure (simple finger Point massage), to your health Care? It's super in helping the body try to build up Health. Wish I could help, but I'm lost in what it is all about. I run therapies for people, basically with Acupressure, etc. Wishing you speedy recovery.
Hi Gagandeep There was mistake in the video I uploaded on Sunday. In RUclips you can't just correct videos, I had to remove the previous one and upload the one with the changes. In the title it does say 'Amended 23April 2021". I did also write in the Video Description that it was a 'corrected version', but I don't think people read the description. I have done some research and I think if I have to do this again on another video, I might be able to say "don't advise subscribers on the release of the video".
Hi Maria, I am drafting the bodice block from your size chart-20. At the shoulder measurement, is dart measurement included? I am anxiously waiting for the E-book
Hi Sonia. The problem with drafting the block with the chart size 20 on my website is that those measurements do not give the Bust Arcs. Regarding your question regarding the shoulder dart - the measurement chart gives body measurements. Things such as darts and ease are added when drafting. Re: Booklets: Now that I have these Bodice videos up, the booklets are next on the list, but I am actually starting with the Pants Booklet first.
Hi Petras, Sorry for the late reply. Most bodice block making instructions are for drafting a Bodice Block with Sleeves, and I need to explain how that contains some pitfalls and why drafting a Sleeveless Block makes more sense. I do find it hard not to go into details, that's just how I am.
Hello Glitzy, it is possible if your Waist measurements is larger than your Upper Bust Measurement. Or, even if your Waist is smaller than your Upper Bust Arc, but your Upper Bust Arc Back is proportionally much smaller than your Front. If that's the case you could distribute the waist measurement proportionally to match the proportion of your Upper Bust Arc Front/Back. Does that make sense? If it doesn't, let me know your Upper Bust Arc Front & Back measurement, plus your waist measurement.
@@Dresspatternmaking Hi Maria,I’m new to sewing. So I can understand only a little. I have watched hundreds of videos before. But your way looks more professional. I am eager to learn. I have sent you an email with my measurements as I was not comfortable commenting on RUclips. I hope to get your email and proceed successfully.
@UCRzDn2BK3EYLXoBQwb8v-yg Hi Glitzy, that’s OK... You’ll go out 0.75 inch beyond point D. Once you add the ease at the end you will find that it will work out. This is something I should have thought about and mentioned innthe instructions.. adding the ease at the end does mean that this will be an issue for some.

I got confused when you started taking on both sleeved and sleeveless, together.
I felt one would have been treated differently from the other.
Fresh understanding gotten, today.
Thanks Maria.

Hi Maria, I always hear that the back armhole should be larger than the front, is that correct?

Nit sure how all those letters ended up in there, and I can’t seem to edit that comment on my ipad.
