This game is such a gem. Charactera, gameplay, story, dat epic ending...all of it. Such a shame it's not that popular and a lot of people stop playing after defeating Kali. I don't think i ever played a game with such a strong emotional impact. Holy sh!t.

Usually I find it quite lazy in media when they make a character sacrifice them self but it then turns out they're alive. but I'm too emotionally attached to kat to even care.
I didn't think about it then, but with kat becoming a Singularity and having the Power of a God literately bestowed to her... she is probably like Gade and the others now. She has offically replaced the god who could have done something but was helpless to act properly. I guess Kat will no longer be a main character because she is a Singularity now. Bound to the Darkness that is trying to purge the world. It's a very sad ending but atleast Kat can still see her friends. I only cried because I thought she was gone forever.
I know this comment is 4 years old, and spoiler warning I suppose, but I think the black haired Kat we saw in the glass area Gade and Cyanea sent Raven and Kat to was the Kat that became the singularity and the god you mentioned, going back in time and space to help her past self and Raven overcome their problems and come back. If you think about it as well, if she did become a singularity and subsequent god/creator, she would have the ability to control space and time since she's a black hole, both work very differently around black holes, and who knows what's possible inside of one, so I think you're right about her replacing the god that could have done something and actually did something to help or make a change.

So my theory is that by sacrificing her physical form and becoming a singularity Kat became one of the creators, responsible for keeping gravity in balance. That is what I like to think anyway.
A lot of people, almost everyone believes Kat is still alive, and for the most part even I believe it, but I still don't think that's what the ending is implying. It was stated by one of Creators that Kat and Raven were also like the deity Electricitie who can create Astral Protections that are capable of even touching physical objects. I think what it could mean is, for the third game, we might start off playing as Raven and Kat, while at the start will still be a singularity, will be like Electricitie, using an Astral form to communicate with Raven and offer her help and guidance while Raven and Syd are looking for ways to free Kat from her current situation. I don't think the third game will have us starting off playing as Kat, otherwise doing so would undercut Kat's sacrifice, since she's just gonna come right back anyways. I feel like if the game's creator wants such a moment to have real weight and to matter, Kat's return needs to be worked for and earned, not just a given.

My review in GR 2 Story 5/10 Gameplay 7/10 Control 4/10 Character 9/10 (Include voice) Graphics 10/10 Experience 10++/10 The result was Charming, its really really charming, they did fantastic job on creating an very unique experience and colors and absolutely love it. The story maybe little bit clumsy yet barely understandable. And the ending is just really really hurt my heart the most. Once you complete the story you pretty much moving on from the game...I just want more experience from this and I almost cried when I realized this was the end of the series. ( Same feeling from Nier Automata ending but deeper ). I just wished they put way more of side mission and add some endgame content to make satisfaction for....us player. Im gonna miss you Kat...

DLC story has been announced for Raven. Ending the Gravity Storms was the end of it and now we know Syd controlled all the Black Navi. Since the problem is over and Syd no longer needs to make Kat stronger, there is no reason for the story to continue. I think DLC should be the last. This ending is flawless.
Raven has never been the type of girl to wear her emotions on her sleeves. It's always tucked within a hardened shell, so I really enjoy the moment when that shell opens up just a little bit. Because when it does, the one sentence 6:53 carries so much weight to it. It's essentially the I'm ok/not ok moment.
part of me wonders if the image we see at the end of the credits is kat and raven merged into their true self. the version you see with the black hair. only a kat shaped shadows can be seen.. hmmmmmmm...

This game was beyond! Omg. Loved it. Just like the first one. But... Was I the only one with FPS issues? Also camera, what a head ache. Other than that. Masterpiece.
I really love what they did with Raven in this game. I will say that I would have preferred Gravity Rush 3 revolving around her and the eventual return of Kat, ie, Raven being the main character, but I get why they didn't go that route.
I'm not necessarily sure that's the case. I think it's more likely they were somehow the same being at some point. There's no 100% proof of this, but there are a couple moments in 2 that seem to imply such a thing.
For now while we wait for gravity rush three and the PlayStation 5 to be revealed play fortnite for now because I'm enjoying the heck out of the game with lots of content updates apparently we have chapter 2 already and I'm at season 2 of chapter 2 of fortnite
worth the wait especially on ps4 this time, loved the first one on vita. Am i the only one who thinks this ending was kinda... odd? I mean, think about it; when Raven turns around she smiles and says "Kat" but it sounds kinda cut out. Then, in the last picture of the credits we see a shadow of Kat, only Kat, implying she's standing alone. So after that scene you would expect to see both Raven and Kat reunited but... no? She's all alone? Where's Raven? I don't mean to ruin the happy ending that people had tought but i have the theory that Kat might have changed when she turned into a singularity, and in a bad way.

Wow I didn't expect to hate this ending so much. This is the last GR game and they end it on a cliffhanger. We don't even find out in what way Kat is still alive. Is she a mortal or a God? I just wish they wouldn't have ended Kat's story with more questions than answers. This is just poor writing.

And amidst a pletora of downer endings, it felt refreshing having a "happily ever after" kind of closure with Gravity Rush. I know it's Kat, I know she's alive, Raven wouldn't make that ( 8:00 ) expression for anyone else but Kat. Period.

NokMok I think HZD and persona 5 endings had a more emotional impact on me personally but this was a great but ambiguous ending

Sorry. I don't think so. The story is complete and over with now. Gravity Rush 2 must be the last in the franchise. It's probably best this way.
DLC story has been announced for Raven. Ending the Gravity Storms was the end of it and now we know Syd controlled all the Black Navi. Since the problem is over and Syd no longer needs to make Kat stronger, there is no reason for the story to continue. I think DLC should be the last. This ending is flawless.
Well, the developers say this is the end of Kat's story.
Raven has never been the type of girl to wear her emotions on her sleeves.
It's always tucked within a hardened shell, so I really enjoy the moment when that shell opens up just a little bit.
Because when it does, the one sentence 6:53 carries so much weight to it.
It's essentially the I'm ok/not ok moment.
part of me wonders if the image we see at the end of the credits is kat and raven merged into their true self. the version you see with the black hair. only a kat shaped shadows can be seen.. hmmmmmmm...
If they're going to make it so obvious that Kat's back, why make it ambiguous at all?

Because it gives a line into the next stage of the story while giving us some closure; it's actually incredibly considerate of the writers if you ask me.
This game was beyond! Omg. Loved it. Just like the first one.

I really love what they did with Raven in this game. I will say that I would have preferred Gravity Rush 3 revolving around her and the eventual return of Kat, ie, Raven being the main character, but I get why they didn't go that route.

I'm not necessarily sure that's the case. I think it's more likely they were somehow the same being at some point. There's no 100% proof of this, but there are a couple moments in 2 that seem to imply such a thing.
Being able to play az raven is the only reason im getting the game. I lover her ever since Kat met her.

worth the wait especially on ps4 this time, loved the first one on vita. After beating the game and seeing everything revealed, it makes me wonder, will there be a 3rd one after everything that just happen, I mean I know the "nephew" is still alive some where and if there will be a 3rd one, do you guys think will play Kat and Raven again or a completely different character with his or her own gravity guardian? There could be new worlds to explore again to keep it fresh and maybe explore the old worlds again. Let me know what you all think?

Their baby isn't a year old, it would have been in the womb for a little while during the time Kat was gone, so it's probably 6-8 months old which seems pretty standard size imo

Am i the only one who thinks this ending was kinda... odd? I mean, think about it; when Raven turns around she smiles and says "Kat" but it sounds kinda cut out. Then, in the last picture of the credits we see a shadow of Kat, only Kat, implying she's standing alone. So after that scene you would expect to see both Raven and Kat reunited but... no? She's all alone? Where's Raven?
I don't mean to ruin the happy ending that people had tought but i have the theory that Kat might have changed when she turned into a singularity, and in a bad way.

But also at the very end of this game also 7:55 when I heard that meow noise I got that chill same thing with the post credits for Titanfall 2 where Jack's helmet blinks erratically but that noise Jack's helmet is actually a Morse code that actually reads Jack you see in my opinion it feels like a copy and pasted ending of Titanfall 2

Wow I didn't expect to hate this ending so much. This is the last GR game and they end it on a cliffhanger. We don't even find out in what way Kat is still alive. Is she a mortal or a God? I just wish they wouldn't have ended Kat's story with more questions than answers. This is just poor writing.
asimb0mb they set it up for a next game but we have to give better support and wait for ps5 to come out so they can mess with new technology

And amidst a pletora of downer endings, it felt refreshing having a "happily ever after" kind of closure with Gravity Rush.
I know it's Kat, I know she's alive, Raven wouldn't make that ( 8:00 ) expression for anyone else but Kat. Period.
