There's this person that the people of Hekseville believe in. A young woman full of light and life. She came to them like a perfect storm; quietly at first then all at once all looked to her in awe and wonder. She was a stranger to them for the longest time; well-meaning most often, kind foremost, her chaotic methods and manner usually leaving someone in a better place than she would find them. Whether they were willing to admit it or not- She helped them. Everyone of them. In ways both unseen and dramatic. She would come and go over the years, at once here and then not here to often to count, but her presense was always felt. No matter how fast the attension of the masses would move on to the next frivilous goings-on, her name would echo across the city. The Hero of Heksville. The Gravity Queen. The Young Lady with the stardust cat. She was always there when they needed her. She would dethrone the corrupt, judge the unjust, holding fast to a pure heart as she fought for providence- even in the most darkest times. There's this person that the people of Hekseville believe in. They call her a Hero. The Gravity Queen. Maybe she thinks that person isn't real. Maybe she's just trying to do the right thing. But as the city sings her song, as the people she cares about cry out her name, as all the hopes and dreams of a world so damaged are rested on her shoulders, she knows they believe in the woman named Kat. And she believes in that person too!
Notice when everyone in Hekseville is singing, they only sing the first verse. The reason they know the song in the first place is because of Kat's impromptu concert, where she was only able to sing the first verse before the soldiers interrupted. In the last idol sidequest, a pair of Gravity Queen fans even tell Kat that they saw a recording of her performance and loved it. A faded memory of her time in Eto, one she cared about so much that it was the first thing she remembered of it, ended up being the thing that saved her, and all of Hekseville in turn.
One of the best games I've had the pleasure of playing. I don't need another game or extra DLC but I do wish more people know about the Gravity Rush games.
I'm not lying if I say that I REALLY cried with this... idk, this hit me so hard that I didn't expected it, what a great game. And what a shame that probably we're not getting the third one.
So a dude who uses Kat as his profile pic told me it was the 5 year anniversy of this game's realise. As a result i had to come back here and try not to cry all over again(i didnt cry the first time but i came so damn close i had to use Power Rangers to keep me from doing it)
If anyone didn't hear the good news yet. We're getting a Gravity Rush Movie. They heard are pleads. Not only that, but Keiichiro Toyama has stated in an interview they he wants ri bring the Gravity Rush games to PC. And make a 3rd game for the franchise. Look it up and you'll see what I'm talking about. They got a video on RUclips talking about it.
Unfortunately, this is the only game made by Japan studio is the last ever going to see unfortunately, we are never going to get another gravity rush game, because Sony shut down the studio, who made gravity, rush and knack as well is gone forever well well, except for team of Sobey, because Sony moved to California to prioritize, bigger franchises, while gravity rush, days gone and concrete Genie left to die in Sony skeletons while the western Studios, as well as their Europe subsidiary gets beneficial treatment.
There is a video on this from RUclipsr yongyea on why Sony is pursuing blockbusters, but this was a report back in 2021 ruclips.net/video/fK0v6E5F728/видео.htmlsi=95vetjvWaGlwwgZI
It seems like we are going to get a movie and there is a chance to get Gravity Rush 2 remastered so not all of it is lost, and at least we got to see the end to Kat journey
The ending when the civilians are singing always hits me hard in the feels

2:23 If hearing a little girl singing when all hope seems lost doesn't help restore faith in your heart, then you just ain't human.

Sir….. they’ve begun to sing
While that final chapter was a 10/10 the rest of the game was like filler in an anime
I agree, but that's what made the ending and Kat's "journey" hit as good as it did
hey there how ya doing mate.
2:10 what side mission was this?
flow my tears, the man said
that’s what I think the mission is
The very last mission. Its a story mission not a side.

After you’ve “finished” the game, you have to go back and talk to the glowing woman. She’ll lead you to the last chapter.
