Do you do remote color consultation’s? I have a Terra Cotta roof and flag stone on the walkway. I like the creamy/off whites for the base color. I have white vinyl windows. I have a three car garage facing the street, assume I would paint the garage doors the color of the house. Please let me know if you are able to do a remote consultation. Thank you
Great job. I really like how far you analyzed all these colors, when one is looking for the right white, this is really what is needed. Thank you so much!
This video came at the right time, my house is facing east, the back is west, I was thinking using simply white, and paint the front door black and the gutters, not sure which black color yet. Now I am not sure which white to use lol. Thank you for the information. Definitely need help now
I have throughly enjoyed your videos and you are great at what you do. They are so educational. I would love to schedule a color consultation. We are repainting our exterior and would like your advice.
Love this, thank you! But what trim color goes best with Balboa Mist and Shoji White? Or do you recommend the same color for a more monochromatic look?
I love Swiss coffee for interiors. It can be a bit too much of a bright white color on the exterior, depending on the amount do shade your home receives.
Thanks for your video. I'm choosing white paint colours for my exterior. I love all your suggestions. I have a traditional tutor home and want a layered white and white look. Can the body be a lower LRV and the trim be a different lighter white. Also, can I do warm whites for a south east facing home? I've read that this exposure should have cooler colours. Thank you!
I suppose you could layer whites, but the freshest option will be to choose a white that you carry on the trim, too. Changing sheens helps, as the higher the sheen the more light it reflects. There's too many variances to say yes this will work all the time. The paler cream/off-white you go, the weirder it will look to have a true white trim color.
Great video and explanation! We are about to merge into restoring our home because we found the original wood siding under the ugly vinyl. Any recommendations? Our house faces east. We don’t want the white to look beige but we are also scared of the white looking like a primer. We are looking into Alabaster, White Dove, Snowbound, Simply White
What is the white on your wainscoting behind you in this video? You inspired me to use Newberg Green on my Kitchen island. Your wall turned out stunning!! Thank you so much!❤
I think this color combination has an expiration date that is fast approaching. If you love it, go for it, though. I would probably go a bit darker and use a body color like shoji white.
Your videos are the best and so informative. Good timing too. I just painted my exterior sw Tempe Star with pure white trim. Stopped the trim because it looks completely stark. I’m thinking oyster white or city loft
Thanks! I have seen deep blue exteriors with both true white trim and with more of a cream trim. Both look good, just a matter of what your preference is.
Possibly. Hard to make a recommendation without seeing it. You need to also consider your other fixed elements on your home, as china white might not be the right white.
Ive picked my outdoor house color but need a trim color- a lot of trim on the house. Please help! Which of the creamy whites will work with SW foggy day? Thanks for your help! Painting this week. 😮
I truly enjoyed your video and thought you had many helpful tips. We have a warm brown/red brick and I thought I wanted a gray and went with essential gray and it is way too gray and not warm enough for the brick. Is there a "white" that you would recommend from your experience. The window trim is a taupe color. Thanks for any advice. Thanks
my home is in an area in the mountains the gets a lot of snow so I need a white that won't look dingy in the snow - I'm liking the china white by Benjamin Moore but wondering if you have other suggestions that would stand up with a lot of fresh white snow?
I put new siding on my north facing house in Certainteed natural clay. We also have a warm stone around our door and lower half of the house. The garage door and front door are white and window trim is white. I need to brighten up the siding. Are you able to suggest a shade of Sherwin Williams white that would look good on shutters?.
My house has a black roof, front face is red brick with baby blue siding on both sides. I hate the brick and want to stain it white with black shutters.. Any suggestions? Please
Loving your videos & getting ready to paint our exterior! Balboa Mist is the closest of these video options that may work with our stacked stone but still might be too light for me. Do you have any warm neutrals, just a bit deeper, that you love more in the LRV 50's range? Also, our neighbor's house is white. So far, SW Shitake is the closest I've found but it's a little yellow for me. Love the warm grays or greige. Any help would be great and so appreciated.
OOOO, what white or off white would go with iron Ore Trim? The Barn is Iron Ore on the property so the house will eventually have the same trim. We have been searching for a Sherwin Williams soft white to complement the Iron Ore barn and eventually trim.
For a classic look, I love pairing iron ore with sw shoji white. If you want a more modern farmhouse look you can try china white, white dove or alabaster.
What’s the best color for brownish-red roofs and the neighborhood houses in warm, neutral browns/ earth colors? What is a good combination for the brownish-red roof; we can’t decide on the color of everything, like the door, window trims, and the gutters. We aim to make our “the smallest house in the neighborhood” more appealing and charming but with a modern farmhouse feel.
Our home is surrounded by Tall evergreen trees. If one of the suggested paints have a green undertone, will that make the green in the paint come forward? The back of our home is in bright sun but the front is shady most of the day.

I lover her calming and informative style. I have learned so much in the last 2 videos.
I don't. She needs to stop the vocal fry. It is like fingernails on a chalkboard

Love Behr Swiss Coffee for inside. Soft, warm and creamy.

Hi there! All of those colors will read true white outdoors. You likely want a color that’s a shade darker to achieve the look you’re going for.
@ Maybe stay between 75-80 LRV??
Hi, I need to pick a paint color by Thursday. Could I get a paint consultation please. 🙏🏼 Ty!
What trim color should go with the shoji white

Thanks! It’s BM white dove

Thank you for your answer!! I was wondering the same thing. 🙂
@@homelikeyoumeanit Thanks again. ❤️❤️
What do you think of Sherwin Williams Ivory Lace for a brighter exterior with Iron Ore gutters and garage doors?

Would you do China White on a western exposure exterior?
Possibly. Hard to make a recommendation without seeing it. You need to also consider your other fixed elements on your home, as china white might not be the right white.

That’s our situation. In a mountain town and so it snows here. Don’t want to worry about a dingy look.
Great video! Do you have a white trim colored that would go with Sherwin-Williams peppercorn for the exterior of my home?
Sure do...SW High Reflective White.
Is it an optical illusion or do the colours that pop up on the left all look the same with a very light pinkish tinge?
may be hard with the computer, but even my most skeptical clients can tell me the undertone when they order different colors and compare!
Hi! What are your thoughts on Pacer white for exterior paint?
I like that color. It is a taupe, just FYI!

Which white goes well with gray
You have to determine the undertone in your gray first. Is it green, blue or purple?

Dang
A day late and a dollar short lol
Thanks for the much needed information. So next time I paint I won’t stress out so much lol
Oh no! But now you know! The best White exterior colors can be tricky!

You shouldn't have a problem!
I'm confused by the pink swatch shown before each color
I'm now noticing the color did something funky there. That's the color drop that I'm talking about at the moment.
Do you use the same color white you choose for the house exterior on the exterior trim?
Yes! The sheen will change though!
❤
Thanks for watching!

Hi there! You’re going to want to sample a lot of the pale Greiges and beige colors that I called out!
