  • Are you looking for the best barbecue sauce ever? Then you're in luck! In this video, I'm sharing with you a cannable recipe for the best barbecue sauce ever.
    Here's the link to the recipe: www.gimmesomeo...
    A single batch makes about 1.5 pints, the perfect amount to add to my Brunswick Stew recipe. In this video, I'm making a double batch in order to can 6 half pints for the pantry shelf.
    You will love this!
    xoxo,
    Carter

    Wow, i like this channel! There's no noisy, lengthy intro, which is a waste of my time. This lady is straight up, no BS, gets to the point without fakeness. All that, and she has a pleasant voice (no upspeak or vocal fry or fake high pitch voice)...and... a great recipe!

    This truly is the best BBQ sauce. I multiplied the recipe x 3 and added a bit of cloves to duplicate our favorite sauce and it was spot on. Then I made the recipe x 4 without cloves and will use some of that in the Brunswick Stew tomorrow. Thanks for sharing the sauce recipe.

    • @JudyLaquidara
      @JudyLaquidara 8 месяцев назад

      @@KillerSmurfy I started with 1/2 tsp. and tasted it, then sprinkled a bit more in several times. I'd recommend starting with less than you think you need and adding more if wanted. I ended up adding almost a full teaspoon but we love cloves.

    Hi Carter, new to your channel. Wow! Thanks for introducing this sauce, and the Brunswick Stew! I was looking to see if I could can brunswick stew and found a few ppl before finding you. Well one was like water, and the other had too many condiments added to it for me. I have a hubby is has become allergic to most foods, including eggs and anything with MSG in it. So I have to be mindful of my ingredients. I had to make the worstershire sauce to make this BBQ sauce recipe! So thanks. I am looking forward to using this on many dishes. Welcome, red wolf! So glad you made the bbq sauce work for you. Hopefully the Brunswick Stew will as well. Food allergies and intolerances can make simple things so much more difficult, can't they? I can't have any dairy at all. After 7 years away from eggs, I was finally able to reintroduce them successfully, but dairy may always be a no-go. It sounds like you have been able to adjust for him quite well. Happy to have you here!

    I made a double batch of this bbq sauce last night & cannot wait to use it in Brunswick stew! But I cannot find the presto canner I was gifted a decade ago…so looks like it’s time to invest in an all American. It’s just me and the hubby, and my stove has a microwave above it that keeps me from opening the lid on my Ball water bath canner when it’s pushed back over 2 burners…will I have trouble with height on the all American 21.5 qt? I would like to be able to can quarts even if I have to buy an outdoor propane setup!

    • @growandpreserve
      @growandpreserve  10 месяцев назад

      Can't wait for you to try the Brunswick Stew, Vicki! When I use my friend Christine's 21.5 qt AA, I find it pretty tall. We both have to stand on our toes to see into it. At home, I have the 15.5 qt. It will hold 7 quart jars, or 10 reg mouth pints or 8 wide mouth pints. Here's the one I have: amzn.to/3F4Cig0. One other option you may want to consider is the Presto Electric Pressure Canner. I also have this one, and I totally love it. Here's the Amazon link: amzn.to/46mwlHi. It only holds 5 quarts at a time though (or 8 reg mouth pints or 7 wide mouth pints). Here's the review I did on it, if it interests you at all: ruclips.net/video/Ex-hu7zbZYQ/видео.html. Hope that helps! Let me know what you decide.

    Hi Carter. I was watching your pantry challenge video and noticed y’all do keto. So I started searching for a video of yours to see if you can with stevia. I’m seeing here you do. What about things like jellies and jams? We don’t do sugar and I don’t make so many recipes for canning due to the high sugar content. I do have the low sugar pectin but still would love to see if stevia or even erythritol is usable. Thanks!!

    • @growandpreserve
      @growandpreserve  Год назад +1

      Hey, Mel! Happy to have you here! I use Allulose with jams and jellies, along with Pomona's Pectin. It is heat stable and works very well. It has brought jams, jellies and chutneys back into my pantry! amzn.to/3kuyCNr
      I have several videos using allulose. Here's one that will show you how easily it works. ruclips.net/video/11iZGVx83F4/видео.html
      If I'm doing a recipe that doesn't use pectin or call for brown sugar, I'll often use liquid stevia because it's so easy.

      Have you ever tried Lakanto? That's what I use on Keto, but I've not canned with it. It's supposed to be the "one" that doesn't make your body react just like it does on sugar. I have made my own Sweetened Condensed Milk with it, but again, never canned it. I'll send them an email. Some have made jam with it, so... I'll let you know what I find out.

      Hey, Jody! The current line of thinking is that nutrition, taste, texture and color are generally maintained for at least a year or two. After that, the product may lose some quality, but remains safe until the seal is broken.
