How to make corned beef / Homemade Corned Beef

  • How to make corned beef from scratch is so easy and it doesn't need to be expensive. I'm using the cheap cut of beef.
    Ingredients:
    500 grams beef meat
    2 teaspoons curing salt/curing pink salt/prague powder
    1/4 cup salt
    1 liter water
    1 or 2 tablespoons sugar
    1 to 2 tablespoons whole peppercorns
    Laurel leaf
    3 to 4 crushed garlic cloves
    onion
    a tablespoon of mustard seeds, coriander seeds and other spices you wish to add like cinnamon bark, star anis, etc.

      Yes, you can. I tried it 2 times. I just removed the brining water. Thanks

      Yes i forgot to mentioned in the video but I wrote in the video description that i use the cheap cut of beef. You can use the expensive cuts if you have more budget, there is a little difference in texture. It is a little more juicy since you don't need to cook it longer. In my case, i used more often the cheap cuts. It is better if you try different cuts so you can find what you like better...

      Use brisket if you can afford it

    i dont have 500 grams of beef but I have multiple cuts that weigh the same
    is that ok for cooking?

      Yes, its okay. You can use other cuts. I also do that sometimes...sorry for the late reply, i was on vacation.

    Isn't Chiller not freezer for 10 days brining?

      I always place the meat in the refrigerator when brining...I never experience brining in a chiller but i think it will still work since it is still below freezing point, just colder than the refrigerator. I only freeze the already brined meat if i don't have time to cook it yet, it works too!

      Freezer and chiller are both inside of refregerator. The question is in what place chiller or freezer?​@@DeeinGermany

      @@noelpeniquito207 use your chiller. Sorry I didn't get your question because our ref here has no freezer. Our freezer is separate. Though I work before in Abenson, I forgot that time that there are 2 n 1 ref.

      Syempre I am not like you who is close minded kaya hindi nakakaintindi kahit basic difference ng curing salt and salt or walang alam. Continue being ignorant, its your choice... hindi naman nakakamatay ang pagiging walang alam sa simpleng bagay at hindi naman maka long life ang pagiging smart. Nasa iyo lang talaga yan kung gusto mong may natutunan or hindi.
