Tip from an old chef. If you cant get all the ketchup out, use your wet ingredients. Use that quarter cup of ACV and put it in the ketchup bottle, put the cap on, and shake the ketchup bottle. It'll get all the remaining ketchup out and it doesnt hurt the recipe since the ACV was gonna be mixed in anyhow.
I was thinking the same thing while watching! I have some marinades that use maple syrup and I always use the wet ingredients to clean out the bottles! Now I’m venturing into BBQ sauce and really like this recipe.
I just want to say thank you so much for the recipe for the barbecue sauce. I ran out of barbecue sauce and I had everything that you had mentioned in the recipe and I made it and it is awesome! Thank you again for sharing.
Great sauce. Subbed out the molasses for honey, Used Dijon mustered, added chopped bacon, bourbon, subbed liquid smoke for just putting sauce out in the smoker. used killer hogs rub, Cajon 2 step rub, and ghost pepper hot sauce. Had to use what I had and it turned out great. Thanks for the help!
I made this for my family’s BBQ recently (Pork Sliders, Smoked in the North Carolina Style). It was a great hit, and I was getting all the complements. It’s a great recipe, though some preferred a batch I messed up by packing the Brown Sugar (sweets lovers). Thank you so much!
That’s Awesome Sir! I was reluctant at first on sharing this recipe, but it seems to be getting good reviews. 😎 I’m happy you liked it! Thanks for watching and hopefully for subscribing to my channel. Please share with your friends too😎👊🏼
I made this BBQ sauce and it really went well with not only Pork, but brisket as well! It has an incredible flavor. I added a little Cayenne pepper in a second batch, to add some heat but not change the flavor!!
Experienced with bbq sauce this summer. Most are similar. Made a cherry coke based sweet side with a kick. Reused the ketchup bottle. Funny fails. Tried more molasses seems it was heated too long . Once cooled to turned in a stone. Made a great rub by t/e made smoked paprika in the smoker . Enjoyed you tips . I will incorporate them in my next run .
It took me a while to nail down this recipe. The Gold dust seasoning is the key. You can find it @ SuckleBusters.com You can also get 10% off by using my code RicsBBQ at checkout. Thanks for watching! 😎🍺🍕
Love the sauce! Plus I got a helpful hint for ya, I'm all about helping a brother out. Get some Barkeepers Friend powder and use a couple shakes inside your pots and they will come out looking like brand new. No more of that residue left behind. Learned it from my mom.
Hey Ric! Great video, I'm going to try making this sauce because it looks great. Quick question through, is it 2 cups of ketchup or 4? Because the bottle you used looks to be a 32 oz bottle which is 4 cups of ketchup. Just making sure. Thanks!
If you want to experiment try this. Pretty much everything you are using is my family recipe over 100 years old . except a couple things changed. One whole lemon/ 16 oz. Sauce. 1/2 stick real butter, leave the syrup out and use one 16 oz. Coke a cola. Cook it down about 2 hours stir constantly. After you are finished you will have to CHEW the sauce off your fingers. IT'S Amazing 😊😊😊
Great stuff, greetings from the Netherlands! Hoping to make this, problem is that not all ingredients like the rub and molasses are difficult to get...

Looks like it would be very nice. The rub you put in it,...wondering how it tastes. I have been toying around making a sauce, but my goal is of course to make it taste great, but will little sweetness. Great one Ric, God Bless you Brother!
Sauce looks fantastic, Ric. I'll have to give it a try. Next time you make it, put your vinegar & wash yer sister sauce in the ketchup bottle, shake the crap out of it. That'll help get the maximum amount of ketchup out of the bottle. Great video, brother 👍
