Self-defended tools are no good unless she’s willing to use them. She also must learn to read situations and leave whenever there’s an identified threat. As others have pointed out, learning to trust your instincts is vital.

I’m so glad she shared her story, so other girls/women can learn what situations to avoid. Obviously this is a tragedy, but thank you for sharing so other people can learn and think twice. Strong woman for sharing. And not only sharing her story but being so honest.
It’s a good reason why you don’t go to someone’s house while drinking that you don’t trust. I hate that they can’t press charges, but we either live in a world of innocent until proven guilty, or a world where you’re convicted when accused. That is why you need to protect yourself stay safe. Her story will be a great tool for many teens and I again thank her for sharing so openly and honestly.

The detectives not pressing charges was definitely disgusting and they should have been at least fired but their questions definitely weren't, they have to ask multiple times in order to make sure that when the court day comes his lawyers don't have any reasonable defense.

There have been females that made up way worse rape accusations, medical records can only be specifically released by the patient... she could of been selective over what she released. you gotta understand that even though we might be able to hear what she says, the operator might not. callers are often hysterical, and combined with the static of the phone, it can be difficult to make out what she's saying. she has to repeat her questions to get the answers so she has information to give the emergency services so they know what to expect once they arrive.

Operators are supposed to try to keep those callers on the line and must be absolutely certain of the information they are recvieivijg in can be the difference and decider in future courts cases
