      @@notsoupmoto That was quick 😂 Thanks for giving me some confirmation bias on my future purchases haha. I’ve never ridden a dirt bike before, but have been doing some pretty heavy research in the past month or so and I’m super excited. Probably won’t be anytime soon though unfortunately, I’m finishing up school and only have a part time job so I’m on a “slight” budget. And I’m also building a PC so I’m already $300ish deep in another extremely expensive hobby. Anyway, thank you so much for the videos on the 250F and gear I’m thinking of getting (and also for listening to my Ted Talk)!

      @ ah, have fun! Just don’t be like me and entirely forget peripherals (monitor, keyboard and mouse, speakers if applicable, etc) in your budget; my PC itself will end up around $600 (original budget was $500ish), but I recently realized I need to throw an extra hundred or so for all the other stuff, plus a desk. Also don’t skimp on the non CPU/GPU stuff, can make a big difference. Probably not in performance, at least not at my budget, but definitely in terms of quality; need to watch out for storage devices and power supplies especially (eg, more wattage/storage doesn’t mean anything if it’s junk). I could tell you more but for some professional advice I’ll point you over to Mr Linus Tech Tips haha. Thanks again for the great content!

    All the protective gear is worth it, especially as a beginner. Unless you plan on being a baby and put-putting around at 20mph on fire roads and maintained double track. Then buy a quad

    Hell yeah some good suggestions here! Ever tried the TP199 Knee's? Feel a lot safer on the bike gripping it but still having some protection. Always informative and helpeful to new riders. Love to see it. Cheers pimp.

      @@notsoupmoto It's got that impact foam stuff that is soft and malleable but for impacts is instantly hard makes for good leg bike grip. have had some gnarlyyy spills with em and they save me everytime. I sometimes use the elbow ones too.

    If Im going to be trail riding in the mountains, is ok to get a motorcycle jacket with shoulder back protection and wear that instead of the dirt bike chest protectors? good video thanks!

    • @notsoupmoto
      @notsoupmoto  Месяц назад +1

      Yeah it would probably be comparable. Whatever is comfortable to you that still offers the type of protection you’ll need for the type of stuff you’re riding is fine.
