    Just eat well, sleep well and keep your hair clean and dandruff under control, and your hair will grow a lot. But it is honestly all genetics imo.

      @@yobootyhadmeded3022 Everyone should change their diet up for everything, not just hair. Holistic health is the solution to almost all physical ailments. I buzzed my hair on Jan 15, 2020 and 22 months later I have 2.5-3 inches more length on a coworker who's been growing for 4 years. I eat vegetables, drink water, and take some multivitamins. Hello everyone.
    I have 4C hair and I want to start taking proper care of my hair. I have been making a lot of mistakes in the past which I want to correct. For context, my hair is not too long and barely reaches my eyebrows when stretched. It also has low porosity.
    So, I went and watched some RUclips videos and read some website articles.
    Basically, I've planned a routine for a typical wash day from the information that I've gathered.
    1. Shampoo your hair.
    2. Deep condition your hair for thirty minutes to one hour. Heat can be used.
    3. Rinse it out and use a leave-in conditioner.
    4. Use hair gel if you want.
    5. You can use a light oil like Argon oil to accompany the conditioner.
    Every up there is a routine for the wash day, but what routine can I use for my daily life?
    I don't know how correct everything here is, but I'm still confused about some things.
    1. When is the right time to detangle my hair? Is it when using deep conditioner or when using leave-in conditioner?
    2. How often should I detangle my hair?
    3. How often should I wash my hair and should I only wash my hair with shampoo?
    4. Should I only wash my hair with shampoo?
    5. I intend to deep condition my hair every week since I have dry hair. However, how often should I use a leave-in conditioner?
    6. Should I only use a leave-in conditioner after washing my hair when wet?
    7. Can I use a leave-in conditioner in place of a moisturizer?
    7. Can I leave my hair without washing or moisturising for some days?
    I know it seems long. Please bare with me as I am very confused right now.
    Also, what recommendations do you have for shampoos, deep conditioners and leave-in conditioners? What products should I buy?
    Lastly, any general tips you might have about black 4C hair care would be appreciated.
    Thank you for reading.

      Never detangle your hair dry
      Shampoo once a week
      Deep conditioning once a week
      Put a leave in after you use a deep conditioning. You wash out a deep conditioning and leave in the leave in if that makes sense.

    • @kosaki59

      Do I need to specifically look for a deep conditioner or can I just use the keratin one I have at home?

    • @joeswifey1760
      @joeswifey1760 Год назад +6

      i know im late and you might not need this no more, but i'd like to help!
      Answer to your questions, in numbered order:
      1. When you are detangling hair, it's usally your preference between the two. But some advice I'd give is to choose whatever is thickist, or lathers up more. This is because more thickness means less friction. And since you want to aviod friction while combing your hair (breakage) Thick products are perfect! So simply look at your leave in cond.; look at your deep cond. which one is thicker?
      2. The right time to detangle hair is after a protective style, like braids or twists. While taking it down, gently comb through with leave in conditioner and a wide thooth comb. If you dont have any style in and you have your natural hair out, then once a week or wash day is fine.
      3. You are reccomended to wash hair every 7-10 days. Pick what fits for you, and stick to it. You should use shampoo, but make sure you use your deep or regular cond. Actually, some people opt for a co-wash instead of shampoo (not every wash day however!!!) if they feel their shampoo is a bit too harsh.
      5. You are on track with the deep cond. plan. You should use your Leave in every 2-3 days. Moistirizing your hair a few times a week is cruial for growing hair and making it healthy and shiny and soft.
      6. Yeah! But since you wont be wasing your hair every day, you can spray your hair damp and use your leave in then.
      7. Yes, as they are essentially interchangeable. You could use both though.
      8. Yes, and its actually the reccomended thing to do. Washing or moistirizing the hair everyday is more damaging to the hair than helpful.
      Hope this helped ! im looking at this comment like, damn i've written almost as much as you🤣🤣

    I been growing my hair for 8 months now and my hair like 3.5-4 inches. I got a drop fade, and I literally be doing all the methods but my hair only curls like right in the middle of my hair, not the side. Any tips?

    • @tahir3483
      @tahir3483 2 года назад +4

      product distribution, you need to know your hair and know which areas need extra attention, so ensure that the sides are properly detangled and add enough water and products, and remember that water/moisure is key

    • @xfrederic564
      @xfrederic564 2 года назад +5

      doing a protective style or braids can help make it easier to evenly distribute products and the braid outs or twist outs will always make your curls pop

      everyone in the reply said what i want to say but i would like to add is you need to scrunch and lean your head to the side keep your head moving when drying

    How do you deep conditioning consistently when your hair is already long (like 2 years). If your hair is always braided, would you unbraid it every week to deep condition then braid it back?

    • @skyler.s3331
      @skyler.s3331 2 года назад +6

      Just deep conditioner when ever you unbraid your hair

    • @JoshOkoye
      @JoshOkoye 2 года назад +2

      @@skyler.s3331 what I’m trying to figure out is do you just go ahead and unbraid every week to wash or deep condition or is there a more efficient or easier way. Cuz I know there’s “meeking” or keeping it braids in for as long as you can to help protect and grow but how do you moisturize

    • @JoshOkoye

      @@aj.9host yeah, it’s just only oiling doesn’t moisturize it settle in moisture. If there’s no moisture then you try and seal it’ll still be dry

      @s.r4871 2 года назад

      @@JoshOkoye Well you a moisture mist and then use an oil
      but to answer your question deep condition whenever you take out your braids which a usually for me I take mine out after about 2 and half weeks to 4 weeks at a time depending on how big the braids are and if they have grown out
