I’m on the journey myself. I couldn’t get my hair to curl (curl the right way) until I got better detangling my hair. It curls better now but the shrinkage is real.

Was thinking the same. Looks more like 2 years rather than a year. My hair is probably half the length he has.

I went fron the sponge life, to the low boy (taper fade), to the waves, to the curls, and now locks life. Bril and Jawuan definitely walked me through the curl phase 👑👑👑
Side note: if you want to get volume just wet your hair in the morning, add a moisturizer and a little oil and shaking it.

You won’t swear out the product, don’t worry. If your hair’s loose, then just stick to your regular wash and co-wash days. If braided, workout with a durag on
I'm a highschool basketball player and I train multiple times a day. The product won't sweat out but most the sweat will dry on your hair which isn't very hygienic. U just gotta do a lot of cowashing to keep your scalp healthy, and you will have to use more product than other people who don't have to cowash as much

sometimes that durag helps when its braided or twisted but also some beanies have satin linings in them

Bril how do I keep the curl coils (the curls this guy has) defined i detangle my hair before I apply products but sometimes my hair just curls in a fro instead of coiling I’m going for the style the guy has in the vid other times it would coil but it would friz up immediately I got a trim I just don’t know what to do

you mean oils or hair cream, after you put them in your hair wash it out then add the leave in conditioner, don’t do it too much tho

Ay brill, any tips on product residue? Even when my hair is dry you can still see white stuff in my hair.
You gotta learn how much curl cream to use. You can throw a lot of deep conditioner on but not too much curl cream. You learn whats too much vs what’s not enough. It’s experience bro. And then you’re always growing hair so the right amount is always changing

I’m 8 months In I made a few mistakes (getting a hightop fade) but I’m still on my journey
yeah 3 months in, the barber f'd up my taper so i went with the high fade. now im like at 4 month and my top reaches like almost eyebrow length and the side are starting to catch up slowly
