I just got conrows done my hair is on 8 months of growth I got a tapered hairline and my wash day is once a week but not consistent give me a tip on how to make them last for a month! And also my hair type is between 3a-3c

Bril try not to have styles like barrel twists as of yet, it could mess up ya locs and make dem deformed, i have starter locs rn and the loctocisn told me not to do that‼️and how many locs do u have?
I wash, deep condition, steam then style (braids or two strand) at the the beginning of each month

1.) Wash hair in distilled water no tap water
2.) Sunlight exposure to hair for 2-5hrs a day ; or get infrared light hair at from Amazon $400-700
3.) Vitamin D Whole Foods like Oranges , Mushrooms and etc
4.) Grounding Mat from Amazon best blood flow material for $30-40. Not medicine
5.) Hair steamer from Amazon the big boy one for $120-130. Blood flow will go to scalp and will get up to 120F on head pores will open and natural oil will appear .

Ive been getting hair blow dried since 5 yrs old. Stretched hair helps retain length because it reduces single strand knots, excessive detangling, and seals in moisture from the heat when correct products are used. Only blow dry wet hair that has dried 20-30% never fully dry hair. It is the method, tools, and frequency that can cause damage. Maybe alternate methods if concerned like ponytail holders to stretch the hair and sit under a hooded dryer. Air drying causes more brittleness for some people

Aside from piling your scalp, what products did you use to moisturizer your braids ?
i dont really moistrize my braids becasue i try to only keep them for 30 days at the longest, i ALWAYS slept with a durag neatly secured so it never really got dry

Your hair shiuld definitely be moisturized when you do a blowout! You should never apply heat to dry hair. You should get that blowout right after deep conditioned. Like doing a deep condition then absolutely smother your hair in leave in conditioner put a plastic cap on, sleep with it overnight then get the blowout. I PROMISE you, your hair will be happy, healthy and mosturized. Use low heat when doing it too. Guaranteed you gon be on a different level
Every time I ask my stylist to braid my hair without blow drying she always say she gotta blow dry it 🤔
because the work is 10X cleaner and last ten times longer. it was better for me to just not get braids then to not get blow dried

4type hair doesnt like to be wet too much. When you keep wetting it you are opening and closing the cuticles. Be careful from hygral fatigue. When they say hair grows when its dirty they mean they dont constantly wash hair weekly/daily. wash days usually takes a lot of manipulation hence causing less length retention

@@GraciousJ oh they turned out just fine! I have them in rn, and I just did my normal routine of shampooing and conditioning; the main thing is to make sure that your hair is detangled before the appointment so I had them done in big plaits and just took them out for the actual style
