Eudaimonia was a term that Plato used to talk about the state one can get, when his or her attitude is fit with his or her desires!!!
One of the biggest problems I have with interviews is that the interpersonal nature of them can make them awkward or tense. This interview, however, is so well conducted, and truly runs smoothly, giving fantastic knowledge. More people should know about brilliant -and free- resources like University publishing sites and channels, rather than popular knowledge sources which don't always give good results.
Staying motivated, easier said than done, i thought. Til I discovered how to do #mindcardio. 3 step thought process for reprogramming pattern of thinking.
4:22 *”You can’t do everything perfectly”… Srini, that is NOT an excuse for YOU and LYBI MA to have NO IDEA what the word “phenomenon” means. That’s literally like being a 50-year-old, putting your hand on a hot electric stove (WHICH IS CLEARLY TURNED ON BECAUSE IT’S RED AND YOU CAN FEEL THE HEAT COMING OFF OF IT), burning yourself, and when someone asks you what was going through your mind when you did that, your excuse is, “No one’s perfect. Everyone makes mistakes” and not “It was an accident” or “I literally didn’t notice. Things were too hectic in the kitchen and I ended up placing my hand on the stove”. THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I’M TALKING ABOUT WHEN IT COMES TO MAKING THE “MISTAKE” (AS A HARVARD PROFESSOR AND PSYCHIATRIST) OF NOT KNOWING WHAT SUCH A SIMPLE WORD LIKE “PHENOMENON” IS. AND NOT ONLY THAT, BUT FOR SOMEONE TO HAVE REVIEWED IT AND HAVE MADE THE SAME “MISTAKE” YOU DID AND ALLOW THAT “BIOLOGY OF TELEPATHY” ARTICLE TO BE PUBLISHED ON PSYCHOLOGY TODAY.*
*”Trusted advice for a healthier life”. Tell me HOW Srinivasan Pillay not knowing what the word “phenomenon” means and misusing it in his “Biology of Telepathy” article for Psychology Today is making me healthier in any shape, way, or form. DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT PHENOMENON MEANS? PHENOMENA ARE OBSERVABLE FACTS - AS IN THEY ARE REAL AND CAN’T BE ARGUED AGAINST. I haven’t experienced telepathy in a pleasing way so I don’t understand how Harvard Medical School is synonymous with health.*
*I can't believe that Srini Pillay is articulate during this interview, but not when he's writing publications for Psychology Today. I'm still going to hold the fact that he doesn't know what the literal definition for "phenomenon" is. A phenomenon is an OBSERVABLE FACT. How DARE he sit there and call telepathy an OBSERVABLE fact? HOW DARE HE?!*

The studio has a good production equipment/team but the style is too stiff. Its best to relax, talk to each other and not to the camera

*Education and academia has only led me into a dusty rabbit hole of nonsense. It literally hasn’t improved my life in any shape, way, or form.*

*You can tell, just by looking at Srini, that his entire life is dedicated to sadism.*
