A normality test is used to determine whether sample data has been drawn from a normally distributed population. An assessment of the normality of data is a condition for many statistical tests because in parametric testing normal data is an underlying assumption.
This video discuss and describe the available procedure in SPSS to test the data for Normality. Demonstrates how to perform test for normality using SPSS in easy to understandable language . The procedure is based on an examination of histograms, skewness and kurtosis value. Q-Q Pot, Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Shapiro-Wilk tests are also analyzed and discussed.
