What is Rating Scale and when should we use which Rating Scale
Rating scales or attitude scale is close ended survey questions and it is most commonly used type of questionnaire to gather information online or offline from the respondent. There are various types of Rating Scales like Likert scale,Constant Sum scale, Dichotomous scale, Staple Scale, Category scale, Numeric Scale. Rating scales helps us to quantify the abstract concepts.
rating Scales are easy to understand and helps in quick analysis while there are certain disadvantage of these rating scales like these rating scales lacks specificity, there could be an error of central tendency means when respondent is in hurry without giving much thought respondent choose midpoint scale.

What is Measurement Scales and How to choose Measurement Scales
Просмотров 1202 года назад
In statistical analysis Measurement scales or level of measurement are used to define and categorise the variables or numbers. There are four types of Measurement scales namely Nominal Scale, Ordinal Scale, Interval Scale, Ratio scale. these four are fundamental scale and used to capture data using surveys and questionnaire. All survey question scales or rating scales , including Likert, Semant...
Non Probability Sampling Design
Просмотров 622 года назад
Non Probability Sampling Technique is the technique of sampling desig where there all members of population under study do not have equal chances to participate or equal chances of selection. This technique depends on expertise of researcher and mostly used in qualitative analysis. It is most useful for pilot surveys. It doesn't require complete sampling frame hence most easy, fast and inexpens...
Types of Variables
Просмотров 752 года назад
variables are used by the researcher and statistician to describe and measure the items, places, people or ideas under study. Variables are any attributes that can take on different values. Variables can be defined by the type of data (quantitative or categorical) and by the part of the experiment (independent or dependent). A variable that contains quantitative data is a quantitative variable;...
Probability Sampling Design

Probability Sampling Technique is based on the principle of randomization. In Probability sampling technique the researcher choose the sample from population under study based on the theory of probability. In this sampling technique everyone in population under study has equal and known chance of being selected as a sample. Probability sampling is used in conclusive research. It is either restr...

Sample Size Estimation for Finite and Infinite Population
Просмотров 5332 года назад
Sample size estimation plays an important role in research. Sample represents the population. It is responsibility of researcher to choose sample size wisely. Optimal sample size for study assures the statistical significance of study, on the basis of significance of study as research can generalise the results of the study. if researcher fails to estimate the sample size of the given populatio...

This video describes how to check the reliability or internal consistency of latent variable or dimension using spss. Result of the analysis has been discussed in details. Cronbach’s alpha is a measure of internal consistency, that is, how closely related a set of items are as a group. It is most common measurement of internal consistency.

This video analyse the correlation using SPSS and interpret the spss output . correlation is carried out to find out the relationship between variables. Correlation ranges from -1 to 1. if value of correlation is 0 it shows there is no relationship between variables. 1 value of correlation shows that there is perfect positive relationship between variables and -1 indicates perfect negative or i...
