Love videos like this. Get behind the scene, real life, real time input. Great job Matt and thank you Jeff for your insight and time. Hoping for a quick, solid recovery for you.
There are actually a lot of them, Jeff Bridges, great photographer, Lenny Kravitz, Paul McCartney, Brad Pit, if you watched the series "Suits" Patrick Adams"Mike Ross" all the artwork on the walls in Rachel's office were done by Patrick, also the B&W in Harvey's office of the feet on a sidewalk is a shot by Patrick also. There are plenty more.
A few years ago I bought a used thumb grip for my SL from Dan Tamarkin in Chicago. Jeff had previously owned the thumb grip. After using it awhile, apparently some of his DNA seeped into mine and I started to use the phrase "by the way" all the time. Also, I now have to take my glasses off to read up close, AND, I just had back surgery. Thanks a lot, Garlin. You're killin' me.
This was great. Mostly know him from Curb. I picked up one of Jeff Bridges books which I really enjoyed. Looking forward to when Jeff has his available.
Wow, this was so much fun Matt! Thanks for sharing Jeff with us. I would have never known that he was a photo geek like us. Who are you interviewing next? 😅
Environmental lighting is the ambient or available lighting on a location. Ambient lighting, also known as general lighting or mood lighting, is the primary source of light in a room that provides a comfortable level of brightness and a uniform light level throughout the space. It's often created by using a combination of different layers of light from various sources, such as ceiling lights, wall sconces, and floor lamps. Ambient lighting can also come from natural sources, like windows and skylights.
Ambient lighting is different from task lighting or accent lighting because it provides light for the entire room, rather than concentrating light in a specific spot or direction. It's usually softer and gentler than direct lighting.
When using ambient lighting, it's important to balance the lighting to avoid making a room too bright or imbalanced. For example, in a large room, you might want to illuminate a specific location at the front of the room and place a table lamp in the rear corner. You can also choose between warm or cool light, with yellow light appearing warmer and blue light appearing cooler.
Not being mean at all, but does Jeff realize what he has in that Leica MP al carte? Can’t tell if it’s black paint or black chrome. But the M3/4/7 rewind on the MP is really cool. Not to mention rare.
Nice video and nice to see and hear about his takes on photography. Wish the background music would go away. It’s distracting and makes me think Access Hollywood is producing it.
Well this unexpected and delightful appearance of Jeff on Matt's channel has helped get me a bit out of the funk of losing one of my other favorite RUclipsrs Paul this week.
Thanks Matt. Not a criticism, but next time could you include his work (images, published works). Also, how he gets his gigs, how did he get started in photography, paid work etc. I think we are all much less interested in what gear somebody shoots (to me I could care less), it's all about the photographer's work, his images, how good is he really? He seems an extremely interesting dude - I would have loved for him to show his work and discuss his images, for where and when and how he got the shot. Next time perhaps?
@@MrKemosavi Ah - thanks dude. I know he talked about that, but I thought he was also a working pro. Makes sense now. Most working pro's have a couple of beat up bodies and a few well used lenses. This guy looked like a gear fiddling hobbiest, with enough pristine gear to start a Leica shop. As he said, he's done well in life, so I guess he can afford it. Good on him. One of those bodies alone with one of those expensive 35mm lenses, would literally be around $20,000 here in Australia. Think I'll be sticking with my two Z6ii's!
I'm sorry this guy isn't a photographer. He just has access. What a boring video too, couldn't watch even on 2x. I'm not gonna comment on the leica equipment 😴. He was boring as an actor too. Don't be impressed because they tell you something is great... There must be proof.

Love all of this... the photography, the comedy. The best.
Love this series... looking forward to checking out Jeff's photos.
Great to hear mate
I always wanted to know if any actor love photography and in fact an enthusiast one. Glad I'm stumbled upon this video.

Loved seeing Jeff's exhibit in Bellevue. Will need to find out when his photobook is coming out.
I absolutely love Jeff...what a funny guy! Love every minute of what he has to say. Thanks for sharing this great video, Matt...
Looking forward to visiting Jeff’s Leica showroom in New York or L.A. featuring his personal line of cameras and gear when it opens sometime soon!!!
Jeff, you are handsome and wise.
The portrait of Wendi 👌😍
He’s so funny, combine that with access to other celebs & talent behind the lens this made for a very entertaining video!
Favorite video yet. I’m excited to see the book.
I had read some time ago that Jeff shoots Leica - Great interview, Jeff has a some great essentials!
Jeff knows his stuff! Beyond impressed. Hope to run into you randomly for a walk and shoot sometime sir!
What a great video- more like this please!
This was really fun to see. I liked seeing Jeff as a photographer, if that makes sense. Fun to see that side of him.
This was terrific !
Pleasant surprise this. Been listening to the Curb podcast and never had a clue he was into photography!

Some real solid equipment there

Great video!
Dude he is so one of us. Awesome 😂. I’ve always done a killer Jeff impression btw just thought everyone should know

This was pretty, pretty good!
It was a pleasure meeting him in Bellevue
Very nice to learn from someone different.

@@mattgrangerhe is a copy and paste guy. 🤣
Great video. Would be cool to see a Curb BTS photo book.

Jeff's definitely made it. Bi-coastal homes and Leica setups! Great video, now "get the F outta here."
Nice video and nice to see and hear about his takes on photography.

wait what? now that was unexpected.
Hope you enjoyed it!
@@mattgranger yessir. That's a big yes from me.
Great, expensive gear , nice
I was hoping Jeff would pull either a Polaroid or disposable 110 out of his bag. 😉
Very rad
Well this unexpected and delightful appearance of Jeff on Matt's channel has helped get me a bit out of the funk of losing one of my other favorite RUclipsrs Paul this week.
I was wondering if that video chat with Jeff would turn into something 😊
Good memory!
Great video, retire the series now, it's only downhill from here. What a great guy and love that gear.

You do realize his career is not photography. It's acting. Photography is his hobby.
Some of his images are included in the video ,and there is a link to his exhibition in the description :)

Greetings to Jeff, if he has problems with his back and neck, he might consider to consult Dr. Alex Tubio, The Aligned Clinic, Houston/TX
Just watched The Goldbergs, and it is very odd to see Murry(Jeff), without Beverly Goldberg...
What...no discounts?
Surprising huh!
Sometimes you listen to someone speak and you know right away “ya this guy’s a real artist” (compliment 🙂)
He is very engaging, right?
Sometimes someone leaves a comment like this and you know right away "this guy has no idea what art is.
