- This quilted jacket is so easy and QUICK! It took me 30 mins from measuring to finished and it’s so beginner sewist friendly too. All you need is four rectangles of fabric (the instructions on how to measure these are in the video) and a bit of bias binding. For anyone who is looking for a pattern free project to start off with, THIS IS IT!

Oh I love this so much 😍. I was surprised at how well it fit considering it was all rectangles! I'll definitely be copying this. Can't believe that throw was in a charity shop...what a find 😁 xx
So cute ! Thanks for sharing!
That is adorable and sheek. Thank you for you time to show us this tutorial.
This was pretty darn amazing, thank you so much for sharing. Beautiful 🤩 jacket!!!
Very cute, love the look & who would ever know what it used to be… adorable!❤
Absolutely Incredible!! I am a beginner and this looks really approachable to me. It's getting colder now and I dream of a quilted jacket like this for this fall. But to buy one with a lovely print is actually kind of pricey. Definitely going to attempt to make one for myself as soon as I thrift a blanket. I will update the comment after I make it! Wish me luck))
Good luck! Remember to do the sniff test when thrifting one, washing and drying them is an absolute pain! Thanks for watching x
It is soooo cute! Great idea. Thank you! ❤️
I love it! I have a old quilt, I should try this
super jacket - you are so clever
It’s so nice!!!! Thanks 🙏🏼

Would you be willing to share the measurements you came up with for the pattern?
Wonderful video 🤩 I think lots of people will have a go at making this jacket after watching this, and you’ve worked out all the measurements for us 👍😃 Thank you 👏👏🇬🇧
You look beautiful in the jacket, and I love the style!!! Bravo!!! ❤

I absolutely love it! Looks super cozy and adorable. I've been looking for something easy that I will be able to do and finally found it. Thanks!
I'm so glad! Good luck with your jacket x
I was very skeptical at the beginning but when you put it on WOW. So clever. Thanks!
Aww thank you!
It is gorgeous! Looks super easy. I definitely have put this on my to do sewing list.
Good luck! Let me know how you get on. X
This idea is just what I needed to design my first patchwork quilted jacket. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful! Good luck with the jacket x
Haven’t started watching properly yet but love it already because of the Loungefly. Love the Ghobustbusters one! You’re in my want length already.
On my wave length… that should have said
Amazing! Well done! 😍 I will definitely be making this! No expensive pattern too, thanks 😁
Love it ❤
I just bought a quilted throw fro a thrift shop to do exactly this type of jacket. Great idea to go cropped and 3/4 sleeves. I was brainstorming how to handle this dilemma. Glad I found your tutorial. Next time salvage some of the binding to put on the neck area to stay consistent. Looks good.
What a fantastic make. Thank you for sharing
I’m off to the charity shops tomorrow lol 😆👍
Adorable!
The jacket looks so cute, I like your enthusiasm. You inspired me to go back to sewing, thank you 🥰🤗
That's great to hear! Keep in touch and let me know how your sewing journey goes x
So cute on you! Easy
Thank you! 😊
Love this❣️
I just made one from a thrifted quilt! It's SO cute and it was so easy!! Thank you for making this so beginner friendly!
That's great to hear! Glad the tutorial was helpful x
just lovely!
Thank you!
Ah it’s so cute! Well done although I think you were onto a winner with that throw x
Soooooooooo dope ! I was with you untill the flip at the end . Lol I’ve never sewing before but I’m trying this
Thank you! I'm going to try this. I just ran into a website that sells heirloom quilts turned into jackets. They are gorgeous. I own a couple of heirloom hand crafted quilts and would have a hard time cutting into them, but this is a good way to try out the process.
I’m so excited to make matching jackets for my daughter and myself❤
Oh my DAYS that's awesome! You'll both look fab! Good luck x
Perfect! 🦋
Wow wow wow 👌 you did a great job. It turned out 😍 beautifully I'm going try making one too.
Thank you! Good luck x
Love it, it's so beautiful.. if you got any leftover fabric may be could with adding pockets ×××
Beautiful jacket . You made it look so easy too! I have got some quilted fabric, now going to try it . Wish me luck ! Thank you for such a lovely tutorial.
Best of luck! Let me know how you get on x
So cute! And super simple! Thanks for explaining the Rectangle Measurements.
I've got a blanket I've been wanting to turn into a coat, but just haven't found the "right" pattern to try it ((im relatively beginner)) ... this one may be a winner though!.
Lovely
This looks really doable!!
Thank you so much for this! I've been hunting for a pattern for this shape of jacket for a couple of weeks, but all I find are jackets with fiddly bits that cost way more than I want to pay or pdfs that I would have to print on my elderly patchy printer. I'm planning on stitching together lots of denim pieces and scraps from other projects to make the fabric for my jacket. Watching this has shown me just how easy it can be. Thank you, thank you, thank you. :)
I’m so pleased you’ve found this video! Good luck with your jacket, it sounds like it’s going to be epic. X
Love it!!
Thank you!!
Fabulous
Cute!
Cool😊
Love it, what did you do with the neckline at the back?
You are so cute, as your new jacket!
Beautiful 😍 About how much yardage do you think it took overall?
😊
Sooo lovely . Pls help make similar but with hoodie pls 😊
Great work! Did anybody know where i can find this fabric in online for shipping?
Thank you I am looks my for a jacket!!
I am studying wearable art with my quilting teacher!! She made a jacket as well!!
@@marshaflorom3641 Wow! I'd love to learn quilting properly, although I don't think I'd be cutting up the one's I'd made to make a jacket 🤣
What febric do you use for thikness?
This one had about 3mm of wadding in, any more and it would be quite stiff. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching! x
Would you say 2 yards worth of a quilt would work here?
Yeah I would say so x
Did you ever wear this?
One can of Coke in the washer on cold will soften the jacket.
OK...WHY didn't you use thread to attach the neck binding? This a pet peeve...I I'm a fuss-budget! Fuss-budget's of the world UNITE!!!
Hanging my head in shame ;-)
Omg 😂 i made it..well almost..4 pounds quilt from charity shop..but the seam from arm pit down to hip is where i am getting wrong..do i do straight seam or a curve under armpit..i dont know how to curve hahahha but who cares...thank you big time..please let me know how to keep the arm pit seam tidy...
