I saw the comments earlier.. Calling Asmon toxic, while posting the most insulting things about him, none of which had anything to do with his opinions, is the epitome of hypocrisy
When people say "all platforms are political", they're saying that almost everything someone does in public is to some degree political. WoW itself is political, with different factions in two different alliances negotiating, dealing with complex trauma from their past, and handling how to move forward in the world of Azeroth with all of the threats we see at times. If someone makes a comedy video making jokes about asian immigrants for example, it's a comedy show - the guy is joking - but the guy is also pushing a political message to some degree. If 80% of your videos are complaining about how wokeism is ruining gaming, then you're not just making a gaming video - you're making commentary about the political nature of diversity or censoring racism/sexism and such. You can say this without saying "everyone I don't like on the internet needs to be silenced" lol.
"Asmongold is a detriment to games in every sense." Last I checked, Asmongold didn't make Sony and Warner lose millions on live service games, and definitely didn't push Ubisoft to the brink of bankruptcy.
"Misogynistic/Transphobic/Racist" It's because of the blatant and rampant misuse of such words that they're now being used as a badge of honor. In the minds of those people, those words are probably hurled as an insult, but I can only see it as the equivalent to an "your mom's" joke these days. And I just laugh while thinking I'm definitely dealing with a 12 year old who just discovered the power of the internet and of a keyboard 😂
Its more like, people will often take a single comment someone's made and treat it as the defining trait of their personnality. They're not allowing you to be ignorant, dumb, to missuse words, to be wrong, or to simply have a different opinion... and if you actually do have an opinion they perceive as somewhat bigoted, then you must be a full bigot and therefore need to be silenced permanently. I dont think Asmon is genuinely any of these things they say he is, but he does say some wild shit that could be deemed as "ist" or "phobic" by the most sensitives, not to say braindead, of the lefties.
"Misogynistic/Transphobic/Racist" is so overused it basically applies to anyone who isn't feminist/lgbtqia+/non-white. Soon, it will mean nothing at all. And it will be at this point that the real misogynists/transphobic/racists will move in. People should be careful what they wish for. If they keep labelling everyone misogynist/transphobic/racist, they might just become that. For the rest of us, we will continue to have honest and balanced discussions without cancelling and outcasting people from society.
Someone calls you a Nazi and you wear it as a badge of honor? Hmm maybe look inward and see why people are calling you that and have some self growth instead.
This is what the internet has done to multiple generations of people. It started with millennials (my generation) and has gotten progressively worse every generation thereafter.
Who could have guessed that the few socially awkward outcasts in each grade of high school end up being the same socially awkward outcasts in their 20s. And now we as a society still have to deal with their cringe shit. I was hoping they would hole up somewhere after we graduated and would stop being so lame 🙄 not everyone matures past their teenage years unfortunately
They did the same with Pewdiepie years ago. Basically if you're at the top and you're not pandering to them, you're the worst human being in history, maybe just after Hitler.
They just wanna latch onto whoever is already up on the podium and act like they're up there along with them. You don't WANT people like that up there.
"What did i do that is transphobic?" He probably liked a video about Hogwarts Legacy or something. That's enough for the chronically online people to get offended.
Its just team sports. If you disagree with me on one thing therefore you belong on thw other team and if you belong on the other team it must mean you also disagree on this laundry list of other things i believe, etc. People just playing team sports with their beliefs and politics.
Well he can't be "transphobic" because that doesn't exist. Putting that aside, the labels themselves are not important. That user is just another example of what cancel culture looks like. He's trying to shame Pirate for speaking to Asmon by using those labels to keep other people from interacting with Asmon. This is why he shouldn't have apologized in the first place.
They've ruined the word. Like it HAS a meaning but They've made it useless. Ubisoft making a figurine using a symbol of a Japanese memorial of the nuclear bombings of two cities? That's actually problematic. Saying something you do not agree with politically is not.
@@SirBladewind I don't think that is particularly problematic. You are still using the word in the exact same misleading way, just moving the standard around a bit. If japanese people refuse to buy Ubisoft games because of the figurine, that is 'problematic' FOR UBISOFT because it constitutes a problem for Ubisoft. That is how the word used to be used. There should be no problem in itself to offend someone, but that could cause a response that escalates to a problematic situation.
They see it as a loss of power. Someone they deemed "in their pocket" or at least close to it, collaborates with someone they actively hate as he stands against their ideology. The screaming on twitter is their try to bring Thor back in line and regain their power... It is allways about power. Rember this well...
@@2nd_Directorate Aye. The people who are mad about Asmongold are nothing but activists, they may look like something else, but trust me: they try to manipulate the public opinion via social engineering. Things are not as simple as they seem.
As a full time internet racist, this is hilarious. Asmongold has the most bland, run-of-the-mill takes on social issues that you can imagine. In all the videos I've watched, not once did Asmongold say anything even remotely politically controversial. The far left nutbags calling you a nazi are deluded and they should get help.
Ah, the left wing chicken Nazis. I prefer calling them "not-sees" as they give an English saying to the German word of "right winged nationalist party (phrase), turned toxic word for bigot".
He clearly panders to that political side. Is not every video, but almost every time he brings black, LGBT or other minorities (or pretty much all topics on inclusion and diversity) is on a bad light. He also has an idealized vision of asian people. Don't get me wrong, asians are really cool but asmon himself brings them as anti-woke and bring asian people solely to create an idealized image against the other groups he bemoans, which equates that he wouldn't like them so much if asians stranded away from his self-fabricated, biased and idealized image. His takes are nothing impressive though, he's a mask-off bigot but nothing already seen other than the reason of his banning on Twitter. We hate him for promoting such takes on his massive channel.
These people actually think they own Pirate. It's like slavery with extra steps. They infested his community and now they think they're in control of whatever he can and cannot do.
They saw his long hair and abundance of ferrets and started chanting “ONE OF US! ONE OF US!” He’s just a dude. It’s actually hilarious to me when people try to control and/or cancel a content creator for very moderate views. Or in this case, speaking to someone with generally moderate views lol.
I love the holier-than-thou, morally superior, arrogant "tone of text" these people always write with. Like he's the parent disciplining a child. "This is so disappointing", as if anybody needs to answer to his standards lmao, get farmed.
Yes, I absolutely loathe how society has reverted to this;how we talk to each other and how companies and government talk to us, it's so belittling and treats everyone as beneath you or to be babied. I learnt to just block anyone I meet like that or avoid companies that do it.
Exactly ALWAYS watch out for people who use words like "disappointed," it's a sign that they're tying to leverage the role of judgement over you. It's absolutely textbook social manipulation.
Honestly I looked at the video comments and they were pissed asmon called out a culture that oppresses women, but apparently he's hateful and sexist for that 😂
09:49 Asmongold: "You should never, never try to rationalize or reason with an unreasonable person. If you ever do that, you will end up becoming unreasonable yourself. That's it."
The problem is when you label any person you disagree with as unreasonable. Once you do that, you have become an unreasonable person yourself. It's so easy to call someone with an opinion that you don't like or even understand an unreasonable or bigoted person
@@cooliostarstache5474while this is true you're kinda missing the point. Labels can be bad if misused, but they're often there for a reason. I think it's entirely reasonable to label someone as unreasonable if you have tried reasoning with them once and realized they couldn't be reasoned with, or if there are very clear and obvious signs that they are not thinking critically and are not willing to listen or learn from having an actual conversation. There's a very clear difference between just labelling people as unreasonable for no reason, and doing it out of patterns you can observe to avoid future trouble.
@@cooliostarstache5474 If someone's argument for why YOU should change your behavior is to threaten you into compliance with no logical reasoning beyond sparing someone else's feelings, they are being unreasonable and should be ignored. idk i think theyre all good. people are making it into some kind of convoluted argument.. theres plenty of viewers like that but i think most just watch the streamers cus they enjoy it.
@@TheRedGuy9 He has had some controversial takes on issues that people are passionate about. Such as defending copyright holders right to make old games completely unavailable and generally being anti-consumer when it comes to gaming and IT related stuff, which makes sense since he has a background in and is still involved in that industry.
I know some local streamers who were farming hate and ultimately they ended up in mental hospital. I wonder if this is the trend .. :) We shall see soon with Asmon, but I do feel Asmon is having big trouble in his personal life recently. Just my oppinion..
Because if they can't defeat the person with sense and logic, then they must defeat the character. This, in their mind, makes the character invalid ergo their opinion is invalid.
_"You can't platform..."_ always cracks me up when the person that can't be platformed has more subscribers than the person that's "platforming" them. Capitalizing All the wrong Words is just the Icing on The cake.
Where did the capitalization thing come from? I started seeing it a lot more (at least from people who seem to be native speakers and should know better) about six or so years ago, and it usually seems to be these supremely holier-than-thou types doing it. Seems like it should have a name, maybe "psychocapping" or something.

I'm trans and I like Asmon been watching for years now haven't seen or heard a him say anything being transphobic, it's called not being stupid or over reacting from a out of context clip, I 100% agree don't make a character trans just to have a trans person in a game or someone that is gay just make a GOOD GAME.
You’re one of the good ones. I do have a lot of friend like you who just hate this BS as well. Just keep up the good fight and know that most of us don’t hate you guys at all.
Just want to point out that it's just a little hard to believe you're trans (not calling you a liar) just because it's super common for me personally to read the most insanely hateful scentences ever formed by a human all from folks in the online trans community. I think us normies are just tired of those members from that community being toxic and calling anyone they don't slightly agree with "transphobic."
@@BillyOnRUclips To be honest, it's not much better from normies either, and remember that there's always outliers to perceived stereotypes. My favorite clashing of “communities” is when Destiny covers Asmon. Destiny’s people can’t fathom that A LOT of people agree with Asmon whether it’s about video games or politics.
Eh, it’s never about the actual games. Asmon does a feelings/intuition based culture war stream. Destiny does deep dives into subjects doing hours on hours of research and readings live. I get why he shts on it. Esp since they don’t agree on much.
I mean I watch destiny and enjoy the roach king. I bet they share a lot of viewers like myself, but of course you only get to hear the loud ones of each side, while the rest just can pick and choose what they agree and disagree with the person and not just as soon as they disagree in one small point, call the witch hunt.
Asmon is the embodiment of what the old gaming internet culture was like. “Keep crying, if it makes you mad I love it, I love when you're upset, I want to see more of it.” He's so based and unapologetic it is truly amazing to see this nowadays.
Weird thing, it keeps being the same people that used to cry and getting mad They got stuck in mental development or haven't found anything that keeps their mind from thinking too much about it
There is nothing implicitly wrong with diversity. The problem is with "equity", and "inclusion" that are neither equitable nor inclusive. Which then leads to targeted exclusion in the name of "diversity". In other words, DEI is in reality none of the things it professes to be. The main reason many game studios are failing massively right now is they have actively chosen to reject the majority of their former customer base because they thought that pandering would bring in a wider audience while excluding the input of their former audience. The theory and reality are coming into view as misaligned, and many of them are suffering the real financial impacts from it.
@zmortis111 The thing is, dei doesn't really stand for anything they claim it to be. It is an excuse to put their talentless cult members into power. They don't care about anything they preach beyond how they can use it for their advantage. What they preach on the surface level is fine to a degree, but in practice, it is nothing more then a powergrab.
DEI and "wokeness" are those things you're supposed to agree with on a surface level, it does make sense. However whenever you read the details and fine prints (hell those are even in huge font sizes) it devolves into crap that no longer make sense. At least today
4:38 “People don’t want to say what I say because they get hate like this” That is exactly what’s wrong with media in general now. They are just too scared to get cancelled so they fall in line and take the paycheck
If given a choice of keeping your job, or losing your job, livelihood, home, and community, many people will shut up and be quiet. If you are self-employed like Asmongold, your options broaden, and now he is only restricted by the choice of platform his content is provided by. It's one of the reasons Piratesoftware doesn't get into politics for the most part, and avoids addressing the livewire of the woke destruction of the gaming industry. He's a game developer too. His sales are directly related to not pissing off his customers, so he's more likely to be middle of the road and as inoffensive as possible to avoid controversy. It's smart business, and more game developers should probably take this approach over baiting their customers into leaving them. Is he going to lose the left and right fringe by not catering to them? Sure, but he's decided his market isn't served by catering to either fringe.
yup i see it in country-wide votes all the time, they are required but anonymous so people arent afraid to vote what they actually want and there always seems to be a trend of.. well majority of "right-wing" beliefs (to put in more generic terms. its different to american politics) but you put people on the spot then they say what they think everyone wants them to say, because they dont want to get attacked by the crowd thats manifested around them at the question. i like to poke at peoples beliefs but even i still would rather avoid drawing the eyes of the real psycho extremists who pay the most attention to this stuff, and react the hardest.

Except for the fact that StopKillingGames was first presented in such a disingenuous manner ("easy win" in politics? While also being vague and full of obvious loopholes that haven't been 'ironed out'? Those statements taken together make it sound like they *want* the loopholes, and I don't think they do. They just don't know what they're doing, and intentions don't define the results of actions) that one has to be suspicious of ulterior motives. Or the fact that corporations do illegal things all the time and get away with it, so giving them a legal loophole will only make things worse and encourage that sort of behavior in the younger and upcoming generation who see it as the only way to actually succeed and not be trampled underfoot. Because if you don't have the details ironed out, with all the nonsense and politi-speech that may entail, all it will do is create at least one unintentional loophole that people who actually can read the politi-speech will find it and exploit it. Like the example of the company-linked "charities" that serve as tax write-offs while only ending up further supporting the company's bottom line.
I honestly wish Asmon would just stop talking about haters altogether, never make it a point of interest. Let others talk about it. I wish Asmon would focus on games and positive things of his own interest

Plus it gives them something to do what they love most: whine and be mad about issues that they, for the most part, propagated or perhaps even invented themselves.
Nah, they don't have their own opinions. They don't even go to check the sources. They just hear one of their friends or one of their echo chambers talk shit about asmon and believe every word.

Pirate lost most of his based audience when he defended dei. Now he is being eaten by the woke he tried to cater too.

_But then, you just get banned on social media for that._
I’m still left of center myself these days, but ironically the only time I felt anything close to brainwashing was when I was unable to even critique the political party I was, at the time, voting for without putting my social status or career at risk.
With pretty much the same political leaning my eye opener was when I was attacked and reported because although I agreed with them I didnt arrive at this conclusion through the same thought process.
Might be an indicator of something C'apin
Hmm as someone right of center, sure there are divisions on the right, and disagreements, but generally it's nowhere near as vicious as the outright attempts at personal destruction you see the left make upon any of their own at the slightest straying from the chosen narrative of the day.
For the love of god please step foot in Pakistan or any corrupt 3rd world country and its slums. You caring for the oppressed is advocating for their criminality and the politicians that promise them the world.
When you live on the fringes of the far left, centrists look a lot like far right from that perspective.
Farm the hate my lord
Pick number 3, my lord
Off I go then

My lord is crazy
My lord is crazy work. I like it.
Real question is why is that "thing" tweeting still on X and not with its counterparts at BlueSky
Some got ban from Bluelies for hate spam
Because they don’t get money or views….very simple
You can just call it Twitter still. X is just a cringe name
@@highlordlaughterofcanada8685 It's X. "Cringe" isn't a reason; it's an overused, vapid neologism.
@@highlordlaughterofcanada8685 I've taken to calling it X just because it triggers the clinical Elon haters.
I am one of the "stolen valor" racists, thank you for shouting my people out.
I know for a fact that I'd get called transphobic, but the only thing I'd argue is the *phobic* part, I'm anything but scared of those people.
exactly this, ive been saying this since 2016, a phobia is an Irrational fear of something, im anything but afraid of those individuals.
i've seen comment like these many times and they don't care. at this point, we know they just use *phobia* to make everything sound serious or something 🤣
Yo have you seen what the X symbol actually is look at the left side of the freemason symbol where it makes an X and you will see that the outlines match perfectly.
Exactly, how on earth did this word catch on… as if a dislike towards the trans movement is even remotely similar to a phobia of it 🤣
There is a saying in Korea. You don't avoid crap because it is scary. You avoid it because it is dirty. Same thing applies to these crazy people.
4:41 True AF, I'm not a tank, I cant handle the aggro, so its good to know Asmon has cooldowns to handle the hate. Many thanks
He is a hate sponge for us all 🙌
In their effort to portray themselves as compassionate, they can become the most hateful of individuals suffering from their own grandiosity. Out of the same mouth they praise, they spew insult and this shouldn't be surprising.
Asmon's viewers: "He's in the council, but we do not grant him the rank of racism master"
"They're losing the culture war and they know it."
They drugged their adversaries and though they were doing laps on them, but they were running backwards in highreels. Now the other side woke up started running.
let's not make comparisons. i watch you both.
I like both these guys....wtf? this hate over stupid things is pointless....
Facts
Grew up in everyone gets a trophy culture.
They think feefees are the most important factor.
I watch both daily🤷🤷
I saw the ashes video all the way through I thought they had great chemistry
And what did Asmongold ever say that was "transphobic," misogynistic, or racist? Love how they ALWAYS leave that part out. You're just supposed to assume it's correct without asking. (Translation: He had one or two opinions that weren't far left regardless of what they actually were, could have been about taxes or gun rights and it doesn't matter.)
I feel like these twitter mob fun-police types are Juvenile immature people who keep trying to put people in cliques like they’re still in High School.
there is no person with flags in their username that is not inexplicably upset about something
6:48 I don’t get it, what’s the problem with telling the truth?
They take "The truth hurts" literally.
Because gender is a word that's been redefined. They've drawn a distinction between gender and sexes. With gender referring to identity.
Gender is now a tool to verbally express one's identity. Why that irritates people, I have no clue.
because some people don’t like the word reality😂
People are offended by the truth when it doesn't agree with them or what they want
@@tyrannuslapis5107 I wouldn't be happy if Deckard Cain Identified my loot incorrectly, you equip it and get none of the affects you're told it has.
There are aspects to reality that are not dictated by us and it's at best annoying when people work to deceive.
They slander you when you don’t agree 💯 with their views. They’ve shown themselves to be everything they accuse others of being. They’ve become everything they claim to hate yet have the audacity to anoint themselves the “good guys”.
“Mr President, the flags are at it again”
The more I see about these kinds of cases, the less I care about whatever they want me to care about.
I don't like Thor's response. He makes it sound like he sided with a lesser evil in order to remedy a greater evil.
Asmon uploads a single positive video playing a lesser-known indie game and said game blows up in sales.
The alphabet mafia just tries to throw as much shade onto people to make themselves feel good. I have never heard anything from the home boy against being trans. Sports thing is just common sense (transition because your struggling with mental health not because you want to be the best woman in X sport), I'm trans and I agree with this 1000%, the bald man is just spiting facts.
I mean.. The name "Jalydananimate" already explains everythign, doesn't it?
They're just mad that "rightwing politics"aren't actually politics but relatively normal thinking😂.
Anything that isn't expressly for the sole purpose of advancing the cause of marxism is by their definition "right wing extremism".
Literally saw comments that said " I just don't like Asmongold", like bro tell us why 😂😂😂
They never can.. my buddy is the same way and all he can say is “I just don’t” 😂😂
Honestly it just be that way sometimes, I get it. I feel the same way about Pirate. I can articulate reasons but most of it just boils down to his personality rubbing me the wrong way.
Some people hate asmon for his lack of hygiene
@@lazcoroner1483 he belittles people acting like he is always right.
Honestly, that is actually the most fair criticism. You are not required to like anyone. The people claiming he is racist, homophobic etc. are FAR worse. That is an objectively untrue claim.
Never apologize. Never back down. Never support those who hate you.
Maldavius Figtree's community has a bunch of weirdos in it? That's a shocker.
From the stream it felt that asmon and pirate have common view on things and life in general, they are both passionate nerds that don't like misinformation and dishonesty. The only difference is that pirate still tries to be nice to everyone by default and motivate people to be better, and asmon just realized that there is no point to that and calls things out straight as they are.
oh the flag! It's like coral snakes, but in this case: if blue and pink touch, and pink and white do too. We are dealing with a truly poisonous specimen from the internet
To be honest I watch both of these creators a bunch. They both are pretty honest and upfront on their opinons, it surprises me that their fanbases differ this much? Or is it just the minority yelling again?
Even I'm confused by this
Then I remember oh it'd reddit nvm
The difference is that Asmon isn't a holier than thou guy imo.
One thing both Thor and Zack have in common is occasionally they both come up with bad takes on issues they don't understand or view from a broader perspective. The difference is that Zack has been seen to reevaluate when something is called out as a bad take a lot of the time, while Thor just seems to ignore counter arguments that don't fall into his personal worldview. Not saying either approach is right or wrong, just different. Another was of putting it, Thor doubles down and sticks to his guns more often, Zack is ready to consider he might not have the full perspective.
The funniest thing is how these freaks think there was no overlap between viewers of Asmongold and Piratesoftware before Thor actually talked to him. Like somehow Pirate's shorts didn't go into the suggested feed of every single youtube viewer left right and center.
Pirate getting the hate train is so fucking ludicrous. Absolute bots and npcs
The internet and its consequences have been a disaster for the human race.
