Thanks for the video, it's super hard to find this type of information regarding IOLs and hyperopia on the internet.

you are talking about me :D I had eagle eyes until I hit my early 40s...then I started wearing reading glasses. Really not a big deal. Within 5 years I could not see well at any distance, and it has only gotten worse. I hate it. I have progressive glasses but they don't thrill me. They are functional enough, but I would not call the result "good", but swapping between three pairs of glasses for daily activities is a bit much.
Even if cataract surgery means I can only see at one distance with a monofocal, it will be pretty amazing.

Do you have any experience or thoughts concerning the Lenstec Clearview 3 IOL. I am in the US and only FDA approved in 2022 but seems to have a longer history of use elsewhere. Thanks for your informative videos.

I have experience with similar and previous (or same I believe, but marketed for EU SBL-3). Will do a review later in about 2 month. If in rush, we may discuss deeper during my consultation.

@@iol-adviser correct it is the same as SBL-3. I look forward to your review as there were apparently "10s of thousands" placed in China?

Hello, You have some interesting information. I have a question. I had a lens exchange because of my mild cataracts. When I woke up from the procedure, my left eye experienced a sharp stabbing pain coming from the inside to the outside of the eye, and fluid squirted out.
Do you have any idea what could have caused this reaction?

I'm not a doctor, but I can provide some general insights that might help you understand your experience better. Here are a few potential reasons for the issue with your left eye:
Healing Process: Your eye might be still healing from the surgery. It can sometimes take a few weeks for your vision to fully adjust.
Lens Positioning: The lens might not be positioned perfectly. If it's even slightly out of place, it could cause blurry vision or discomfort.
Lens Power: The lens power might not be optimal for your specific vision needs. Sometimes a small correction might be needed.
Dry Eyes: Post-surgery, dry eyes can sometimes cause blurry vision or a sensation of something in your eye.
Complications: Rarely, there could be complications like inflammation or infection that might affect vision.
If these problems persist, it's important to consult with your ophthalmologist. They can provide a more accurate diagnosis and recommend appropriate treatment.

@@iol-adviser I wanted to thank you for your information. There is no infection or dry eye. However, after the procedure, I did develop a small apparent inclusion cyst on the inside of my eye whites. I'm not sure if that could be causing the blurriness and discomfort I'm experiencing. I'm thinking, when I had the sharp pain and fluid squirt from the eye, could that have moved the lens?
