I did review on the Carry Compact and griped about sides of the grips but loved how the gun shot. I recently picked up a used LTT Full-Size and now that I’ve spent some time on it… I can see why Beretta may have over looked it… the way the gun behaves in recoil doesn’t really require the shooter to clamp down to shoot it well… if anything just focusing on the decent wrist lock and letting the gun just track up and down is the cheat code for solid groups at speed with this platform. I have a GSD on order from y’all and excited for that if the barrel lives up to the hype!
Juat shot my fastest 25m speed bull from concealment with my LTT px4 storm compact carry RDO. 9.78 seconds and a score of 91 (10 rounds at 25 yards) Love this pistol!!!
My mom had a break-in a few years ago and we recommended she get herself a PX4 (and practice with it) after that for exactly this reason -- softest shooting 9mm we could find. The PX4 line quickly became a family favorite, now we have 3 -- 2 fulls and 1 LTT refined PX4cc -- they eat recoil like magic.
I run an LTT PX4 2024 blackout compact as my EDC and holyyy moly its an amazing pistol. I've ignored the PX4 for 20 years, glad LTT is finally shining light on this absolutely amazing firearm. I'm normally a 2011 guy but I am a PX4 believer!
The PX-4 Compact from Langdon Tactical is just plain amazing! Hands down the best shooting handgun in my collection. The rotating barrel design that is "tweeked" even more by LTT is fantastic!
I got a soldering iron and stippled the backstrap on all my PX4's. Makes a huge difference. And if you screw it up, get another one. Might do the front strap too, although I'm not completely unsatisfied with the factory surface
The Px4s becomes a very lovely piece once you shoot it. I recommend the Boresight Solutions stipple and it nears perfection. It was worth every penny I paid for my LTT version.
Bought my px4c stock eight years ago and slowly added all the ltt features which brought it from a great gun to an amazing gun. Just added to flat face trigger even though I have never been a fan of flat faced triggers, but they did it right to the point that it makes the trigger pull better too. Will be picking up either px4 either/or/and a c and gs-d.
I've had the PX4 subcompact in 9mm for about 15yrs with the LTT CC package, DPM spring kit and Talon grips and an Olight mini. Shoots easy and accurately. Like anything else, it takes practice to become proficient. Love the bulldog look!
I recently started working part time with a large outfitter and got to see your guns at a training session with Beretta. They love your improvements and the 92 Brigadier conversion that you make for them was especially nice. I wish the Brigadier would be additionally offered in 40 S&W like it used to be. If I recall right, they had a version in 357 SIG for Europe as well. And, since the Brigadier conversions are competition guns, perhaps a 38 Super version may also be offered... I can dream on while I save up to buy one of your masterpieces, I guess! Stay blessed always!
Honestly, I came to see Grandma, too! I was pretty jazzed up at the possibility of seeing Mrs. Langdon, Senior in the Mesa desert shoot some steel! Maybe next video upload, PLZ?
I have the three bears pack: The Full-size in 40 cal, Compact Carry in 9mm (with almost all of the LTT trimmings) and the SubCompact for good measure and deep concealment with a 9mm punch. If beauty is in the eye of the beholder, then it was love at first sight for me. The first time I saw a PX4 many years ago, I knew I wanted to check it out because it was so differernt from everything else on the market. Still is in some ways.
I bought one back in 2009 in 40. I know 40 but I have put 1000’s of rounds through it and though I don’t shoot it as much as I use to I have no ambition to get rid of it. It’s really great gun.
As the local Beretta shill in my friend group, I have had my friends shoot my 92 series pistols and a PX4. General consensus is that all prefer the 92. We all like the PX4 but it doesn't seem to have the same magic for people. I myself love mine.
Ernest, I happen to think the PX4 is a very attractive gun :) it's curves and lines that Italian sleekness and it's just different from all the other "run of the mill lets put super serrations on the front, back, side, top, everywhere, make it look like a catus type bullcrap flooding the market lol......
^^^DITTO... The PX4's design stood out from the rest. It was the first thing I noticed and what really got my attention. At the time, almost NO ONE was talking about the PX4. It wasn't until Ernest fired off his post that would be heard/read around the world: "The PX4 Compact might be my DA/SA Glock 19" that the people started waking up to the awesomeness that is the PX4. (If you haven't read it, go back and read /follow the progression - good stuff!)
I own the LTT PX4 CC and absolutely love everything about this handgun, including the looks. It's durable, shoots amazing, and the custom LTT trigger is phenomenal. And, I don't need a gun that's "pretty". The PX4 is ugly in a cool way.
Since the 40 caliber barrel bored to a 9mm noticeably smooths out the recoil, then why not try the 45 caliber barrel bored to a 9mm? Do you think the recoil would be smoothed out even more?
I don't know who's saying the PX4 isn't attractive, & perhaps the full size version is slightly, but my Compact in 9mm, from perhaps the first 1K batch back in 2010, with the LTT low profile decocker only ears installed, is a very attractive gun compared to anything else in it's market. I got the original NATO spec recoil spring still installed with the 10# LTT spring, & that thing is a runner. I love it & it was a home run hit for first concealed carry gun choice. Never needed a different one since.
They deal with how hard it is to rack! A Grandma couldn’t shoot it. I’m 80 with arthritic hands, but bought one and ended up giving it to my son-in-law because it was difficult for me to rack. I asked LT if they had a mod for this, they didn’t.
This was going to be my original carry gun but I got talked out of it. I very much love what I did buy, but I am jonesing to pick up the Storm. I am a huge fan of DA/SA hammer guns.

Apparently I'm one of the few who think the PX4 (especially the Compact Carry) looks amazing. I heard it described once as faceted like a gemstone, and I think that sums it up well -- I think what I love about the PX4's looks is exactly that it stands out, nobody looks at a PX4 and mistakes it for a Glock or a clone -- it practically begs for a "what is that?" second look from people. I don't see ugly, all I see is the best shooting handgun I've ever shot -- that LTT'd SA trigger is... perfecto!
I own two PX4s and think if Beretta was as good at marketing as they are at making guns the PX4 would be much more popular. They are great guns - period.
I am a fan of the PX4. LTT's vision and work take it to a whole new level. Beretta keeps updating the 92 series and the APX series, but why no love for the PX4 is baffling to me. The rotating barrel system is simply amazing and LTT's work should be the standard. Beretta, PLEASE update the design...not just for the sake of change, but use your wisdom and LTT's and bring us a better tool.
I find the PX4 to be attractive. I don't like the grip texture. I wish it were more like modern firearms, Hellcat, M&P 2.0, or even better, the Beretta APX A1. The grip shape is fine, but I would like more grip on front and back strap. If that were the case I'd own several. I'm a little disappointed. I expected to see a little old lady shoot a PX4.
The only gun i would buy other than my Berettas is the SIG 226, they are both almost identical except for looks. Blindfolded, they both feel the same as my 92A1. They both shoot the same. I would like to have a 226. I need to send in my PX4 to get upgraded like in the video. I'm 68 and a red dot sight works better since I cant see the freakin dot on the 'target' unless it is dark. It would be much better than asking the bad guy, hold on let me put on my geezer glasses.
I never saw the px4 as an ugly gun. Different, yeah, but never ugly. IMO, Glocks pre gen 5 were a lot less attractive than the px4… The only thing that gets me on the px4 is the grip texture. I wish it was better from Beretta. But that’s a small price to pay for how well it goes pew. I’ll keep rocking the px4 until it fades into the depths of history
In all due respect the PX4 Storm should have been facelifted and corrected the small stuff like the grips, looks long ago, and finish durability/coating {It shows holster wear too much compared to competition}. It's a premier platform with zero commitment from Beretta to handle the shortcomings. Maybe Langdon needs to convince them to take some steps? What is it now? A couple decades since they gave it a new look. The things makers have in terms of grip modification, color, texture etc. means they can do what they want with designs. You don't have to wait 20 years to change it.

I've owned my PX4 CC for two years. Regrettably I've had problems getting certain brands of ammo to chamber, and hollow points won't load no way, no how.
