Which procedure do you believe would be best for a vertically longer neck?

Great information. Does this procedure address the jowls at all?

      Hi @jennicrow2946,
Neck Contourplasty, and open neck lifts do help with jowls to an extent. Other causes of jowls include bone volume loss along the jawline, which may need separate volume enhancement. You can refer to this video about treating jowls, or the appearance of jowls - ruclips.net/video/bMBm37wFwNE/видео.html

Can a neck lift be performed from the back of the neck? I can't find anything on the subject, but I notice that if I pull my neck from the back, I get a nice contour. So, logic tells me that surgery should be possible this way...

      Hi @dammar117,
A more extensive neck lift may be needed for more advanced skin laxity at the neck. Traditional necklifts lift the neck skin from behind the ear, which may be needed if MyEllevate is not enough for your situation. Traditional neck lifts are also featured in the video. I hope this clarifies things for you.

does rf microneedling deliver the heat below the skin?

    • @AmiyaPrasadMD
      @AmiyaPrasadMD  6 месяцев назад

      Hi @scabiesandrabies,
It isn't safe for microneedling to enter the skin barrier, then go past the skin barrier into the fat and soft tissue level. Keep in mind that the Renuvion radiofrequency device is designed to go under the skin because it is a surgical procedure, although a minimally invasive one, microneedling is a non-surgical procedure, but it is still invasive as it breaks the skin barrier. I hope this clarifies things for you.

Will MyEllevate under the chin help with saggy skin on the trapezius area? This area is never discussed, but I have major creepiness there. Since it extends the neck area, I wonder if any type of neck lift would help.

    Hello Dr Prasad!
I have a question. Does the skin have a limited collagen production capacity over a lifetime?
Meaning, if we do regular microneedling sessions, or fractional lasers... are we tapping into the skins collagen production capital?
I am asking because you said in one of your videos that the skin, after a few microneeling sessions, might not produce as much collagen as in the earlier sessions.
This makes me worried... is even microneedling, which seems like the safest acne scar approach, a good solution to scars but could have negative long term impact on skins natural collagen production capacity?
Thank you , would really appreciate your feedback, couldn't find a clear answer anywhere:)

      Hi @kasia-gp1or,
While collagen production does decrease time with time in everyone, it doesn't mean the body can stop producing collagen altogether after a certain point because collagen synthesis will remain a function of the body. There are limits to collagen induction per treatment session, so more aggressive treatment doesn't mean more collagen, and can actually damage the skin. Collagen induction treatments should also be done 4-6 weeks apart for the skin to heal, and for collagen to form in treated areas. I hope this clarifies things for you. You can refer to this video about collagen induction therapies, and the limits of collagen induction - ruclips.net/video/UzNvtn0TxMc/видео.html
