This Pocket-Sized Folding Ebike Is Surprisingly Zippy - Lectric XP Lite Review

The Lectric XP Lite is a folding electric bike for people who need a lightweight and compact ebike. If you want an ebike for short riders, this could fit the bill, however it also was able to expand in size to accommodate a 6'5" rider just barely.
While the Lectric XP Lite electric bike was not the most powerful ebike I've recently tried, that's not the purpose of this machine. At the same time this electric ebike had quite a bit more pep then I was expecting with its 48v battery and controller.
My favorite "cheap" fat tire ebikes:

I just bought one of these. I'm 63 and live alone in a rural area 5 miles from town. There is no Uber or Lyft. If I have to put my car in the shop I either walk home or beg for a ride. This bike is a godsend! Fit's in the trunk of my car and is surprisingly zippy.

I have it, using it for a few days now & there is one big issue that people need to know & that is the position of the throttle
The ends of the handlebars are not very big, I am not a big guy, small hands & yet my hands cover some of the throttle when I grip the handlebars
    Why is this an issue?
I found it the hard way - I stopped at a red light & needed to go left, so I back up while seated
Without realizing it, while backing up, i pulled down the throttle! engaging it! The bike took off, I was not prepared, fell down hard on the road! The bike fell down after moving forward a bit, fortunately there was no traffic - otherwise it might have hit someone
This is an issue - now I make sure whenever I am stopped, to not cover the throttle with my hand
I think they need to change this - maybe engage the throttle by moving it UP, not DOWN
Or in other bikes, there is a little bar that one pushes down with the thumb - that is a better way to engage the throttle
Right now I fear this is an accident waiting to happen

I was researching E-Bikes for about a month,
1st week I was intrigued by the Mopped style, Revv1 in particular.
2nd week was the Wired Freedom, I was 100% gonna buy it!
Today , Pulled the trigger on this XP Lite in White.
    Your Channel/Reviews are very helpful.
I did not use your link, but I absolutely let them know your Channel name and a Link to this review as to where I found out about Lectric Bikes.
What really sold me was the Size of the bike and the 48V battery w/ UL safety rating .
Somehow having a non UL rated battery seems very dangerous in my living room apartment.
Basically all BMX bike parts will fit this bike and the customization's are limitless .
    Thanks again!😎

I had a lot of issues with Velotric customer service and the bike itself that really turned me off to it and too many good things were said about Aventon so I switched over and WOW I am impressed.
The reason I mention all of that was because unbeknownst to me right at the time I ordered my bike Aventon was on the cusp of launching it's Sinch 2 folding bike and just like that I am seeing tons of folding ebike reviews.

I know that's how they make their money, but how about selling the frame and let us choose the better parts. Of course, then you got the name-brands who think people are going to buy a 7k bicycle. @@denvercolorado7980Which is way more than 899. Even the Dart 2 starts at like 1699. Not even close in price.

Yes, you could spend thousands of dollars on an eBike ruclips.net/user/postUgkxUiL0GnyDjP32RJdd660sP8mZk4CRLTCJ and get something much higher quality. However, if you're looking for a basic model to try out eBiking this is a great choice. The assembly is easy as far as bikes go (took about an hour for me to do, I'm not an expert). All tools needed are included. I added the plastic mud guards you see and a more comfortable seat. The other reviews are correct that you're probably going to want a better seat (Giddy Up! Bike Seat is what I got - super comfortable). The battery easily handles a 2-4 hour ride if you add some of your own pedal power. I haven't even gotten it up to top speed yet - it is very fast. Components are not top of the line, but decent for the price and work just fine. It works great on dirt roads and singletrack and pavement although too heavy to do tricks or any serious technical mountain biking. I'm looking forward to using it a lot over the summer. Tons of fun!
