      Hey there! I recently came across a new project called freebeat Morph 2-in-1 eBike and it seems pretty impressive. The outstanding features of this e-bike include a brushless 750W motor with 80Nm torque, top speed of 20mph, and 80mm front suspension for a smooth ride in any terrain. Plus, it's IPX5 Waterproof, so you can ride in any weather conditions. What caught my attention is its unique dual mode that allows indoor charging! It's definitely a game-changer. Can't wait to see more about it! Keep up the great work, freebeat!

    2:40 As commenter Pedro previously noted, it's "newton meters" of torque, not "nanometers".
    But you can be forgiven because Lectric itself writes it wrong on their website. They write it as "55 nm" when they should say "55 Nm". "nm" (lower case) means nanometers, while "Nm" (uppercase N) means newton meters. 😊

    I am of female of average height but overweight and just tried out two Aventon's (the Level2 and the Sinch) and felt very cramped and unstable on both these ebikes. It felt like I was riding a tricycle when I was 5 yrs old, where I was very close to the handlebars and could not fully extend my legs when pedaling but when I raised the seat to give my legs more room to pedal, I could barely touch the ground. The measurement from the center of the handlebar to the tip of the seat was 18 to 19 inches on these bikes, while my Electra Townie pedal bike 22 inches between the tip of the seat and the center of the handlebar. It there a lot of space between the handlebar and seat on the XP 3?

    • @ebikingtoday
      @ebikingtoday  11 месяцев назад

      My experience on the Lectric (being 5'1") is that there was definitely more room between the seat and the handlebars than many other upright bikes (as I had to stretch a bit further). Check out the "size guide" here for exact measurements: lectricebikes.sjv.io/b3nY1g
      Also, consider that you don't really need to touch the ground when seated... this simply gives us more comfort initially. So, perhaps you don't need to lower the seat as much as you think you do? :)

    • @ebikingtoday
      @ebikingtoday  Год назад +1

      It's a really good option. If you want something much lighter, don't care about having less power overall, and don't need to go as fast, it may be perfect!

    • @gimpman1357
      @gimpman1357 Год назад +4

      The XP Lite is the better choice if 1. You are on the shorter side and lighter side (under 5’4” tall less than 175lbs) 2. Don’t need to go too far (ie. occasional leisure rider who rides less than 10 miles most often) 3. Drive mostly on flat paved city roads (no off road and not too many hills). 4. Don’t care about going too fast (ie. 20 mph is enough)
      PS. The 3.0 is the better value. If you decide to get the 3.0 get the bigger battery and suspension seat post and upgrade the seat. If you get the XP Lite get the suspension seat post and upgrade the seat.
      PPS. I am 5 ‘3” tall and weigh 150 lbs. I own the Lectric XP 2.0 and a Jetson Bolt Pro. I like them both equally. I ride the 2.0 when I need to go someplace or need to carry stuff. I use the Jetson on leisure rides around the neighbourhood. The advantage with the Jetson is you can take and ride it anywhere ie. on public transit (ie. subways), on elevators, and ride without issue on sidewalks.

It hasn't been an issue for me, as I charge the battery on the bike... and I don't even notice that there's a key stuck in the bottom anymore. I've had poor luck with our two XP 3.0s as well as Lectric CS. The mechanical brakes are horrible (known issue). They supposedly notified XP 3.0 owners offering free hydraulic upgrade kits. We were never notified about the offer. Unfortunately, Lectric is no longer honoring this offer. The mechanical brakes (even the ones sent via a recall) are still horrible - and unsafe. I tried a few days ago and they refused to make good on this even though my wife and I bought 2 XP 3.0s in January - obviously AFTER the company was in the process of re-designing the brakes to hydraulic - yet still no help. Lectric customer service was not at all helpful...sorry we bought Lectric brand.

    • @ebikingtoday
      @ebikingtoday  9 месяцев назад

      Sorry to hear this and that you missed the hydraulic upgrade... they voluntarily recalled the original brakes and are only selling XP 3 with the hydraulic brakes now, which, I agree are superior. Perhaps try Lectric again... maybe you'll have more luck with a different Lectric service rep. Alternatively, for the sake of safety, ask a local bike shop to install hydraulic brakes. I'd hope you can get two bikes done for around $100. Best wishes 😄

      Ughhhh, yes, that key is a big concern for those of you living in the cold and snow (sorry, Californian here). If you have to remove the battery to keep it warm every time you ride, I'm sure that's incredibly annoying! For others, the key can just stay in the locked position and the battery can be charged without removing it from the frame. I really hope Lectric will move the key on the next version.

      @@ebikingtoday IMO it's okay to be given a bike to review but the reviewer should state clearly if the manufacturer wants any control over the content of a video or needs to pre-approve it. It seems that Lectric doesn't demand approval of reviews. A bad company, for example, is Thrunite (flashlights). They were well known for demanding to pre-approve reviews, so now many honest youtubers won't review them at all, even if they like the product.

    So they’re aren’t really any cons 😂

    • @ebikingtoday
      @ebikingtoday  Год назад +1

      Most of the cons I discussed are to be expected in a lower priced ebike... and, overall, the Lextric XP is a great value for the low price :)

    • @TexasHighDef
      @TexasHighDef Год назад +1

      I would say the three biggest cons are. 1 The mechanical disc brakes. All ebikes should have Hydraulic disc brakes. That was the second thing I changed. The first thing was the twist throttle. Not only is it hard on your wrist on long rides. It puts your hand out of place for the rear brake leveler and sifter. I put a left hand thumb throttle on mine. Then there is the pain in the butt key placement. A pain but not a deal beaker. I still would say it is a good deal for what you get. As long as there are not a lot of hills where you ride with those brakes. They should have charged $50 more and put Hydraulic disc on it. You could change them yourself for around $100 or take it to a shop for about $200.

      @TexasHighDef Yes, hydraulic brakes are better but I wouldn't expect them for this price... and they seem to sell a lot at this price. They're probably worried they'd lose customers if they went over $1000 😄

      @@ebikingtoday Yes I know they are/were trying to keep them under a thousand. They should of had Hydraulics's as a option. I would of paid a little more for them. Rad is in a big wrongful death law suite because of mechanical disc brakes on their ebikes.

      @@TexasHighDef You're right, it'd be a good idea for Lectric to have an upgrade option...especially considering what's going on with Rad. I have noticed a few lower-priced ebikes offering hydraulic brakes now, which wasn't the case previously. I hope more do as well!

    I’m beginning to think these early review videos are all fake. I’ve had my 2 Lectric XP 3.0 bikes for 2 weeks. I purchased the long range models, but I barely even got 18 miles out of the battery. I have two other electric bikes that are rated at much lower mileage whose battery last longer. In addition to that, the components are really cheap. The brakes squeak so loud that I’m going to have to replace them if I keep it. These lights are also very cheesy. I need to be replaced. They’re supposed to be the upgraded versions. I cannot imagine. They are four times brighter than anything except for a candle. Really disappointed with these bikes after being so excited about the hype on RUclips.

      Sorry to hear that you've had some problems George. Clearly, something is not right about the battery. Make sure the charger and wall outlet you're using are working properly. Next, you should definitely talk to Lectric support. My "non" long-range battery can go way farther than that! Generally, manufacturers recommend brake adjustments once you receive the ebike... they can get moved around during shipping and assembly. Hope you get it worked out... here's a support link: help.lectricebikes.com/
