    This is why I sometimes love the Tech community, the universal agreement of this review being utterly trash has saved me wasting 10 minutes of my precious day.
    May God Bless you all and thank you.

    I see alot of selective comparison. Comparing it to pixel and Iphonen for camera but fail to relize it more versatile and faster at charging than both. Comparing it to a oneplus for charging but failing to state it cameras blow the oneplus out the water.

    Bunch of BS cons. You can't expect all the tech & hardware and still expect the phone to be light. I have been carrying the phone in my pockets all day long and it definitely isn't that big of a problem. Most of the other issues are common across all flagships. 25 watt fast charging is actually good as it will result in a more healthy battery in the long run. This is the best Android phone currently. Period.

    Definitely didn't like this review! No 3.5mm jack!?! Really?!?!? Most flagships don't have that Jack anymore. Too big?!?!? Why are you reviewing the Ultra, then? You knew it was big when you received it. Dude just grabbing at anything to get rid of it. PhoneArena, quit having this dude review the big phones. Have him review only the smaller ones. I know he ain't the only reviewer on your payroll!

    • @ohbryan96
      @ohbryan96 3 года назад +12

      I totally agree with you. It's like, he's been so biased against Samsung phones. He's making the small cons a bigger one to make it a big issue not to get that phone where most flagships right now are getting bigger and heavier just to provide us the ultimate smartphone we wish to have. He even compared the screen size of the S21 Ultra to S21 Plus where it's only a 0.1 inch difference and he's making it a big deal??? Is he really reviewing the phone FAIRLY??? What would he think to an ULTRA smartphone to be? That phone houses a lot of hardware so its size and weight are acceptable PERIOD

    • @thimpap4564
      @thimpap4564 3 года назад +3

      Man i also like the big phones, but overall these modern phones flagship or midrange phones, their screen has the worst aspect ratio 20:9 which makes the phone too much tall and too much narrow! And i think that they should change this aspect ratio of the screen from 20:9 to 18:9, because of portability and because not all the consumers needed so too much tall phone, this is ridiculous!

    • @ZeroRilix
      @ZeroRilix 3 года назад

      @@thimpap4564 I agree the biggest best phone I owned this far has been the Motorola Nexus 6. I loved the aspect ratio and the size, reminiscent of a tank. After that phone is when the 20:9 ratio started coming out. I can see the value and logic behind it. If they stayed at that ratio, you'd have phones the size of the original Nexus 7 when approaching 7 inches

    Imagine a reviewer working for a car magazine whining about the Mercedes flagship car, the S Class, being too... big. Has it occurred to you that the target group of people buying flagship phones actually want them to be big? The iPhone 12 Pro Max is also a big phone infact it's wider more difficult to hold. Did you complain as well? If a reviewer doesn't like small phones should he be complaining about that or cater for the needs of people of different tastes?
    Headphone jack: Get over it and accept it isn't coming back in any mainstream flagship device. What's next complaining about the lack of an IR blaster? Well if it's not an iPhone it's certainly possible!
    As for the picture quality opinions widely vary.

    I fully agree with you. I was S20 plus user and went for S21U this time because of QHD display and pen support, but I regret it for the same reason you mentioned. It's too big and heavy. I was using S20 plus without the case and felt comfortable with it, but S21U is so big and heavy and slippery so I don't feel comfortable to use it without the case, which makes things even worse. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us.

    Everyone seems to be missing the paradoxical point. Yes, it's contradictory to purchase, review, and return a big phone based on the first thing you notice, its size. However, the largest phones usually offer the best specs, but we know many people don't like big phones. Samsung's strategy for this year's offerings was to put more spec differences between the S21 plus and the S21 ultra models. Last year's entry level offering was much more competitive to include WQHD, 12Gb RAM, micro SD, and SD865 with aluminum frame.

    Size shouldn't be a complaint. The ultra is the ultra for a reason. It's the most compact they could make it in order to fit all the components that even the S21 plus can never fit. Thats why they made the other sizes. S21, S21+ and the beast S21 Ultra

    Those are all excellent arguments for and against this phone. Personally, I find the camera to be so good that I'll just put up with how oversized it is, as well as the other annoyances. It's just incredible being able to take such detailed shots from an extreme distance.
    One of my biggest personal gripes is the lack of a front-facing speaker. It really makes a significant difference - aesthetics be damned.
    Regarding the lack of a headphone jack.. I lament its loss. But it feels like the giants of the industry like Samsung and Apple have moved past it, which kind of dictates the trend.

I try every phone and there's no dought the S21 ultra is the best samsung phone ever and best phone so far in general. Camera is the best in a Smart phone , best display it's samsung . Good size feels better in the hand then the 12 pro max in that boxy shape. It's wide! The s21 ultra is a big phone but feels better in the hand then alot of smart phones now . Feels very fast with the 120 htz customization is great. Multitask is always great in a Samsung phone. Spen works great with it. I have no negative feeling about this phone.

    Review is 90% negative and 10% positive.Wah wah. You knew the phone was large and you decided to be quite opinionated and Biased about it. An honest review consists of minimal Biased opinions from the reviewer. Where you went wrong is that you said that you returned it. That is a big nono. Sure, it's ok to say that it's too big for your preference but that should be it. Just keep your feelings out of the review. From what I am gathering in your video, I would think that if you worked as a salesperson that you would push people to buy smaller that kind of sales decision is not honest and good.

    Tech like periscope lenses, a large screen and 5k battery simply won't fit in a 6.1 inch casing.

    And they price them out of the market too !
    Add the two above statements together , and that becomes the conjoint reason for sales drop !
    And then based on that they wrongly discontinue the line !
    If any of the last two Samsung Flagships were complete :
    I would have purchased the Snapdragon version from the USA !
    The Note 20 Ultra had a major battery issue , also a video stabilization issue , and a still camera zoom issue !
    The S21 Ultra has issues that just don't give one confidence to purchase it !
    Seems Apple iPhone is a real competitor .

    Agree. I've dropped for 3 times. Slippery pocket on my winter jacket. Once it dropped just near USB and got scrached. But still wery durable phone. Like Nokia 3310 :) It can survive.

    Changing speeds sound amazing my phone takes 2 hours and having it charge 30min or even an hour is hella awesome and for something that has one of the biggest batterys sounds perfect I have a 20000 hour charging brick that thing takes forever to charge but it lasts weaks and I love it to death even to charge my switch

    Yes. Sorry my friend. If I was Samsung, I would throw this video in the waste basket. "_______" is offensive enough to send it back. LOL. That's just ridiculous. Your issue with size is subjective and there aren't significant size differences in flagship smartphones: 6.1 - 6.8 inches. So what? It is just a negative that is unnecessary for consumers to hear in a review when a .7 difference isn't going to be a tragedy like your making it to be. I only disagree because you didn't justify your issue with comparable options you feel don't offend your pockets. LOL 😂

    I understand that he wanted to get rid off it, I think this whole video can be put in one sentence: software annoyances. Other complaints like size and color are just trying to create unvaluable contents.
    Unfortunatly Samsung software annoyances are here. I am s20+ user with 3.1 UI. It doesnt feel as fast and clean as oneplus and pixel phones. Samsung have to understand that the majority of people want simple stuff, thats why the way to go phone fpr majority are iphones and maybe pixel if available.

    • @a-aron6724
      @a-aron6724 3 года назад

      Recent Pixel phones have actually kind of sucked. Google isn't really trying to make spec monsters these days and it has caused them to take a serious back seat. I used the first pixel and loved it but it competed with the best Androids around at that time. Since then they're doing this gay mid-range/upper mid range and it's because they probably don't want to make their price cross a certain threshold due to their already low sales

    Got to agree on the face unlock. My Oneplus 7T is far faster than my 21 ultra, and the 7T's low light assist is brilliant, the 21 ultra has trouble if I'm indoors even with its own low light assist turned on..

  • @kpehe100
    @kpehe100 3 года назад +1

    Yes, the same reason I returned mine, oversized, thickness and weight. If it was thin but heavy I wouldn't mind but when the phone is too thick and heavy it becomes hard to use. The only thing that makes the phone to stand out is the 10X zoom and nothing else, but usability is not friendly. I couldn't have said it better than this.

    GREAT points.
    ∙ Apple caught huge flack for not including a charger and Samsung seems to be getting away with it - give them hell too!
    ∙ I totally agree with the headphone jack - bring. it. back! When I eventually have to upgrade that's gonna be a deciding factor.
    ∙ I just did a software upgrade to One UI v3 and it's so slow. Worth going into developer options and speeding up animations etc.

      I prefer One UI 3 over 2.5. The animation is designed microsecond longer, but it is much smoother and more premium in my opinion.

    Oh and a fast charger included in the box. All at a much much cheaper price.

    Have to say thar is alot of samsung fan boys mad at you but I can honestly say I have owned every samsung sence the s3 , I to returned this phone no sd card and 3.5 jack plus no charger , the real question is what makes android different from iso
    Its all the customization avaliable switching battery's memory cards, not worrying about earbuds dieing , personaly I have high fidelity headphones and listen to flac files on 500+ dollar headphones, the ear buds got a long ways to go before there better
    not high fidelity yet

So now that I have an Ultra, believe it or not this is small to me and I hate the size. Lol. The battery sux too. Other wise I love this phone

  • @Zchlowder

    Size is a personal preference. Reviewers like you should not influence your personal preference to people. There are many people that need 7.3’ phones. Manufacturer hesitate to produce large phones because they harsh criticized by reviewers who personally don’t prefer large phones. People using large phones get bullied as carrying fablets. Please be fair, if you want to criticize on size, do some research. Put both sides of pros and cons on your reviews.

    Who else thinks he got some kind of $ kick-back for this “review” ? Otherwise, why would he even buy the phone in the first place, as everything he complains about is stated in the S21 Ultra’s specification list! Oie, what a joke.

  • @andyH_England
    @andyH_England 3 года назад +1

    Yes, I feel Samsung has lost the plot. Why not have a gigantic s21 Ultra (as is) and also a smaller version with the same features but obviously a smaller battery? At a lower price, I am sure it would sell well unlike the poorish sales of the s21 and s21+? Apple does the same with their Pro models although they have a slightly different camera setup on the bigger version.
    Apart from that, I would say the s21U was too expensive but is dropping in price to a sensible level, I think £850 (seen it new on eBay already at that price) is what it should sell at when the competition arrives. ATM it is in a vacuum and consumers cannot see it for what it really is. Though TBH with some much more interesting phones incoming and Exynos in my region, even at that price it is a hard buy for me! The OPPO Find X3 arrives next week and is probably a much better choice for me.

    He has a point with the size. I use a pixel 4a because it's so convenient. However I'd like the zoom of the s21 ultra in a smaller package. That would be nice. S21 regular is the right size but lacks the great camera choice. Could it be squeezed into a 6 inch phone?
