This is my 1,325th video of Pixel 6 Pro camera reviews I've watched. I've come to the conclusion after all these reviews, it takes great shots. Some are better on S21 ultra, some are better on Iphone 13. But if you never compared any of these phones in person, you'd be pleased with the results...its just the Pixel phones do it for a lot less $$$$. Hopefully it will lower the cost of phones for the consumers in the future.

Great comparison, honestly probably the best one I've seen so far. I completely agree that regular photos are probably a tad better on the pixel, but overall the s21U is the more flexible option
I use an S21 ultra and the photo quality is simply outstanding but man, the 4k60 video quality is total trash, with serious lack of detail and over sharpening. I compared 4k60 with 4k30 videos on all lenses side by side on a monitor and I noticed the difference in detail is simply shocking. Ultrawide 4k60 specifically is just unbearable to watch, like a water painting... Samsung uses some sort of frame interpolation to render 4k60 and combined with low bit rates the result is very bad. Because of that, I always stick to 4k30 on all my videos and the quality is really good but honestly, I shouldn't be making this compromise on a 2021 ultra flagship.
8:46 bro, what are you saying? The Samsung handles light a lot better. "Beefeater" is a lot clearer. The pixel sharpens a little more overall. That's it.
Samsung's whole scene looks quite washed out and the Pixel has more details: notice the green lights on the right, which appear almost white in the Samsung, how blurry most things are vs the Pixel, notice the interior of the building seen through the windows, etc. This is all nitpicking of course because we're at the point that most flagship cameras are super good right now. @@ouazizireda8809 For the average person there is almost zero cases where 108mp would be more useful over a larger sensor. There’s a reason as to why good cameras like the Sony A7iii doesn’t have over 100 megapixels, because it makes it harder to capture more light because the physical size of the pixel is smaller. People don't realize that the Pixel's biggest improvement is finally being able to compete with the big boys again. Nobody should have expected it to beat the competition, since mobile camera tech has reached a bit of a plateau, and the Pixel is STILL using older sensors. But it holds up well now in areas in which it's been sorely lacking for at least a couple of years. I'm not making excuses for the Pixel, as I'm definitely a Samsung fan. I'm just trying to keep it real. Truth is: you'll be happy with whatever phone you pick.
The S22 Ultra just needs better consistency when taking pictures. Would like to see Samsung introduce better video quality too. Noise reduction probably is the S21 Ultra's biggest camera flaw, in photo's and video's.
10:44 That's actually not the reason. The pixel size doesn't affect the total amount of light that is captured. More pixels just mean more read noise and that's why Samsung and Google have sensors with a 12 megapixel analog binning mode, where the read noise is lower than in the full resolution mode (probably comparable to a 12 megapixel sensor). Probably, they do use the analog binning mode of the sensor for video.
When using the normal camera you should take more pictures of people. I feel like that's majority of the pics that people take and it'll help with comparison a lot. I've only seen one reviewer do this and I thought that the Pixel's main camera was worse when taking pictures of people that the Samsung. Samsung's video is becoming worse and worse, the more they move towards higher resolution sensors. The maker of , the still ahead of it's time , NX1, is making such a wrong move, it's unbelievable. Instead of making a large high res sensor, make a large lower res sensor, like a 1/1.3 inch 20MP sensor! Anybody with a little knowledge of cameras, will tell how bad extreme high resolution sensors are at video.
Awesome video! All but the macro test, use the 4x lense to get really close instead of the main or ultrawide sensor on the pixel. It will BLOW you away
9:43 Actually, that's not the reason. The S21 Ultra's 10x camera captures a lower total(!) amount of light per time than the Pixel's 4x camera. But the S21 Ultra's 10x camera captures a higher(!) amount of light per time from distant objects(!) than the Pixel 6 Pro. One of the reasons why the S21 Ultra's 10x camera might be not that good in low light is because there are far more pixels per object, this leads to more read noise per object.

All these "which camera is the best" RUclips reviews makes me crazy because none of you get it right. Which camera is best is very very simple to determine, but none of you are able to understand. Sure, you examine other things about the camera like colors & features, but you don't understand what image "quality" means. If you were getting into a cab at the airport at 3:15 PM, and getting into a limousine 9 cars away was Bob Dylan, and you had one chance to get a photo, which phone would create the best image for you to keep & share forever? Simple. Zoom, don't zoom, crop, don't crop, it makes no difference. Which phone will produce an image that will be the sharpest/cleanest with most detail? But in all these reviews the reviewer never gets there.

i disagree with your first few comparisons, i like the Samsung pics better, the Pixel although had better detail, it was too bright or blown out. yes the Samsung lost some shadow detail while focusing on the sun, but if you simply tap the tree then you would get a better picture without focusing on the sun.
Please do not compare 4k 60 vs 4k 30 because the 4k 30 will be better processed due to it has lesser frames to pull and to process while the higher frame rate will of course be smoother but will suffer more on video processing.

Those portraits are way better on the pixel. Not sure why you say it was really bad. Those selfie shots are way better on the pixel. But u focused on your coat and clouds instead on your face
Good video comparison which especially proves my complaint that Samsung and all the rest of companies should invest money, time and resources on keeping on improving the front facing camera that still needs a lot of work especially on challenging conditions not on trying to hide it. Why can't people just wait for the big Google update from the camera thats coming today? Google tried telling yall and you stoll don't listen. Luckily it still did great even without the iosate but this is a huge software update happening lol.
Can i get more information about Camera Update from GG ?
@@pearapplegrape5443 pixel 6 and 6 pro will officially be on market tomorrow, and the software update will be available today or tomorrow. It's a big update which should fix many issues, so I am looking forward to reviews after the update for a more accurate assessment.
There is a launch day update tomorrow for pixel 6 pro. Never understood pre launch tests
Wonder if the power and volume buttons are going to be "in the wrong place" when his full review comes out. Lol 😆
0:50 Those are geese bruh
After using the S21U from day 1 since the release I still cannot believe that they haven't fixed the video quality. It's just overall bad.
They can't fix because of 108MP sensor , more pixel more noise.
When video recording the 108MP sensor doesn't used pixel binning like take a photography.
@@popguy1234 yeah its impossible to fix it, I have the s20 ultra and the night video is insanely bad.
Bro hopped into the meat and potatoes so fast I had to do a double take. Nice👏
Can't remember the last time anyone reviewed a phone and talked about the the main feature... Making a fucking call its a phone not a camera
Most of pixel's flaws are software issue which we know google will fix them. We will wait for future camera comparisons
I vote S21 ultra.. I am loving it 😍
And not a fan of pixel with out much tech
Love mine s21 ultra is a ultra beast
It’s not controversial that Pixel 6 video looks better now than Samsung. HDR+ is now on video too, thanks to Tensor.
Pixel 6 Pro- King of Photography
IPhone- King of Videography and Best All Rounder
Samsung- Boo
Ayo THE BEARD AND MOUSTACHE SUIT YOU REALLY WELL MAN
I can say, after having my Pixel 2 XL for 4 years, the shots have gotten better with each software update. My phone still holds up against even newer iPhones, and actually looks better, when shot side by side. So I fully expect all the Pixel 6 Pro photos to be even better in just a few months to a year.
yes i agree cause he hasa potancial
Which one should i buy ? I really want a great camera but sometimes the pixel is better sometimes the samsung is idk
Don't forget: This is a comparison between a 1200$ Galaxy S21 Ultra and a 899$ Google Pixel 6 Pro.
3:56 almost as good? The pixel was better. I don't know what photos you were looking at but look at the amount of detail and sharpness at 3:30 on the Pixel especially looking at the details being preserved in the purple lit areas is not even close. The S21 pictures were just awfully blurry and full of haze. Get your eyes checked mate
800€ vs 1259€ el pixel acaba de salir seguramente recibirá alguna actualización que lo mejore aún más el Samsung ya no tiene más mejora .
Samsung en España es para 1000 o 1100… Pixel es para 849
Those portraits are way better on the pixel. Not sure why you say it was really bad. Those selfie shots are way better on the pixel. But u focused on your coat and clouds instead on your face
Use the 4x zoom lens for macro.
Don't agree on Night Mode 1. The "Beefeater" sign cannot be read on the Pixel shot.
U can't just compare the 30fps to 60fps on selfie ved ... 60 fps is harder to process
The Pixel was so much better for the portrait of you ! The s21 was blurry! @ 7:50
My boy, that was what I wanted to see, a very complete and well put together side by side comparison with a variety of shots!
Does the Pixel have a dex like feature as galaxy?
Good video comparison which especially proves my complaint that Samsung and all the rest of companies should invest money, time and resources on keeping on improving the front facing camera that still needs a lot of work especially on challenging conditions not on trying to hide it. Even the rear cameras still needs improvement.
Samsung had better front facing photos than the pixel.....
@@Weezzer008 I'm not saying it's not better than on the Pixel but it still needs a lot of work so why waste time, money and resources in trying to hide it instead of improving it even more?
It'll be interesting to see Pixel 6 PRO vs Xiaomi MI 11 Ultra because of same main sensors
Xiaomi software is worse than pixel's.
13:01 or you could say the P6 Pro is better at detecting faces and accurately applied blur because why would you want the portion of the tree not to be blurred? It makes the rest of the portrait appear jarring
I have an s21U and im prolly gonna buy the pixel 7 pro next year don't get me wrong the s21 ultra is a beast but samsung shittynos is so bad
The pixel blur misses a couple spots in the photo of the dog. But the subject of the dog was more detailed! Which is why it won the poll more then likely.
yup ppl focus on the main thing and that was the dog.... normal ppl ofc so yeah
@@ouazizireda8809 yea at the end of the day our photos focus are the subject.
Great vid, thank you for sharing. How do you think the phones would compare if they used a 3rd party paid camera app and shooting in RAW? (ex. Camera FV5)
I really think you messed up the left and right on your computer vs what you have on the video. In many cases you say the pixel is horrible but clearly it's the s21 that is a but blurry. Please check it again.
The fact that the s21 ultra is months older, it's still perform well.
Also hundreds of dollars more
7:48 lol the difference is one before a night out and other after?
I paused when you chose the Samsung for the portrait of your dog as I didn't agree, but I completely agree with it messing up the leash
But it really looks bad the shoot
The dog is blurry and it messed up the leash. How is it better than the S21?
Honestly the pixel looks better at 10x to me.
And that 4x is Amazing at portrait shots (not portrait Mode).
Also i dont understand why reviewers review portrait mode, does Anyone use that?? Just use the 4x on the pixel and you get Real portrait shots with Real bokeh, looks 100 times better
People never test that, and I take the pictures like that with my s20 ultra, 4x looks great.
2:01 but the S21 also focused on the cup of sugar in the background while the P6 Pro accurately applies bokeh
that on him if he move a phone a bit he applies the bokeh with ez and he knew that that why he picked tha s21
Awesome
S21 ultra starting 2021 best camera smartphone
30frame video vs 60frame video is not suitable to compare!
I don’t comment much, but I really appreciate these videos. Thanks man 👍🏽
By the way. You've been using prerelease software. All Pixel 6 and 6 pro phones will have the full software release October 28th.
Can't really tell any major differences....if this is a blind test I won't be able to tell which is which.
Are you kidding ? 12:00 look at the building behind you.
1:25 honestly this guy needs to get a new pair of glasses, the Samsung obviously took a more detailed photo.. Also the videos on the Samsung cannot be this bad.. maybe he's using the Exynos version, that's why the videos and even some of the photos are this bad
In first photo u forgot to mention how pixel is totally blown out the sky
Android Central says the Pixel 6 pro has Macro capability, it's in the telephoto lens. Is this correct, I ordered mine but won't get it till Dec. But I would like to know.
For macro, use th 4x zoom of the pixel.
Eagerly waiting for your MacBook Pro review 🙏
tech has gotten so good that flafship phones all have well-rounded cameras. Camera comparison is not as necessary as before.
Your summing up is nonsense, Daniel. Most of the normal shots are very close, as both phones have great cameras. However, the S21 Ultra absolutely creams the
Pixel in both macro and telephoto capabilities. The phones are definitely nor nearly equal in my opinion. I don't own either phone, but do trust my own eyes.
Very well done and interesting comparison.
