Thank you SO MUCH for making this video. It's the only one I've found that addresses tumors on the penis. Currently we're waiting on labs to come back. Our vet said my boxer has either a venereal tumor (but he is NEVER around any other dogs and is neutered and 10 years old) or a mast cell tumor. She said surgery would be difficult because there isn't room for good margins. My dog is acting perfectly fine for now. I just noticed the growth and brought him in. When they pulled back his sheath, the growth was MUCH larger than I thought. I know the final labs aren't back but I'm so worried about everything. He's old for a boxer and that makes decisions harder. I suppose I could go on forever but mainly I want to thank you for this video. I wish there was more available information on the subject.

I have an 11 yrs. old Boxer and if I would had seen this video weeks ago I wouldn’t have cried so much for my dog and mostly I wouldn’t had taken him to have a mass on his prepuce aspired. At first it was a mass like a marble in size, then his vet prescribed a pill to be taken for 10 days. After that, the mass divided into 2 masses. I was desperate and took him to another vet and then to another and she decided to perform a cytology on one of the masses. This was chaotic because my dog started licking and it got worse, and worse to the point of desperation (now his prepuce is gigantic, and looks like it is about to explode) for me and my family. Today, after waiting from March on a waiting list to see the only surgeons here on the island that could help my dog, I was finally told about the penis amputation and am so scared and sad for my dear boy. I fear for his life, but here u stated that a dog can live well after this. Your wise and knowledgeable words have comforted me very much. I have to thank you so much. Next Monday he will be taken-in to run a series of tests; heart, electrocardiograph, blood, x-rays, and such, and if he is found with a bad heart, or spread masses on the x-ray of his chest, then the doctor told me that she wouldn’t proceed with the surgery. Hi doc :( my dog diagnosed with penile tumor wayback 2019 ,doc said my dog should undergo with chemo but because we can't afford the fee that time we didn't let our dog to undergo with chemo, now it's 2021 his tumor is getting bigger about 2inch now it's above his testicles and there's about 1inch big in the tip of his penis :( he's still active he loves to play with us, he eats, drink, he don't even loose weight, but my concern is he's bleeding all the time :( I really love my dog, I want him to survive with operation if ever he'll undergo with that.
@@4ngeljoy omg :( hopefully he'll get better, actually my dog is fine now i really tried my best he didn't undergo with chemo or operation but his tumor is gone now, are you familiar with moringa plant? It is common here in my country (Asia, Philippines) I feed him with fish only ,and I added vegetables plus a moringa powder, it's very helpful 😭 you can search it on RUclips about benefits of moringa plant to dogs. That plant is our savior, his tumor is gone now 😭 hopefully moringa powder is available in your country 🥺
@@marielle2497 Hi I've been researching about this similar case since my dog possibly have TVT too, his genital is bleeding and the tip is swelling. We also don't have the means to have him undergo chemo or operation. Thank God I found comments like this it gave me hope not to give up on my fur baby. I'm going to try this along with Guyabano, Barley and activated charcoal. Hopefully it heals my dog as well. 🙏
So my dog has a tumor right on his thing, and when the doctor said that it's a tumor, he said that he would take the mass and biopsy like you said and send it off for testing and also neuter him as well. Now, I really don't like neutering dogs, just like clipping their ears to make them stand up, I don't like that. So my question to you is, why is he doing it all at the same time? Taking off the mass and sending it off for testing and neutering at the same time instead of sending it off for testing FIRST before he goes ahead with neutering him? Because I would rather send it first BEFORE neutering.
There are a number of different things that could be going on with your pet that could be causing these symptoms. First you would go to the vet they would dispense probably some antibiotics and probiotics. Pending the results from their physical exam and a urinalysis
@@DrLera they had suggested antibiotics and some more injections. My pet has been given full dosage of it still the problem ist solved yet. Can you tell me the cause of his problem, please doctor
