Yes, I think it's a cool sub theme to have for City, smaller and cheaper F1 cars. The Speed Champions ones would be far too big for a LEGO City anyway!!!!
@TyrinOConnor-Cherrington Yes, but I'm a bit sad that Lego are dropping one of the three Collectable Minifig series that we get each year, and replacing it with a series of cars instead though!
The piece used to change the tires have actually been around for a long while, first introduced in the Lego Overwatch theme. They’ve been used to create different types of weapons for years.
I have no problems with them doing different themes each year. I just hope that they continue to make Space sets as I really enjoyed them last year. Of these sets I think I will get the pit crew.
@@Krautline Yes, since my reply to you, I've seen that image too, IT IS EPIC !!!! It's called "Modular Galactic Spaceship", as well as a nice little tractor and a camper van being released too.
I’m torn. I’m a City fan but I’ve already got Speed Champions F1 cars so personally I don’t see the point in getting both, so I need to decide 😂 But I do like the F1 truck with 2 cars and like how collecting all these city sets gives you a fair bit… hmm…
I know what you mean. I think the reason I'm pleased, is because since Speed Champions went from 6-studs wide to 8-studs wide in 2020, I stopped collecting them, because they're too big for LEGO City scale. So I'm pleased that all these are 6-studs wide again. SC are so much more detailed, but just too big for me.
OOOH that would be cool. That set of cars would be amazing. They made an old-skool 1980's WRC Audi Quattro, in the Speed Champions series. That was a cool looking car. brickset.com/sets/76897-1/1985-Audi-Sport-quattro-S1 And they also made a WRC Ford Fiesta, which I thought looked amazing, and it had swappable bonnet headlights: brickset.com/sets/75885-1/Ford-Fiesta-M-Sport-WRC
Definitely a day 1 purchase for some not sold on getting all of them the no extra hair seems like just a cheap cop out when we could get a new hair piece per f1 driver although basing them on the rl racers might pose a problem legally
Yes, an extra hair piece doesn't;t seem much to add. Bt then, generally it's only teh SC sets that do this, and not often City sets. I imagine they wouldn't be able to specify that a minifig was a certain driver, I doubt that the faces are meant to be anyone in particular. But then, we have had quite a few SPECIFIC F1 driver minifigs over the years, there were several back in the Ferrari cars in the Racers theme, in teh early 2000's and more recently the Ayrton Senna minifig this year: brickset.com/sets/10330-1/McLaren-MP4-4-Ayrton-Senna and the Nigel Mansell minifig next year: brickset.com/sets/10353-1/Williams-Racing-FW14B-Nigel-Mansell
Yes… if you watch my New Year’s Day shopping video, (at the London Leicester Square store) I tried to get it too but I was told by one of the staff that it hasn’t been released yet. He thinks it’s scheduled for March with some of the F1 Speed Champions sets. He did t seem 100% sure though. The other possibility is May when the F1 collectable car series comes out. I’m trying to find out myself, but I can’t find anyone who definitely knows the release date. I hope that helps.
im not a fan of it. i'm not very happy that this is gonna take up space for other city sets. i don't understand why lego can't just move the cars over to speed champions. city isn't really a racing line, and it would be nice to keep it that way.
