Barely know anything about cares. However, these are clearly made with love and care and I'm sure they'll bring many new fans of LEGO, teens and adults
0:03 wasn’t the helmet design changed already before? Because the old spacemen helmets were just round around the minifig heads and the newer one has a different design with it being less flat around the minifig head and more bulging, the ones that the drivers are wearing.
Im glad someone else spotted this lol there are also racing style helmets ( biker helmets ) they have been around for decades ! And as you said the Space helmet has changed too lol
Some great sets, but also some massive opportunities missed. The Speed Champions sets could have had 2 helmets recreating each driver in the team - some people like myself would then have bought 2 of each!! They absolutely should have done a CMF set, again one for each team, recreating the driver overalls and again include helmets for both drivers - again fans like me would buy 2 of each. And I really hope that they have the good sense to do an F1 driver minifig keyring!!
I can't wait to see this theme develop over time. I can already imagine looking back at these in 20 years in the same way we look back at Star Wars sets from the early 00's compared to the sets we get now
Nice to see wider rear tires on the speed champions finally. They look too long though. The Williams looks good and wider rears! Will need a set of those for my Senna McLaren.
Some of them are not stickers, but most of them are because they don’t wanna put like a Bajillion stickers, but instead they make printed pieces which has printed letters and designs on them for the F1
Loving the new Speed Champions and Icons FW14B (I first started watching F1 in the late 80's). At first glance last night they all looked very similar but this has shown that the rear of the cars are all very different. Can't wait to purchase these and feature the Speed Builds on my RUclips channel! 😁
9:48 omg that set is £69.99, I would love this set but dayum that price, and only 799 pieces, I have Star Wars heads with more pieces and cost £10 or more LESS than this, so much for his speech of bringing families together with prices that Lego keep pushing out whether its F1 or not. yes I'm complaining but lego just keeps pushing prices up, how am I supposed to build my Lego universe.
These are so not my thing, however I might get 1 or 2 of each of those CMF style ones for the helmets. They looks super awesome with prints and that new mold.
From a customs POV the CMF helmets look great. I just think it's a missed opportunity not to get some proper driver likeness in there. You're telling me we can get official licensed minifigs of Ayrton Senna and Nigel Mansell (Two very famous drivers from the 80's and 90's) but not Lewis Hamilton, Max Verstappen or Charles Leclerc? Not even a Lance Stroll or a Zhou Guanyu? I suppose the idea from Lego is that they don't want to waste time getting the license to say Daniel Ricciardo and Logan Sargeant only from them both to be dropped by their teams mid-season. And we know next year there will be a load of driver changes up and down the grid anyway with Hamilton moving to Ferrari and Kimi Antonelli replacing him at Mercedes; the teams themselves are mostly going to be exactly the same. (With just VCARB and Sauber both being rebranded as Racing Bulls and Audi respectively)
How can they put the same 4 wheels it ruins the look, they look awful for that one reason, they look malnourished Please make a new mould for wider rear wheels its what makes an f1 car so fast looking
They don’t all work together, the speed champions are too big to fit in the city truck for example, I thought the Ferrari City set would be fitting but after watching it closely it won’t work with the speed champion sets. Overall it is a bit disappointing, the collectibles are meh, no real pilot minifigs, city sets too small to works with speed champions. Quite expensive if you want all speed champion with no possibility to buy all 10 for a lower price. Why releasing a Mclaren speed champion before those ? Also, the previously released Mercedes F1 speed champion is hideous compared to those 10 new ones. On the plus side , the Nigel Mansell set looks great with the different tires but its a shame they didn’t implement this on the Ayrton Senna one. Ferrari technic is really nice too ngl but I’m not shedding 200 u$d on those.
Are they finally going to make the rear tires fatter than the front ones? Doesn't look it from the videos. At least there are a lot of prints instead of stickers. And I love how every car is different for every team. I'm not sure that man was correct about the same helmet design since spaceman... there have been new ones since then.
Oh man I've fallen asleep during the intro. Suddenly within 2 minutes into the video a RUclips commercial woke me up due to it being slightly more exciting.
The collectibles series is sad. Everything else looks cool. If they had just left off the collectible series it would have been perfect. It was subtraction by addition
Lego: we need to appear to be more environmentally friendly so we’re gonna use paper bags not plastic ones now (in some sets). Also LEGO: Let’s team up with one of the single most polluting sports possible and release a tonne of sets based around them! (And for anyone who says “oh but F1 is using renewable fuel” there’s no such thing. You’re still burning fuel regardless of how you make the fuel and it’s currently only 10% of the total fuel in the cars). 🤷 10:17 no mention of the fact that in the new Icons F1 car they’ve added wider wheels and tyres to the rear, one of the major criticisms of the first Icons F1 set?
Absolutely spot on! If you look at the amount of pollution pumped into the atmosphere by F1, not just in the races but also in their worldwide operations and transport, it’s staggering figure. In 2023 LEGO carbon emissions from all their operations was 119,000 tons compared to 256,000 tons by F1….
@@bloodymarvelous4790I have no intention of buying them as I have no interest in F1. But, it doesn’t stop me having an opinion about the impact of F1 and LEGO on the environment.
In 2023 The LEGO Group carbon emissions for all their operations was 119,000 tons. In comparison F1 produced 256,000 tons. 49% of was down to F1 logistics and 29% was down to business travel. Whereas I applaud LEGO for striving to reduce their impact on the environment, it seems a tad strange that they would team up with an organisation that emits double the amount of carbon. Of course, F1 just happen to be a seriously rich organisation that attracts some wealthy fans, and The LEGO Group are very keen for their own products to be seen in the same bracket!
F1 as an organisation is Carbon neutral. They use carbon offsetting to do so. They are also pushing for ever more environmentally friendly strategies. Might want to check the pesky facts before making false claims.
@@adrianhjordan1981 the fuel used in F1 racing is indeed Carbon Neutral. I was not referring to their efforts in that respect. It is still less hypocritical than our politicians flying their taxes subsidized airplanes to meet for climate summits around the world. Nigel mansel set - they made the rear wheels larger than the front which was something that bothered me with the senna set

im buying the ferrari just to not put the hp stickers lmao
Is it only me or do the speed champion Lego sets look like they are on rims instead of tires 😂
I have a question, Why only Red Bull and Vcarb have different halo design
This would have been so much better, if the audio wasn’t so terribly muffled and sibilant.
