Ohh I loved watching this, I wanted to linger in your cupboards and drawers to discover all the magic! Your studio is so beautiful, I have zoned my areas too and it makes it so much easier to work
each new moon in The Studio Club we set intentions and part of that is a small habit change that will support the intention. Mine was to keep the main table clear. 😂
How sympathetic, that's how that an inspiring place should look like! Thank you for sharing, cheers from a hoarder of beautiful things (vintage, textile, pigment, potted plants, buttons etc) in the Southwest of Ireland
Jane this just looks like such a gorgeous and inspiring place to work!! I love the idea of a pinboard that has the contents of your head on - I will be putting my pinboard back up in my new study soon and this will be my new goal for it!
Hello Jane, This morning I discovered your RUclips channel about your month in Naples, then I watch this video about your studio. I enjoyed your conversation and your thoughtfulness. Also, I was impressed with your personal style and colours. I’m not sure if you make your clothes, however, if you don’t mind me asking, do you have a pattern for the denim dress you are wearing? I look forward to viewing more of your RUclips channel; I’ve shared the link with a friend; I think she will enjoy your channel too. (From Sydney Australia)
Hi Di - thank you very much for your lovely comment and for sharing my channel with your friend. The dress is by the British brand Toast - they last well so they make a great work ‘uniform’ and in the UK you can pick them up on EBay/Vinted. I am pretty sure that there are lots of similar patterns out there though - J x
Your studio looks great Jane - it must feel so much more open and allowing a clearer mind for your creativity. I too am a hoarder and have felt huge urge to de clutter over last few years but now it is finally happening this year. It takes sooooo long.....all the clothes too small ....the endless piles of interesting fabric, old china; pictures drawn by little hands....the list goes on!!!! I need space to be creative and identify with your vision . My space is a small spare room but Im hoping to have an area that feels like my creative space . Thanks for inspiration!
I think it has to take a long time really - and recognising that is maybe half the process. Otherwise certainly my tendency has been to start with great gusto and then peter out and stuff everything back into cupboards in a worse state that before! Good luck. X
Hiya, i have just found your channel. Thank you for sharing your space. I am planning to turn my front room into a designated art studio this summer. Its currently not used very much so thought it would be good to repurpose it. It will be nice to inspire my creativity by not having to tidy away my craft things all the time too x
The studio is looking wonderful. Such a beautiful, peaceful, creative space. Hope you have a really lovely weekend Jane. 🌿
Thanks so much Kathryn. I hope that you have a lovely weekend too. J x
Such a lovely space. Love all the zones and vintage furniture.
Thank you Melsa. X

That and making sure that the central table is cleared at the end of the day have made the most difference I think. X
@@snapdragonlife ohh thats a good tip about clearing the table, I will start doing that

I love pinboards. My artist friend Christine has a beautiful pinboard which was moved with great care from one studio to another! X
I love all your botanical prints!
Thank you. I love them too. X
