EDIT: I said I put the razor blade upside down but it was actually the base plate! 🙈

Bless you for actually showing leg hair in the video instead of those reviews that are testing it on one millimeter long leg hair! Just ordered this one as well!

Thank you! I think it’s really important to be authentic and my authentic self is only occasionally shaving! 😂 I also hate that razor adverts have men with full beards and women with absolutely no leg hair!
Let me know how you get on with it 😀

I have a stainless steel razor from Amazon. It was inexpensive and works WONDERFULLY. I don't store mine in the bathroom at all, I'm paranoid the moisture will get to it. I clean and dry it every time I use it and rotate the blade. It has lasted me two years and I'm still on the sample pack of blades I got, though I'm about to run out! Really it's the best investment I've made. 😻

I got mine yesterday, and I’ll tell you besi,
I took a bath for 20 min, Exfoliated and then after the regular shower I used baby oil and then shaved, no cuts or anything cause I took the time, and omg ! My body didn’t itch at all ! Usually I feel so itchy afterwards, shaving the body you really need to give it time

You couldve just took the stand off and slid the razor out and ive noticed whilst you were talking that you have the base on the wrong way the grooves on thr base plate are meant to be pointing up wards so theres a bend in the base that bends the razor blade

You should buy a sampler of different blades to start with, it's really the only way to find out what blade works best for you.

Hi Hayley 😃 My Bambaw safety razor just arrived today, so excited 😃
So, i read the instructions and was a bit insecure about the 30° angle, I needed to see it done in a video before I dare to start 😊 that's how I got to your video.
Thank you so much for explaining and really showing us how. 🙏🌻

@@justjoe5373 yes that's also true 😃 i tried it last week the same day that i saw Hayley's video, and indeed, once you just try it you really feel how to use it. Tried delicate areas too by now, and the skin really reacts alot better then with the single use razors of 4blades 😃 🙈 can't believe how on earth those plastic things ever got more popular then the oldschool razors ♡ gotta love these safety razors ♡

@@emmelynancyboddinhillewaer3827 I think they got popular becouse clean shaven everything became popular and it's quicker to just drag modern razors at the speed of light than to shave with a safety razor, modern ones are way less likely to cut you if you don't take your time even tho they may leave a pretty nasty razor burn

Something to note for all the ladies that might be interested in getting a safety razor: Pretty much all of the safety razors specifically marketed to women are rebranded private label manufactured razors, so chances are you can find the exact same razor for a lot cheaper if you're okay with it not having pastel coloured paint on it. (Look at Weishi, Baili, DS Cosmetics etc.)
Most razors are also cast from Zamak (zinc-copper alloy) that has been chrome plated. It's a decent material and will last long if you look after it, but it can fracture or chip if dropped or knocked, since cast metals are brittle like glass.
The most common breakage you'll see is the top cap's threaded post shearing clean off/having it stay behind in the handle's threads after being dropped from standing height or mishandled during shipping. Due to being cast, they can't be repaired in any way. You could replate a razor after having lost its chrome, though.
In my opinion, the most underrated (and mostly unknown to women wanting to get into using a safety razor) product range out there would be Razorock's line of 100% stainless steel safety razors. (Sold on their ItalianBarber website) They cost only slightly more (around $60 to $70) than most of the razors made of Zamak and they have none of their weaknesses. Definitely the best value for money in the wet shaving market. If you already have a razor, don't sweat it, but if you're still looking to buy one, be sure to check them out. You'd like their "super knurl" handle.
Also, one piece of advice: Wet shave. Canned foam is "dry" and filled with air that makes the experience uneven and its application doesn't prep your hair. Get some sort of brush and a shaving soap that actually lathers well. If you want vegan, PAA's CK6 formula is explosive and synthetic/horse hair brushes don't involve utilizing something from dead animals.

If you're looking for a super light razor, like other commenters have said, Henson's razors are good for that.
